  1. Yo Julie, You're looking amazing. Thanks for all the inspiration.
  2. yeah, the end of what you find on a pencil. However, as I'm eating that's a little smaller than I really go. My cube is smaller than a piece of bubble gum but bigger than a cranberry. Yeah, food will be cold....could be worse.
  3. Could it be something else going on that you are atributing to the band? And yes, I've been super sad on days because of the how my life has changed. Food's role has changed for me and most of the time I see that as a good thing but there are days when I miss the comfort it could offer. The sadness will pass. Try to think of positive things that have changed for you. And see if there is something deeper going on that's making you sad too.
  4. Think pencil eraser.
  5. HP you look AWESOME!!!! Congrats on your award. Good job all around!
  6. HP You are too kind to notice my one pound in 3 weeks. Holy cow, I wish it would move faster. I second BG's request for pictures!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be taking my 9 mo pictures next weekend. I so want to be at 213 so I can say I've lost 100 pounds in '07!
  7. Hi my people. I'm so stoked. I just learned that I will be off from school for SIX weeks! I start my MBA program in January, but the first session is only 3 weeks long so it starts at the end of the month, not at the beginning like I assumed. I've not been out of school more than 2 weeks at one time since I started back in January 2005!!!!!!!!!! This is going to be so sweet! Oh, and yesterday's fill went well. I've got some serious restriction, but I can eat if I'm careful. So let's hope this knocks off some weight! Happy Weekend, J
  8. I've always been a list maker. Now I make one for cleaning little things, like organizing colsets, drawers and cabinets in the house. If I have a few minutes of bordom it's something small and productive. I work full time and am in school full time so there is nearly always something to do. Also I scrapbook. I've been straightening up my SB room so during the break from school I can attempt to get caught up! YIKES. Crafting and cleaning are two great options. As for exercise that's like sleeping and brushing my teeth. It's something I do automatically now, so I don't count it!
  9. Dorr, Again not to hijack the thread, but your plan is a good one. I too know I can drop crazy weight without the band, but I also know I can gain it all back with interest if I don't do something different than I've done in the past. I fell that's really where having the band will be used. Mind you having it to lose is easier/better than doing it without... I'm just saying. As for the Atkin/South Beach, I'm not a fan of not eating fruits and veggies, so I'm more of a South Beacher...but I feel we all need to do what is best for us. This is such an individual journey.
  10. SpecialK The 6 months seem daunting and I cried when I was told I needed to do it. I pouted and stomped my foot too. But if it is required of you try to find the blessing in it. You can take the time to better understand why you eat the way you do and prepare to say goodbye to food as it used to be. Or something like that...:girl_hug: I certainly resented the classes, but they ended and eventually I got the surgery and it all happened in good time. Glad to see your appointments went well. J
  11. HP, You're going to knock 'em out! What are you wearing? I'm sure you're going to be a hottie. J
  12. I say put them in the mail by the 17th? Anyone else have an opinion?
  13. I'm not tulip, but 6 weeks is the answer to your how soon question.
  14. I drink wine. Not a lot or often, but it's part of the universe. Kind of like chocolate. I eat a little of that too here and there as well. The idea is to be able to function healthily around food and drink for a lifetime. If there are times you want to have a glass of wine, have it and enjoy it. Binge drinking much like binge eating doesn't have a place in a healthy person's life.
  15. My fill went fine. I had my surgeon's partner do it and he got me pretty quickly under fluoro but commented on how it's challeneging. Anyway, I'm tight. I got down some applesauce, like half 1/4 of a cup. It's been a long times since that little amount of food made any kind of difference. We'll see what happens. D and HP, You two are inspiring! Keep up the good work!
  16. I'm a fan of the boy shorts.
  17. I'm eating so poorly today.........ffs, I'll get myself together soon.
  18. Hi gang. Can't wait to get my fill tomorrow...I have to go the hospital, and that sucks, the parking etc. But I'm happy to get it done under floro since my port basically faces the floor now.
  19. Mrs H. Good to know you dd is going to be fine. Silly DH. Are you a soda drinker still? I miss rum and diet cokes...I've become a wine drinker. Happy Wednesday
  20. JC hehe, I at least know what Geocache means and yes, that gives you the Uber Geek Dork Nerd Master title. B Starbucks can be done, but you've got to be a pain in the ass and order non-fat milk, sugar free syrups...I can go on about the social implications of Starbuck Speak, but I'll spare you. Still unless you are drinking coffee or espresso black it's not guilt free. I personally find the BB more annoying than helpful. It really turned for me when their rep told me that all nutrition labels lie. I'm like WTF is the point of keeping track. I need to not let some person towing the company line (blame something not the BB for a person's failure) mess with what I know to be te trurth. That is that essentially nutrition labels are acurate and it's a person's honesty that messes up the equation. Also, I'm pretty sure my metabolism is jacked up, because I don't lose a pound for every 3500 saved. I just don't. I'm getting back to basics and trying to go super low calorie here after my fill to see how that works. Love you guys. "Form of a diva; shape of Mariah Carey."
  21. Thanks BG, I'd be happy with a two pound loss so I could say it's an even 100# for 2007. I'm working on getting my head out of my ass about eating crap. Today's perspective (I've been up for all of 2 hours) is better than the last couple of weeks. Yesterday I was writing on LBT on some thread about being comitted to losing...and I thought I needed to pay attention to my own words. I hope to keep the focus clear for a while. Happy Wednesday.
  22. Wonder Twin Power Activate. Wonder Twins - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Super Friends. I'm a dork of the highest order. TX, I love how you add the video. Awesome.
  23. BG YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONDERLAND IS FANTASTIC! You did it you did it you did it!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Chicken is when you're scared to do something. Like how I feel when it's on my plate and I'm supposed to eat it.
  25. "Baklava...." drooly like Homer Simpson....I love Baklava. Wonder Bitch Power, Activate. If the close to 40's don't get that reference I'll cringe.
