  1. Oh my goodness! You guys have been busy! LJM-I loved your response in that thread, but you know that they were not listening. Beth-Your response was so over the top hilarious.
  2. I had my first morning of liquids. Why does protein powder have to stink? The shake I made didn't taste bad at all. I just had to remember not to inhale the smell before taking a swallow. Good luck everyone!
  3. PJTP-Why does the protein in protein powder have to smell so bad? Ugg. It is so hard to drink something that stinks so bad.
  4. If it is still going on tomorrow, contact your doctor for a prescription for phenegren or something similar to stop the vomiting. You also might need a slight unfill if you have fluid in your band to help with swelling and keeping liquids down. I hope that you feel better soon.
  5. You started your rebirth on my birthday. That was the day I decided something had to give. I am so happy for you. Keep up the awesome work!
  6. Thanks. I bought some Protein powder and several flavors of sf pudding mix. I am going to experiment.
  7. luluc-When you add sf pudding mix to your protein drinks, how much of it are you able to put in before it gets too thick to drink?
  8. I'm in. I am sick and tired of not losing the way I want to. Don't get me wrong, I am happy that I am losing. I just know that I could be doing so much better. I am going to get my unflavored protein after work. Which unflavored protein powder is REALLY unflavored?
  9. :tongue_smilie::lol:That is so me!
  10. Tap-I am so sorry to hear about the tree. I can also understand your agitation. They want you to be in a hurry when it is time to make the insurance payments, but when it is time for you to need something from the insurance companies...it can be like pulling teeth. I hope that the adjuster shows up soon, and that you don't have further damage because of water and ice.
  11. :crying:I am ready to commit myself at this point. Passing the restaurant yesterday crying almost did me in. :unsure:I could not believe I was crying because of that. I am glad I am not alone, but I sure wish it would go away.
  12. Congrats to you! It is an exciting and scary time. You will do fine.
  13. PJTP-I am on day 6 of 9 days straight at work plus being on call. I am so tired. My only bright spot has been coming on here and trying to catch up on everything. I have a stupid question, how long did it take for your hormonal/emotional overload to level out when you started losing weight? I am feeling like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I skipped breakfast (not on purpose) yesterday and then was really late trying to get lunch. The place I wanted to go was crowded and I actually started to cry because I was hungry! WTF? I am losing what is left of my little mind.
  14. This was my third fill. This was supposed to be the one to make me feel it. Ha! I feel like I am still able to eat too much. I actually feel less restriction now than I did before the fill. I am trying to pay attention to that full/satisfied feeling, but it doesn't come until I have eaten more than what I think I should. I am so sorry that you are hurt. I must have missed your post telling about what happened. I hope that you are better soon.
  15. Me too! I have yet to feel any real restriction. I was hoping that this last fill 2 weeks ago would kick in, but so far nothing!:hurray:
  16. First bite syndrome is when you take a larger first bite than your stoma can handle. When you have good restriction, your bites should be about the size of a pencil eraser (according to my doc, but they all differ). First bite syndrome ususally happens when you have let yourself get too hungry or eating mindlessly. The only thing to help it is to always to stop and think before you get that first bite of food swallowed.
  17. Smart girl. I didn't know that they made those.:tongue2:
  18. What a onederful Christmas present!
  19. Try some warm tea or something similar before dinner time to help relax your stomach. I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. Merry Christmas!
  20. Merry Christmas eve!
  21. I hadn't thought of it that way. Thanks for adding a positive spin on it. That is awesome. Back at you! I just have to add that I agree with those of you about adoption. I think that is the most wonderful gift. Anyone who would treat an adopted child as anything other than a gift should be slapped. Now back to the regularly scheduled holiday merriment!
  22. Sorry, his ex just chaps my cheeks. She won't let us see her when DH asks, but when she is ready for us to have her we are supposed to drop everything. DH just does it which makes it worse. How do you call someone TODAY to say that she is staying TODAY? WTH?
  23. PJTP-Hello everyone! You all have been very busy today. There is now way I can touch on everything. EbonyRose-congrats on the new pants size. Diva-I see you changed your name back. Where have you been hiding? My DH's ex decided today that we can finally see his daughter. Wasn't it just nice of her to decide that she would come and spend the night tonight? Also, wasn't it just so nice of him to actually discuss it with me before he actually said yes? Anyone else notice the extreme sarcasm dripping from my words?
  24. Man I need a pot of coffee this morning. 5 came a little TOO early today.
