  1. Thanks for the update. I am so thankful that she is doing better.
  2. Update, my mom had her surgery today and she is doing great. They had planned to do a bypass but decided to try doing a cath first. It worked and they put in a stent where she had 99% blockage and was able to use the ballon and other procedures to clear the other 50% blockages. She is in good spirits and had a good dinner. My sister is taking a shift staying with her and I got come home for the night. Thanks everyone for all the prayers. Now in 6 weeks she will have surgery to fix her anurisum.(sp.) Judy
  3. No, We still have not recieved the passports. We just sent for them regular mail. I had to cancel my surgery date to a later time. My mother is having by-pass surgery tomorrow and I needed to be with her. I would have went on with just the reciept that we had applied for. Nina from Dr. Aceves office told me that several others had just showed thier drivers licence, birth certificate and the passport reciept. You can call the Drs. office and talk to them if it would make you feel better about it. You should get yours back in time. Judy
  4. Susan, congrats and be silly all you want. I can hardly wait to be silly and excited over loosing weight. You go girl. Judy
  5. Welcome Steve, We are glad you found this sight. Keep on posting. We will be here for you. Judy
  6. Lisa, We are here for you. It is just harder for some more than others. My doc. told me once along time ago to have a good talk with myself and to get mad at myself. He told me to go outside and yell and scream and stomp my feet until I got myself back in line. LOL, It's a good thing I don't have any close neighbors. I have started to exercise and it is not my favorite thing to do. I am determined to make myself do this. I put a big picture of my kids on my refrigator door to remind me of what I need to do. Late at night is my worse time for wanting to snack. I have found out if I drink a chocolate protien shake I am satisfied. Don't you have the sleeve? Have you thought about getting duodental switch. (The second part of the sleeve procedure?) Lisa, you can do this and you know that. Instead of thinking about food do something for someone. Call an eldery or special needs person or better yet go visit them. Volunteer at a nursing home or animal shelter or where ever needed. I find if I think of doing something to help someone else it makes me feel better about myself. Don't give up. You have come to far. Keep on posting everyday to let us know how you are doing. Hugs, Judy
  7. I joined a Slim and Trim this morning. She said it was just like curves but she has extra workout equiment. It's only 5 minutes from where I work. Cost $27 a month and 4 free visits in the tanning bed. I have never been in a gym or fitness center or t. bed. But I broke free and went today. I really enjoyed it. My parents always said that exercise was for lazy people. Good honest productive hard work everyday and you didn't have to waste your time jumping around.:lol0::lol0::lol0: I just won't tell them. LOL Judy
  8. Bob, It's good that you got things worked out. Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing. We are here for you. Judy

OK, Ladies What is the most crazy, silly, funny, stupid, or exciting gift that you have ever recieved from your husband, boyfriend, lover, betterhalf, ect??? I will start it out with one. My husband:001_tt1: on around our 15th Christmas together gave me a skin divers watch and I can't even swim. I think he must have been wanting to find out how deep the pond is. LOL Judy:lol0::laugh0::lol0::lol0:

  16. Thank you for the kind words. My mother does need me and I will be there for her. She has not had a good 2009. I took her to a Dr. last year for an ear infection. She didn't have one. The Drs. kept doing tests and sending her to another Dr.. This went on for weeks. They finally decided she had something very rare and there was only two recorded cases in history. They admited her to a cancer center in Lexington for two weeks this past April. I never left her side. She had over 20 different Doctors to come and see her. (She said she was an experiment). This is what they found just because she thought she had an ear infection; swelling around the brain-causing deafness, dizzyness, unknown cause-no cure. They did a brain biosopy. 2 hernias. tumor on pancreas-biosopy caused pancreatitis (sp.) not cancer. Not related to swelling around the brain. Diabetic hypothroidism anurisum between heart and stomach. I took her last week for a stress test and echocardigram so they could plan surgery for the anurisum. Now they found out she has some blockage. She has an enlarged heart and a mumor. She said she is never going to be tested for anything else. She said she was in good shape until she went to the Doctor. LOL 73 years young. Thanks for all the support. Judy
  17. All I get is a big white box when I try to go to chat room. Is anyone else having problems? Judy

  20. Thank you everyone. I was very disappointed about having to cancel, but I really do need to put my mom first. I'm the oldest of 6 siblings and she tends to depend on me the most. That is ok. I will be there for her. I can have my surgery at a later time. I haven't told the family that I was having wls so they will never know that I've had to postpone my plans. Thanks for the support and understanding my upset. Judy
