  1. Been eating sushi since about 8 weeks post op. Can only have 3 pieces. The rice is a huge filler so I dont eat rice that often.
  2. My period started 2 days after surgery and it was 2 weeks early. I had another period 2 weeks after that. My periods are back to normal 3 months post op. Hang in there. You're system is temporarily out of whack.
  3. I usually get 500 to 800 calories a day as well. My 3 month post op visit is Monday. I'm down 50 pounds since surgery. Some dietitians focus more on the calorie intake. Mine focuses more on Protein and Water intake. I'm sure I'll eventually be able to eat 1200 calories a day. But right now, I'm just not ready to try and eat more food or eat more than 3 meals. I guess they all have different training and differences of opinions.
  4. It is head games. Don't beat yourself up. You're doing great!! Stick with the program and it will come off. Try not to weigh yourself everyday.
  5. My dr said as soon as I feel ready
  6. So happy you're back home miss Emma! Hadn't heard from you in over a week. Such a hard journey but hopefully its behind you and round 2 will go much smoother.
  7. @Emma809 are you ok? Just checking on you. Haven't had any updates in a while. I hope you are home and doing better.
  8. Following. I'm about 3 weeks behind u.
  9. If I come under my protien goal, I'll have some peanut butter just to add some more. It doesnt seem to bother me but I try to limit myself to 1 teaspoon since it has so many dang calories.
  10. We use our air fryer frequently. We just made garlic roasted cauliflower in it. Hubby uses it to make chicken wings all the time. We have made home made onion rings, okra, and squash as well. Tip! Use olive or avacado oil pump spray and lightly spray the food to get that crispness. Dont use the aerosol cans. They tend to gunk up and ruin your air fryer.
  11. Maybe 4 weeks was just too early to test for you. With my last pregnancy, I didn't start getting positives until 6 weeks pregnant. Best of luck for a healthy and happy pregnancy.
  12. Thats looking great!!! Healing very nicely.
  13. If u only eat 400 to 600 hundred calories a day of nothing but protein, I dont forsee your end of day carbs of 22 grams really causing an issue.
  14. Quest protein bars. Low sugar, low carbs. 20 grams of protein
  15. Yes. It is an amazing feeling. I initially picked my goal weight to be 170. I'm in new territory here so once I hit 170, I'll see where I stand. I didn't think 170 was obtainable for me but the more I lose, the more convinced I am that I can do this. Congrats on making it out of the 300s!!! No small victory there!!!
  16. You'll do great. You got this!
  17. Curious as well. Using lotion with retinol or q10 in it. Also using dr gross face peels.
  18. It was about 5 days for me too. Walk walk walk.
  19. That's a tough one. I have plenty of people I love who are obese. They have been obese as far back as I remember. I love them for who they are. They are not their waist sizes; they are not ranked by importance on the weigh scale; they are not loved for what they put in their mouth. I love them for who they are and being fat is something they wear no different than the clothes they put on. I've been big my whole life. I had to change me for me and only me. If anybody would have tried to intervene and told me I needed to lose weight, I wouldn't have taken it well. It's a difficult subject to talk about with people. And most of us were taught we come in all shapes, colors, and sizes and to be accepting of those differences. Be cautious always looking back because it's hard to enjoy what's in front of you.
  20. My doctor said 3 months post op I'll be released to all foods including salad
  21. Good deal. Congrats on surgery
  22. Mine started in week 3 and lasted for 2 weeks. It was concerning then but it is coming off regularly now. Just stick to the plan. It will come off.
  23. I'm sorry. The beginning of this journey has been so difficult. I know you're ready. Try to focus on the fact your body is healing and you've come along way. You're almost there. You are so strong.
