  1. I always wanted a motorcycle. I even learned to drive one, but I'm too much a chicken. Very cool. I think this thread needed a boost of testosterone, with the vagina dialogs happening.
  2. Jachut gave sound advice. Slowly transition back to solids. You've been sick. I hope you get to feeling better soon. That's simply no fun at all.
  3. BBK and you other bright people, You are on the money, but I think it could be said that there are banded people who post on here as if they were gods and people should do as they do. Those are the folks that need a good tongue lashing, and need to be told to stop dispensing unsound advice as much as silly people are being told to stop heeding it. But again, it's a public forum so if person A says, "I'm unable to breath, I'm turning a slight shade of blue, should I get a slight unfill? I like to be tight and don't want to bother my surgeon." And person B answers, "I turned blue 4 times since banding 4 months ago. It always goes away and I lose 5 pounds a week. I think turning blue is the best way to lose weight. Other people will tell you I'm wrong, but they are just jealous." Both A and B get what they deserve and no public service annoucements are going to make either one wisen up. I'm just saying...
  4. Very Sweet W. Very sweet.
  5. As a nearly 40 year old who is in college let me say this, GET YOUR BACHALORS DEGREE NOW! Don't think you'll go back it is really really hard. Much harder than learning some technical terms. Money becomes an issue, time becomes an issue...it is harder than you can imagine. So, if what you are doing at the 4 year place isn't compelling, look at a different major. How about a straight up art degree? If you think no to that because you won't make money, then becoming a preschool teacher isn't going to get you paid either. Don't, don't, don't do the community college thing if you are already in a 4 year school. Com College is a fantastic solution when 4 year college isn't a choice, but girl, it is a step back from where you are. Hope that isn't to harsh. It is my old lady experience speaking. If you were my niece I'd tell you the same thing.
  6. I have one on my upper arm, very close to my shoulder. It's not changing. I have one on my hip that is small and will be removed with a my tummy tuck, lower body lift. But I'm going to guess that because you are young and you are just at 100 pounds to lose you might do fairly well with your tat not getting messed up...what's your shape? Are you an apple, pear or hour glass? I suppose what I'm asking is where do you carry your weight? Maybe someone can tell you more..
  7. C Remember that feeling looking at your reflection...before you know it, you'll see yourself again, and go damn, that's me! And please take some pictures of yourself before Thursday. Get in a swim suit or shorts and a tank top. Have your husband take them. You'll hate it, but you'll be happy to have them later. Promise!!! :cursing:
  8. JC It's the Rants and Raves forum. It's a bitch fest most days. I only hit it every once in a while. C We got geared up to ride today, even met the folks but it started misting on the way there. Alison and I decided not to go, but the three others decided to ride. It started to really rain when we were about a mile away. I don't know what they ultimately did... I can ride cold, but not cold and wet. NO way! Glad you had a good weekend with your friends.
  9. She's a mess, really. Whatcha gonna do???
  10. dez, Great pic! Sounds like a great time!!!
  11. Hi Whisper Lightly. Nice to meet you. Welcome!!!
  12. I had a fun weekend. I got some riding in and some happy time with the GF, also I got some work done around the house. All I got to say is YIPPY!!! I did go to R&R.
  13. Nothing like an obese fatphobe. Nothing like a little self loathing to make you want to lash out at people who are JUST LIKE YOU. I've got big ol' rolls that get sweaty and smelly, just like you. Wanna see?
  14. I'll go take a peek. I just got back on the line.
  15. The before and after pictures, I could have done without...why did I hit the link???? Rode 25 miles today. The temp was about 50 with some serious wind. Yeah, though!!!
  16. JANINE!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you're lurking! You're one of us! I'm pleased to see you are pursuing getting rebanded. I think your doctor is wise to let you heal longer before rebanding you. Caution is a good thing. Much love, Juli
  17. That's funny! I respond to every variation of Juli/Julianna but Jules. That's my Susan. Jay, Juicy (one smart ass calls me that, but I call her Naners), Jewel, Ju-Ju, I'll accept. But not Jules. My sister is Suzanna and went by Zsa-Zsa, growing up. We're Hungarian and that's the same as Suzi. My other sister is Ilona, and went by Li-Li. I didn't get the cutesie name. I got Jay. My brother got Bee. I resent that, I'm just saying.
  18. Caffiene can irritate the stomach and your hence your band. When I'm tight I don't drink coffee, just because it's like adding fuel to the fire. When I'm not super tight I drink caffiene daily. Two shots of espresso a day makes me a nicer person. One drink in the morning. Mind you it's a 20 ounce drink, but I don't nurse coffee all day. IMHO, this is an area where you can make a deal with yourself. While recovering from surgery or when you're really tight stay away from it, but otherwise, if it impacts the quaility of your life, (it does me) work some in. HTH.
  19. I've posted this before so I'll be brief. I've PB shoulder to shoulder with a stranger on a crowded flight. That was nice.
  20. I feel you. I'm really Julianna. Two "N's". Don't get me started on my last name! Ugh. So if I met you, you'd be Suzanne? not Suzzie? I don't know that I could adjust at this point in time....

  22. You are now CD! Fantatic! The gears are different from the past but I really like them. I have to say, I just really like my bike. I never thought I'd get emotional about a non living thing, but I am. I've got two rides planned this weekend with my group. I'm hoping we don't get chilled out of them. Should be around 20 miles both days. Oh, TX I ordered aerobars and they came in, I've just not been able to get to the shop to have them put on. I'm hoping do that this week. (I need silver, not black, so it would match.) XO
  23. Hello my people. I didn't even think to put anything but my city and town on my ID. BTW, TX, they make medical ID charms you can add to a charm bracelet. However if you have more than a few issues I don't think they can get all the text on it! I'm not sure what a new rack costs but I'm probably going to be in the market for some too which is uber ironic because I had a breast reduction 5 years ago. But as I get smaller they are simply disappearing. My breasts are now smaller than my girlfriend's. That has never ever happened before in my life, and I've had a few girlfriends, most of whom would be called chesty. NSV? I'd say so. ZZ, You are so funny! I bet you keep people in stitches all the time! BG, The snow, the freaking mother effin' snow! What gives? Apparently is was snowing in Kalamzoo last night. That's just not okay. Ceradad, Cool ride. I have a Giant and love her. Welcome to the Bycyling thread. You will need to get abreveated to a one or two letter name. We have a C, so give us some choices. Happy Friday!
