  1. Where in the hell are the men? They both can't be busy getting their butters churned.
  2. Sounds fantastic...but my February is booked already. I'm not kidding. But you two go and have fun. I'm hard to schedule with this damn school stuff and a long distance GF.
  3. Hi Eden. I don't know what to say about throwing up with each fill. That's miserable. I'd take that to the main forum and see what all the banded people think. I'm sure you'll get some decent opinions. But welcome to the Marchie thread. Glad to have you!
  4. Oh Stacy! You have every reason to be pissed and upset with how this is playing out. It will get better. It will. You will see 155. You've done amazingly well. Perhaps you just need to stop working at this for a few weeks. We'll be here waiting for you. Promise. Oh and if you got me in the SS you're not off the hook. I still want my gift.
  5. D I can't remember, how many kids do you have?
  6. I'm feeling really good 8 months out. There are days where I want to eat like I used to for all the wrong reasons and the band pretty much saves me. There are plateaus where I can get discouraged, but they are par for the course. Usually when the scale stops moving I can find other victories like a smaller size or more stamina. Really, this is the best thing I've ever done for myself and I'd encourage anyone interested to do it too. It took me 14 months to get through the insurance difficulties and I'd do it again. Good Luck!
  7. Dem, jmc made some good points. It's not a race or a compitition. Don't worry about what someone else has done. You can only be concerned with yourself. Make small changes if big ones seem too much. Eat a few less Cookies, drink only calorie free beverages, walk a few steps more. If you can't see a shrink get a notebook and start writing down your thoughts, goals and setbacks. Sometimes getting out helps us get past what's blocking our progress. And most of all keep coming this board and looking around...keep a few toes in the game. Hugs.
  8. I am cooking for most of my family and misc. people I know who are too far away from family to travel for the holiday. About 10-15 people. Should make for a busy few days, but I'm excited.
  9. Well you gave the teller a story to share for the rest of the day. Always nice to add to someone's day.
  10. Jeni there's the bodybugg thread on here that can tell you how it works better than I can. BODYBUGG :: HOW IT WORKS http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f81/bodybugg-users-report-here-36232/#post488429 I know it keeps me motivated and makes me more accountable.
  11. I've got to thinking about myself as one who has a chronic illness, morbid obesity, and I need to follow models out there of how others deal with their chronic illnesses. It wasn't as depressing as it sounds when I had that aha moment, it actually gives me comfort that I'll be able to function normally but with some constraints, which is much better than being out of control. just sayin'
  12. ick -- on the sneeze.
  13. I'm going to be a brat....please do forgive me... Are you looking for an excuse to slow down and take a break and putting it on your husband? This occurs to me because I workout with a couple at work, and he hurt his ankle this weekend, so she was like Woo-Hoo, I have an excuse not to go. Just a thought. And if you want to slow down and take a break that's all well and good, but don't put that on your husband's ego. This journey has ebbs and flows. You may now throw rotten eggs at me.
  14. Hi everyone. Glad to see new names. I post a lot, and I'm 8 months out. If I can help with questions or encouragement let me know. Juli
  15. That would be called a PB or a productive burp. It's that food saying, "I'm coming up and out right now, and you can't stop me." Now you know
  16. Sc2va, just stick to your eating better and exercising more guns. Tell them you are counting calories and KNOW that stuff has way too many calories to be pigging out. Really, I think the more you bring it to others attention the more they will comment. Just get your plate of food, eat what you want and push stuff around, play with your food. If it's a full week be sure to have your staples with you. If it's yogurt for Breakfast bring it with you...you know what I mean? You'll be fine.
  17. I want an ass that looks like that, and the shorts...
  18. Wow sorry to hear about your nephew and your family's struggle. That's horrible.
  19. This would be okay too.
  20. $25 is my limit, but if who ever has me wants to spend more I'll send you a very nice thank you card! No, really, $25 is it. I'll be happy with bike related stuff, tools for my bag, a new flashing light, books on biking, cooking light magazine, sassy girlly stuff...you know compacts and girlly shit with sassy stuff written on it. Note cards are always fun too. A CD with a good playlist of workout tunes. Those are my thoughts right now.
  21. BG, Are you using a new lotion? Try one more new battery and see if you replaced the last one with a defective one. And horror of horrors, the bugg might be broken!
  22. Boo Boo, This is new territory for many of us, huh? I'd go to a good friend who's a looker (what a term!) and get her opinion. And ask her for host of retorts for when shit happens again. Those women know how to deflect this stuff much better than women who matured over weight. As for the professor, you could say if it happens again, "You're not being inappropriate again, are you?" It would put him on the defensive....as for now, do write it down and save the complaints for later if he goes further. yuck.
  23. I assumed that restriction would be the key, finding that sweet spot and the pounds would melt right off. I have okay restriction and it works when I eat meat first stay away from soft foods, but the same mechanism in my head that lead me to be 300+ pounds allows me to eat more soft foods than I should. The congnative and behavorial parts that I contribute to this weight loss process are larger than I assumed they would be when I started. I thought getting the band would be like "set it and forget it!" It so is not like that!
  24. So People in SS What would be good gift giving ideas? Anyone, anyone? My birthstone is a diamond.
