Sleeved and lovin' it
Good way to look at it.

My future babies
Yes, that's why I don't go there very often -- although everyone of them were ever so friendly!

and yet ANOTHER question
Yep 3 hours ... I always knew that for food; however, I didn't think the same was true for Water ... but apparently now it is and that is going to be very difficult for me. I always have a bottle of water on my nightstand.

New to this site
When did your hair start falling out? I'm almost 2 weeks post-op and that hasn't happened -- and I hope it doesn't. I have really thick hair; however, I just had my hairdresser thin the heck out of it so I won't get so hot this summer.

Tape and incisions
I always have goo-b-gone on hand. WD-40 would work, too; however, I think I'll just use good ole soap and Water .. that seems to take it off with some effort. Only have 2 more tapes to come off and then I'll be done and I think by then, I'll quit covering my drain incision too. Yolanda said to keep it covered 15 days.

I've been sleeved
I never order soup out -- it is just not my favorite thing and always tastes way too salty. I don't salt anything, so everything always tastes more salty to me than others. I don't eat any frozen dinners for that same reason. It's just right now, I'm trying to find something that tastes good and has some flavor. I think I will quit weighing myself .. and the scale has brand new batteries in them - changed them the day after I got home from the hospital. Thanks all.

Hello from Sunny California!!
Sounds good to me - we need the rain. Only problem is that when it rains, it's like the first snow storm and the idiots don't know how to drive... since it rains so seldom, the oil builds up on the road and when it does rain early on it's like driving on black ice.

Jell-O Shooters a HIT!!
Because they make chocolate pudding instead and chocolate jello would be gross I think.

Another newbie with many, many questions!
Welcome to the the site. I had surgery on 6/12 and was back to work on 6/19. Only restriction is not to lift anything more than 15 lbs. You should be able to get your sleeve and attend the wedding no problem. You're up and moving within 2-3 hours of your surgery and the more you move the better you feel.

Jell-O Shooters a HIT!!
Oh, never thought of that - that would have been the perfect topping.

August 4th !!
Congratulations ... you sound just like me - expert dieter ... but bored quickly. Also was going for the band until I went to a seminar and then found this site (actually predecssor LBT) and did even more research. I believe it's definitely the way to go.

What ins. pays for VSG?
No, 60 isn't that old; however, you can have dentures at any time -- My dad has had them since his late 20's and he's 81 now.

Shout out to Dr. Aceves pts and airline question
And Southwest does not ever appear on any of the other sites, expedia, travelocity -- you can go to www.southwestairlines.com and sign up for their "ding" program -- it will give you notification when flights to cities you are interested in are available. They are time limited but they have some great deals. I got my best friend from Indiana r/t for $105 ... you had to travel and Wednesday - we didn't care, she was opened to travel any day ... so it worked. They regularly have tix to SD for $48.

Anyone take nexium more than once a day?
I start to feel it about 7 at night ... so maybe I should take it at like 4 and see if that makes a difference. I don't know anymore about anything.

HELP!!!! Anyone post-op!!!
Yep as soon as I saw watermelon, I went and bought one and have it all chopped up ... I had some today. Eyfura - if it makes you feel any better, I am not able to eat much either -- especially in the morning -- a few bites of applesauce (that I've mixed my medicine in) is about it. And then I feel like it's stuck right between my boobs. So this morning, I thought I'd drink a bit of Water to "thin" it out and move it through. Instead I threw up all the water and part of the applesauce. I gave up. I just sipped water until "lunch" time and ate some of my Soup... it feels stuck too. I talked to Gaby and she told me to stick with WARM in the mornings and not try anything cold until lunch or after. All I can figure is I'm still swollen. I hate the feeling and am concerned about getting in enough liquids .... so far my urine is still pretty clear, so I think I'm doing okay. Hang in there!

Diet off track
What's the brand? I've check Albertson's and Smith's (Kroger) and they don't have any low carb

I've been sleeved
WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? Okay - so I stepped on the scale and I'm UP 3.0 lbs.???? I reweighed 3x since I couldn't believe my eyes and then my heart sunk to my toes ... still lodged there I believe. The only thing I can even think it might be is the Soup I had for dinner last night. I've never liked Soups for the fact they have way to much sodium in them for my tastes; however, I didn't notice that with last night's dinner (and today's lunch). Although this morning my fingers are swollen and my rings are tight, so I am guessing it's from the sodium. So I don't know if I should weigh once a week, take a knife and slash my wrists (only kidding on this), sit down and cry or what !?! Anyone else have this problem post-op? :tongue_smilie: :sad0:

Well, we're glad you're here and I definitely don't envy you at all on the moving, packing, downsizing issue.

My new best "aid"
So I didn't take any benadryl and I didn't have a coughing fit and I slept all night. Maybe my body is finally get back into "normal" whatever that may be ... still have the sensitive nose and everything tastes sickening sweet that I enjoyed before surgery.

Got an ice-Cream Maker?
Well I remembered last night that I had made the ice cream -- too late for me to eat any before bed; however DF did have some. He said "this isn't bad" and ate the cup I had given him. In getting ready for bed, he said he really liked it. I said good. Does it need something or not need something. He said he wished it was sweeter; however the carmel flavor was perfect. So this morning I get up, get the cup out of the freezer I fixed for me last night, take one or two bites and that's it -- it's so darn SWEET I can't eat anymore. I'm BUMMED :tongue_smilie: So I guess he gets the rest of this flavor and I'm off to discovery something else that's not quite so sweet ... maybe Ruthi's tofu find ...

Hello from Sunny California!!
Elisabeth - you send your rain to Las Vegas and I'll send you some of our sun. I can't even remember the last time it rained here ... and we're already over 100 in temp and summer only officially started on Saturday.
