  1. Oh, and BTW, Yesterday I had a killer workout. I ran for the first time since the 5K, which is a solid 3 weeks. I sprinted even for the last two minutes. My calves were on fire when I got off the treadmill, but all I could think is that I'm going to kick some hills this season on my bike! I kept on and did my serious cross fit strength training for the day too. All of it with added decline bench abs! Did I tell you I jump rope? I do that between sets to keep my heart rate up. I jump around 300 times! I want to get that up to a solid 10 minutes. Okay, seems like the exercise blues and winter blahs are lifting!!!! And this is from a girl with a owey butt! Woo hoo, come on SPRING!
  2. I'm going to be in MI on Friday too, thanks for the weather update. That means I get to ride... I'm singing that like RI-eyed. I get to RI-eyed! My new sunglasses came yesterday, with two jerseys....I heart Women's Sunglasses (Bargain Barn) at Sierra Trading Post - Save 35-70% on Famous Name Brands very much. Now if my ass would stop hurting! I pulled something when shoveling snow on Saturday. It was getting better but then this morning when I got out of the car I had shooting pain again! Ouch mother effer!
  3. I think someone is pouting! I take it back!
  4. Does whiney cheese ooze like ripe Brie when it's cut?
  5. Recumbant is I believe the first bike you described. The seats have backs on them and your legs on the pedals go forward, not down. Hope that helps. Howdy, BTW.
  6. Oh, hell he's dropping his H's. BTW, Thanks for calling me drool worthy.
  7. Hippie chick! YeeHaw! You are banded and on the mend! It's fantastic to see you up and about. Thanks for checking in!
  8. Too bad the weather is stinky I'd say bring your bike, but I expect you are flying...and the point is moot. Licking County gets many jokes tossed its way....
  9. Gwen, You look great! And Green is very much your color! Great pics! Mrs H. Post your pictures, girl! Come on!
  10. OH, it was W, not B...the message is the same. Snow = Cool....sorry
  11. DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD I'm so happy to see you peek in your head! Miss you! TX, I getcha, courage is hard to mustard (is that right or is it mustar) when you are big. I want to applaud that woman too. Rock on chicas! B, The snow was amazing and cool, really. Yesterday we got out and today wasn't bad getting to work. If it's going to drop 20inches, Saturday's the best day of the week for it! A co-worker built an igloo. Of course he's the masonry teacher! How cool is that?! XO
  12. HP, Thanks for the compliment. And you go girl! Out there riding with your clipless pedals! I like BG, am scared to do it, but I will! My hope is Tuesday....we still have 10 of the 20 inches of snow to melt tomorrow. It will be a mud fest on Tuesday, but I'm gonna ride. I've just got to. TX, I was the girl with the biggest rear last year! The GF was riding way behind me on a ride when I passed two young women cyclists who had stopped. I guess they were still voiceing their surprise at me when Alison rode past...Bless the fat bottom girls...we do make the rockin world go round!!!
  13. I'll be cycling this weekend regardless. I'll put chains on my tires if I must!
  14. Hunter, take it easy...you are too soon from surgery to being doing that kind of labor, buddy. Carol, Minutes???? That implies there's an agenda and rules of discussion to follow! Oh my goodness!
  15. Euchre is a sweet game, I agree! Isn't it weird not being one of the biggest people in the room? I still look though to check. I wonder if that will ever stop...
  16. For pity's sake, you are not bad people and it's hardly a huge deal. Yesterday I looked at my stats and got upset that I had only lost 28 pounds in the last 6 months. Then a while later I thought that's 28 pounds I'll never see again and it is better than a pound a week, so get over it. But it does hightlight the point that I could be doing more and better...oh come on spring! Do normal sized people fight weight issues more in the winter too? At anyrate, thanks for the shout outs.
  17. I posted before and after pics in that forum. You all have seen it before, but I thought I'd let you know. XO
  18. I posted this on the pic forum, but I thought I'd share here too. The first ones are the night before surgery, I was 290. The others were done yesterday/today. My highest known weight is 338. I need to find a pic of me at that weight I'm willing to show.
  19. Polaris is up in the air. I just don't know. I have homework to do, but it might make a good distraction, a way to get out of the house for me and Zoe. I asked a neighbor for a playdate but haven't heard back. If they say yes, then no, we'll not go to Polaris... I hate to be noncommital, but I really don't know right now. I will be signing up for TOSRV tomorrow!
  20. Stef I'm a facebook user, a bad one at that. I know BG is on myspace.
  21. Hi Too, Heather covered Fresh Start with Dr. Myers, I had Dr. Mikami at OSU. I didn't have insurance issues, I knew I was covered before I started at OSU, so that wasn't a concern for me. Dr. Mikami talks about the statistics and about your commitment to the process. Because with lapbanding it's the individual's ability to do the right thing that is the largest factor in their overall success. As I see it, GB is the right choice for someone who needs to get the weight off quickly for medical reasons, for people who can't exercise at all until they get a substantial amount off, or for people who would rather give over control to the surgeon instead of giving dieting (though it's not really a diet, but you need to be uber mindful of what you eat) one last time. It is easy to not lose weight with the lapband if you don't have your priorities aligned. But it's a beautiful thing to lose weight with the band when you do. PM me if you want to talk more in depth. Juli
  22. We need new pictures! I'm going to do some before and afters today, considering it IS my anniversary! I just need to see if the 6 year old kiddo can take them for me. It's always a crap shoot with her and the camera. And my friend who usually takes them for me is refusing to dig out her car from the 14 inches of snow we got, just to capture me today. Worse case scenario, I'll get them done on Monday. Denise, 91 pounds is fantastic! I'm at the same since surgery!
  23. This is a snow on a table on my deck. It looks hazy because the snow is continuing to fall. Yeah Happy March Blizzard!
  24. I cut my hair today. Tomorrow is my one year anniversary. I feel pretty.
  25. WTG HP! Can't wait to see all the pics! That is if you break out the camera again this season! The weather is supposed to be horrendous this weekend. I'm staying in, cleaning house and making soups. I want spring!
