  1. I have one. At my old apartment, my neighbor had one of those stupid white plastic patio chairs that are so flimsy. Well I had to go to the ER for a fractured ankle. My mom brought me home at like midnight, and I had a cast on. She took my keys to unlock my door, so I sat in that stupid chair to wait. And wouldn't you know my fat @ss broke the stupid chair? Yeah, so I had to explain to my neighbor that I broke it and bought him a new one. Wow that was super embarassing.
  2. I hear that! I went shopping again this weekend and was shocked at how much better things are fitting me. And old clothes, too! Going bra shopping this weekend and I cannot wait. I need some new ones! Congrats to everyone!
  3. Thanks Ann! Today is a good day, lol. We are all doing so well on here!
  4. This hasn't happened to me, and I'm almost 5 weeks out. I think maybe you should call your doctor to make sure nothing is wrong. Best of luck.
  5. June 15th- 269 lbs June 22nd- 266 lbs So I'm down 3 and my first fill is a week from today!
  6. Sounds like it'll be fun though Sarah. I am getting my hair cut as well, tomorrow. I haven't had it cut since January. My hair is pretty long now, but I don't know what I want to do with it tomorrow....
  7. I'm going through the same thing, I don't have my first fill until June 29th, but I'm hungry alot! Not mentally hungry, but physically, my stomach is always growling like one to 2 hours after eating. I'm trying to eat as much protein as I can to stave the hunger off, but that doesn't really seem to be helping. I'm doing it all on will power right now, but it's getting hard!
  8. I can sympathize. I was banded May 20th, and since surgery I've lost 10.5 lbs. Now, I thought I was doing pretty well, but I've seen others on here who were banded around the same time as me, and they've lost alot more. I know that everyone is different, but it was a bit discouraging. Since the pre-op diet I've lost 26 lbs, but since surgery, I thought I would have lost more than 10. I'm not going to really worry about it, but to see others losing more than me can be a bit hard at times. Hang in there, we'll make it eventually.
  9. Wow, you guys are all doing so well! I'm jealous, lol! Keep up the good work everyone!!!
  10. whoa! 20 POUNDS IN 10 DAYS! That's amazing! I'm so happy to hear that you are doing better Lisa! I hope it only gets easier for you every day. I am doing really well, go for my first fill in less than 2 weeks and I'm so excited.
  11. Hi everyone, I was just curious to see how everyone is doing weightwise. So, I'd like to know, what is your surgery date, and how much have you lost SINCE surgery, not including the pre op dieting. Thanks and best of luck to everyone! My date: May 20, 2009 Weight loss since: 10.5 lbs
  12. In order for my insurance to cover me, I had to have a bmi of 50. I didn't have a bmi of 50 so I had to gain some weight in order for insurance to cover. I did and I'm so glad that I did because I feel, so far, that this is the best thing that I've ever done!
  13. Lisa, do you have a therapist you can call? If not, maybe try the one who did your psych eval for your surgery? Sounds like you are going through a really rough time. I wish there was something I could say to make it better or easier for you other than I know that it will go away. But having panic attacks like that sounds pretty serious. You may benefit from talking to someone who will have some good advice. I'm really sorry you are going through this. It should be a good time for you, not one that brings on anxiety. I feel really bad for you. If you need to talk about anything, let me know. WOW, 16 pounds in a week??!?!?!?!?! That's unheard of! And I was excited about my 2 pounds this week, lol. My weekend was fine, pretty boring, but nice. LIke I said, just remember it will pass, but if you think it's getting to be too much to handle, call someone! I hate to see anyone go through this.
  14. Linda, I agree with Spidey Mom, try some hummus or cottage cheese. It really helped me at first as well. Another suggestion I have, is Peanut Butter. I got the low fat Jif creamy peanut butter. Now, I know it still has fat and sugar, but I would just take a teaspoon stick it in there and eat it right off the spoon. In fact I do this once a day. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's got lots of protein and it fills me up for a bit. Otherwise, I'm still hungry like you guys. But the peanut butter has helped! Best of luck.
  15. I'm having a tough time with the protein right now also. I've been doing it for over a month. I really like the kind I get through my surgeon, HMR 70, but it's too expensive. So I went to GNC this weekend, and the guy working there helped me pick out one, well got it home and it was disgusting. I guess I'll try ordering some Unjury. But I am just so sick of protein supplements!
  16. Weighed myself this morning and I am down 2.5 lbs since last Monday! WOO HOO! And this was after starting solid foods again!
  17. I went shopping over the weekend for some summer tops. I tried on the size I usually wear and they were all too big for me! I officially went down a size in shirts, heck even those were a little loose! I was thrilled!
  18. Hi Lisa! I'm so sorry I didn't reply to this sooner, but I don't really have internet access over the weekend. How did your weekend go for you? Any easier? Oh, and my name is Carrie!
  19. Don't stress about it! You'll be fine. if it does happen to you for one reason or another, it'll be over very quickly. But yes, remember to chow alot and don't take too big of a bite. You'll be fine. Remember, you can do this! And we're all in this together!
  20. lindsay, I have heard some people on here say they've gained during bandster hell, but that the next week or 2 it came off again. I stayed the same last week, but lost 2 pounds this week. I'm afraid to weigh myself Monday morning because I fear another stay the same or gain because I also am getting ready for "that time of the month" YIKES! But I guess we just have to keep in mind that if we do gain during this time it won't be long before we take it off again!
  21. Sorry for the delay in a response, didn't see this until now! It wasn't painful for me. Well at first, when it felt stuck it felt like I couldn't breathe. But then it came right up and then I felt fine. Go figure!
  22. I added myself as well, this is fun!
  23. :thumbdown::biggrin::laugh::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::tt2::biggrin::biggrin::Banane21::biggrin::Banane35::biggrin::Banane11::biggrin:
  24. I just recently learned what a pb was as well, in fact, had my first one on Monday. Anyway, it's a productive burp. Basically, when you eat something and you feel like you have to burp and the food comes back up with the burp. I got mine from eating tunafish too fast! I just have to remember to eat slowly and take small bites!
  25. Oh and refried beans are a HUGE help as well! Taste yummy and have lots of protein!
