Sexuality and the sleeve
I have also found that my sex drive increased since my weight loss. I saw on Oprah that for every 30 to 50 lbs of weight loss you gain 1" in penis size so in my case......... All jokes aside I think that the weight loss has helped my physical ability to perform. Now if I can just find a partner...... http://www.betterbodyjournal.com/fitness-exercises/will-weight-loss-and-exercise-make-your-penis-bigger

My progress
Thanks for all of the nice compliments. The surgery has changed my life. I am active and way more productive. I have recently changed jobs and my weight loss has even made me more marketable. I am able to hike, bike ride, hunt and even ski. I exercise as much as possible and do my best to keep it fun. I have an 8, almost nine year old daughter and we exercise together. Last March we even won a father daughter ski race medal! I eat normal meals just a lot smaller then before. I pay attention to the rules, I never eat and drink at the same time, I eat Proteins, then veggies and then carbs only if I have any room left. I still enjoy eating and I try not to feel deprived. I do not eat much fried foods because they don't sit well in my stomach. I was never much of a sweets person but I do occasionally have a little ice cream with my family. I weigh myself once a week and adjust my calories and exercise accordingly. I have not actually had an issue with my weight going up. I also go to the monthly support group in my area. I think that is a big help.

Do you regret surgery and miss eating bigger meals?
The only thing I regret about the surgery is not having it sooner. Sometimes I feel a little left out if everyone around me is eating a huge meal. I think that is one of my own personal psych issues. I think it’s important not to feel too deprived. I know that for me feeling deprived pre-surgery almost always resulted in a binge. I still enjoy eating. I try to focus in on the quality and not the quantity!

I will have a frozen mini Reeses PBC in my freezer for weeks. Before my surgery they never even made it into the freezer!

Sashimi?
I am a big Sashimi fan. I eat it at least once a week. Before my surgery I could never get out of a sushi place spending less then $50.00. Now I can't eat $50 worth in a month!

Question: Eating Cold Cereal
I try to stay away from the cold cereal. My nutritionist likened cereal eating to drinking and eating at the same time.

Carb and weight loss poll
I find that carbs, especially refined carbs stimulate my appetite. I do my best to avoid them. I find that I enjoy the taste of unrefined carbs and they do not leave me with the "hollow" feeling i get from refined carbs. I think it is also important to include some healthy fats as they enhance flavor and can suppress hunger. They also have tons of health benefits.

Weight regain with VSG?
Weight regain is something that i worry about as like most of us I have gained and lost this weight many times. In the past when I have dieted I have always felt deprived. I really do not feel deprived with the sleeve. I remember how bad i felt when I was 400 pounds and I never want to go back. I had most of my stomach surgically removed to assist me in losing weight. I watch what I eat every day but i am much less obsessed with food. Sometimes I make bad choices but most of the time I make good choices. I do not beat myself up oer the bad choices. I never eat and drink at the same time. I exercise regularly. I am very active in my daily life. I weigh myself a couple of times a week. If I ever begin to gain weight I want to know about it right away. I dont think I can do much more right now. Worring about it will not help.
