  1. My hubby said the same thing to me. He asked me if I was going to leave him for a younger model. I just laughed. He is being so ridiculous.
  2. He is def not conservative. Probably more protective than anything. It is just weird to see this side of him.
  3. Don't be sorry. I didn't take any offense to it at all.
  4. I love that they taste so good, it almost feels like cheating. LOL I recently had chunky PB & sugar free grape jelly on a 1/2 whole wheat pita, and I was in heaven. I was a huge PBJ fan before surgery. Maybe I shouldn't have done it because now I want to eat it everyday for lunch. If you had 2 Yasso bars, good for you. There are days when I say I am going to do it, but I am too full to try. No judgement here.
  5. Good point, I guess I am normal now, not skinny. Skinny to him though. That is a great idea to ask him what he wants to see me in now. I was very shy before being overweight, and never wore anything like lingerie. Maybe now, we can both benefit from it. LOL Thank you for the idea.
  6. I just tried one for lunch today. I tried the chicken, basil one and it was good. I am close to 6 months post op.
  7. My shoe size has also changed from a 10WW to a 9W. Even though I lost so much weight, my feet are always a problem due to neuropathy. Dressing in layers is something I never had to do before, I was always hot before. I can do housework now. I couldn't even vacuum before. My bum is completely gone, and it hurts when I sit down even after 10 minutes or so. The really weird thing is that my freckles have come back. I used to only get them in the summer. It is dead winter here, and they are all over my face. I used to drink ice cold water, and now can only drink room temp. The biggest one for me is that I can walk without a cane. No longer have to use a wheelchair to get around. I am sure there are lots more....it is a journey.
  8. I was "uncomfortable", but not really in pain. I can tolerate a lot of pain. I refused to take pain meds, even during my 2 days in the hospital. I don't do good on meds, and don't like the way they make me feel.
  9. I was just barley getting 400. I had a very rough start. My protein was severely lacking. I wasn't able to reach the goal until my 4th to 5th month.
  10. Right now the only carbs I get is from apples mostly. I don't drink alcohol so I don't have to worry about that. Even though I don't drink, we were told that we couldn't after surgery. Everyone's plans are so different. What they were told from their docs is very different.
  11. Where did you get that shirt? I want one in my bday year.
  12. Sorry to hear that. I had a really bad recovery in the 1st month. I literally couldn't eat or drink anything without being sick. I ended up in the hospital because of dehydration. Had to have nausea patches behind my ears. I never thought it would end. Could be why I can't/won't try a lot of things. Even after I could start to eat a little more, I basically stick to the same things.

Thank you, even though I was a lot heavier, for some reason I never had a problem with my calf's. I always had skinnier legs, I was very top heavy.
  14. Were you heavy when you first met? I was chubby, and hubby has indicated he likes me like that. He said he doesn't like skinny women. Well guess what, now I am skinny. Does that mean he doesn't like me? Attracted to me anymore? I asked him last night, and he didn't want to talk much about it. When I brought up the shorts, and halter comment, he just groaned.
  15. What flavor do you like the best? I love the black raspberry, and choc chip.
  16. Ya maybe, but he should know me after 25 yrs. I would never wear stuff like that.
  17. I remember my mom wearing something like this back in the 70's.
  18. I love that outfit, my hubby would probably have a heart attack if I wore something like that.
  19. LOL yes he is a child of the 70's! He has not mentioned a bathing suit yet.
  20. We had a little bit of a convo last night, but he seemed like he didn't really want to talk about it. I just let it go.
  21. I agree with you on that. There should be some kind of support for the spouses.
  22. I started buying the "hand warmers" that you just shake them to activate. I put them in my socks to keep my feet/toes warm. That is the coldest part of my body. I usually wear long johns, sweats, cami, sweatshirt, 2 pairs of socks, and sometimes even have to put my bathrobe on over it. I am still cold after all that. It is awful.
