  1. Thanks everyone. I learn something new on here all the time. I will add the papaya pills to my shopping list. I plan to be prepared for everything. LOL, I should be though, because of the wait I've had to do.
  2. Welcome to the Vsg family forum Austin. I am sure you will find that everyone here is very helpful. You will find alot of info on this sight.
  3. Glad to hear that everything went ok Nana. Keep us informed of your progress.
  4. SoCal. Thinking of you today. I hope you have a speedy, noneventful recovery. Looking forward to hearing all about it.
  5. I filled out the form on Dr. Aceves web sight one night and called the next day and Nina told me I was approved. Then she gave me several dates to choose from for surgery and told me to call or e-mail the date back that I wanted. Then to e-mail her my flight info. Fast, friendly and kind service.
  6. Good luck on your journey. It sounds like you are ready to go. Keep on posting and keep us informed of your progress.
  7. Hang in there Alisia. Just keep thinking about those new clothes you want. Maybe looking for a hot new outfit for the upcoming holidays. Glad to see you are back home and doing ok.
  8. Haley, Do you know what caused your esophogus to have to be rebuilt? Did this happen during your vsg? Who did the surgery to fix your esophogus? Sorry for all the questions but it might help someone else in the future that this could happen to.
  9. Dybarra, Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm glad you found us. The people on this board are more like family that are trying to support each other. I'm sure you will find answers to all your questions here.
  10. Lan, You are going to be ok. It is normal to worry about surgery and what life is going to be like afterwards. I am just pretending that I have this "thing" in my abdomen that has to come out of there for me to live. I know that God will take care of me through my journey. Good luck!
  11. Haley, I am so sorry for all that you are going through. I will pray that you heal soon. We are here for you, so please keep us all informed of your progress. Thank you for sharing your story. Hugs

  20. Nanna, Thank you for posting your story. It really touched my heart. You are right about the food coming before our perfect God. When I think of all the money and time that I have wasted on food it is terrible. Just think what I could have been doing instead to help someone else. Hugs to you.
  21. Lan, Welcome to the forum. I'm also 54 and will be getting the sleeve soon. It is a big decision to make but I know it is the right one every time I look at my children and grandchildren. They need me to be healthy and I do not want them taking care of me for years because of my health. Just hang in there and it will work out.
  22. Thinking of you. Hope to hear from you soon.
  23. Hi Lizzy I will be having my surgery the day after you. Flying out of Louisville, Ky. on Sept 30th and surgery on Oct. 1st. My hubby will be coming with me. Are you going alone? I can't wait to meet you. Maybe we can talk in the chat room.
  24. Good luck Red. Keep us posted on your journey.
