  1. I really like the expression, "Blowing out someone else's candle won't make yours shine any brighter." I find it's applicable to many situations in life. Usually the insecure who put others down to feel better about themselves, especially women to other women. I try to surround myself with people who lift each other up.
  2. I'd go for the filet mignon w/ veggies instead of the potato. Chew it really well so it doesn't try to come back up! LOL!!
  3. Congratulations!!! That is a huge milestone!!! I agree with weight loss becoming more noticeable in 5lb increments as you get smaller. I'm noticing it with clothing sizes too! CONGRATS again!!!!!
  4. Congratulations!!!!!!! Woot Woot!!!!!
  5. Congratulations!!! Welcome to the rest of your life!!
  6. Another fun condiment - Wasabi Sauce. I initially got it for ahi tuna, but now I put it on everything!
  7. I’ve never been to Aldi. Looks like I need to check it out!! There’s one a couple towns over that I will hit this weekend!
  8. I'm in!! Maybe we can grab a few other BPers and start our own girl group! I specialize in late 80s-early 90s rap!
  9. I gotta get to TJs and get those chicken burgers!
  10. I love most flavors of Greek yogurt, but my absolute fave is this Caramel Apple Pie yogurt. Has chunks of baked apple in it and it really hits the spot!!
  11. Just crack an egg. I could prepare the ingredients myself but this is great for when I’m lazy. I use an egg white instead of a whole egg.
  12. Thought it might be fun to get some recommendations for new grocery items to add to my shopping list. Spices, grab n go items, anything really. I’ll add a couple of my new faves below!
  13. Get out of my brain!!! LOL!! I'll add one other thing: I've always wanted to be a great singer (My voice is horrible, but man, I've got the moves!)
  14. I can't wait for my boob job!! I was a 34D until I was 30 or so, and then as I put on weight, had kids, etc, they became ginormous. I'm down to a 36DD so far, with 16lbs to go until goal. I would love to be a perky full C or small D. Even without WLS, I would have wanted my boobs done. Pretty much everyone in my social circle has had a lift or BA by age 40, so I need to catch up! LOL!!
  15. @Darktowerdream I love reading your updates!! It sounds like you have your wound care routine down pat, I'm impressed! I can only imagine how fabulous you look in your new romper! When you finally wear it, please post a pic!! Thanks also for the info on Stage 2 fajas! I still have a lot to learn about the various post-surgical garments. Hope your healing continues to go well!
  16. Congratulations!!! You look absolutely radiant!!!!
  17. Woo Hoo!!! You are doing great, and sound like a fab husband too!!! Best of luck to you both!!!
  18. Fairlife Core Power Strawberry Banana (14 oz!!! For some reason the 11.5 oz isn't as delicious)
  19. You are doing great!! Baby sips for now, and just keep sipping throughout the day. Right now your body is still healing, so no need to worry about anything else right now!! GOOD LUCK, and welcome to the rest of your life!!!!!!!!!
  20. A fun thread! No matter where you are in your weight loss journey, what are some of the things you WON'T miss about being fat? I won't miss: Wearing black stretch pants every day b/c they were the only thing that fit. Avoiding social situations (high school reunions, etc!) where I might run into people that didn't know I was fat. Chub Rub! (even though it's my BP name!) Hiding from cameras, and worrying about others posting pics of me on FB. Worrying if I would fit in the airplane seat. Crying in the shower. Going to back to school night and watching all the skinny moms sitting at their kids desks and looking perfectly comfortable, while I tried to squeeze one butt cheek on the chair. I'm sure I will think of some more, but here is my starter list for now!!!
  21. Hang in there!!! You can do this!!!
  22. One year after hitting goal, not one year from surgery. You may not feel it right now, but you have great skin, and it may surprise you!! Good luck!!
  23. I am I evil if I would enjoy my husband putting on 20lbs, so I would be smaller next to him? LOL!!! Fortunately, I don't outweigh him anymore, so I guess I'll let him stay as is!
  24. The good news is that you are 18. You still have GREAT skin!!! I would not be surprised that after maintaining your goal weight for 1 years, you don't even need surgery. Take measurements, and check your progress!!! I might have $$ for plastic surgery but it's only b/c I'm older which means I have the old lady skin that goes with it. I'd rather be young and broke!! LOL!!! Seriously, I think you will be fine!!
