I went cross country skiing this weekend. It was magical! The first picture is day one, gorgeous weather, the second is day two, colder, windier, and soggy. It was still gorgeous. I think I have a new hobby!
The last picture is today’s work outfit. I tried to channel my inner Sophie with the fashionable flats. Alas, no sparkle, though 😢

A binge does not define you as a "terrible person." ((hugs))
Instead, use it as a teachable/learning moment. Instead of beating yourself up and feeling x,y,z, consider it an experiment. See what you can change up to create a new behavior or end an unhealthy one!
Look at it objectively (the event):
    1. What can you learn from the event?
    2. What were you feeling at the time?
    3. What were you thinking at the time?
    4. What was "running in the background" (i.e. thoughts, tv, radio, mood, atmosphere, did it remind you of a previous time good or bad)?
    5. What are actionable baby steps you can do to prevent this recurrence? (i.e. get crap out of your house or put it where you can't easily see it or get to it or have to live with it, set an action plan that might include: exercise/walking, calling a friend, coming to the forum and chatting, focusing on a hobby or crafting project, playing cards, drink Water, deep breathe (4 square breathing), meditate, yoga, pray, watch a comedy, hug someone you love, stand in front of the mirror and physically tell yourself why you are proud of your accomplishments.)
    6. Pose in front of the mirror in your favorite super hero pose. Do it daily.
    7. Journal the event and all the details. Start tracking event free days. Put a star or a sticker for every event free day.
  6. Congrats!

I am 10 days Post-OP from a sleeve and I have little hunger. I am more thirsty than hungry most days. I do have some head hunger, but nothing like before surgery.

Same here. My surgeon pumped some air into my sleeve to check for leaks before closing me up. I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't sip Water right after surgery as my mouth was soooo dry.
    Keep sippin' n walkin' everyone.

when i had my band place in 2009 my husband did everything in his power to stop me. You see he had absolute control over me. He controlled me, money, the house, everything.... I had zero self-esteem and self-worth. For years he told me that no other man would want me because i was fat.... Well i finally stood up for myself and did the band anyway. I was 232lbs and 5'2".... and at the end of 2 years i was at my best weight 143lbs. He hated the weight loss. He accused me of sleeping with everyone. Anyway, i also had a TT in 2012... and boy did he hate that even more.... Over the years i realized that i was stronger than i gave myself credit for. and in Jan 2016 i told him that if things didn't change i was filing for divorce in July he moved out. He tried everything to convince me to change my mind..but in January 2017 i filed, i lost the band a few months later.... but it didn't matter... even if i had gained every lb back i was still going to be happier.
Don't let anyone control you like I did.... i was married to him for 26 years.... Now i'm the happiest i have ever been. My kids asked... what too me so long.

I started in July 2019 with diet & exercise. My weight then was 427 lbs. I couldn't stand for more than 10 minutes before my ankles and legs started hurting. My right hip was also in almost constant pain. My doctor wanted me to lose enough weight before surgery to get my BMI down to 50. I started tracking calories and exercising 4 to 5 days a week for 30 minutes. Once I started losing weight everything started to feel better. I had my surgery on January 16 and as of today I have lost 103 lbs, 80 prior to surgery, 11 lbs during one week liquid pre-op diet and now 12 lbs one week after surgery. My pain is 1000% better. I started with Water aerobics and after a month of that moved to doing recumbent bike, then onto elliptical trainer. Start slow doing what you can and try to increase every week. As you get in better shape and lose weight it will get even better.

    2. I went hiking for the first time since my surgery on a Mountain I have hiked a few times before. This isn’t a huge climb, but has about 2000ft of elevation gain over about 2 miles with a few very steep sections. In the past this mountain has wooped my butt and taken me about 2 hours to reach the top of. I am usually soaked from sweat by the time I reach the top due to the effort of dragging my big butt up there. It also has always left me soar for days afterward due to the weight putting pressure on my joints when coming back down. This time however I was able to reach the top of the mountain in just over an hour while hardly breaking a sweat the whole time. Then coming back down I could immediately feel the difference on my legs. The lack of pressure on my knees and the softer foot falls were an amazing difference over before.

Yes!!!!!! This is one of the biggest goaIs I have. I want to go hiking so bad. When I was a bit younger I used to love being outdoors and just walking in the woods, even though I was still fat and couldn't do much. As I got older though even that was a hard thing to do. I cannot wait to get back out there and walk some trails or just pay in the woods. Such a country girl. Lol.

Okay ladies... if anyone is a bit squeamish, you may wish to look away! Here comes the real enchilada! I share it as a completely clinical not personal post. I trust no offense is taken, and we can really continue to help others assess and contemplate the process. I am so very thankful for your care and ongoing support of me. Hello to Mrs. Frankenstein, 2020.
    Day Four and Five
I have found them the most painful and arduous days thus far. We bathed yesterday and obviously in the 45 minutes I was allowed out of compression, my body expanded and the surgery Exparel had definitely worn off putting garments carefully back on again. I remember previous comments to this effect on other posts. But, very happy with surgeon's craftsmanship as you will note before and after pictures. We carefully cleaned, padded and put everything back into place BUT I am much more aware of other pesky nuisances, pulls and tugs. Ouch. I cried and shivered with pain at yesterday's nap and bedtime. But I slept it off into LaLa land. I still lack an appetite and have not had a bowel movement but it's a stirring! ;]
Today, is a new day - It felt like a poop day. Been taking stool softeners but nothing wanted to move at the last session. Haha. Don't you just hate being in that in-between state. I dislike returning to this unsettling dilemma after GS. It was so nice to return to a regular healthy routine. I am relying heavily upon nausea meds which I know are a by product of the big pain guns. Trying to take the oxycodone only at night now - but will see how I fair today? Thought it might be nice for hubby to take us to our favorite local Thai place and get out for a little Sunday drive. Not meant to be. Attempted to eat the inside sweet potato, peas, corn curry mix in money pockets (not the outside shell) to no avail. First time I've ever felt like throwing up anything and only once after GS recovery eating beef. Obviously, the oxy is wreaking havoc on my GS stomach - And, I want off them ASAP. Damn, I really did want a few bites of that red curry soft chicken, carrots, green Beans and bite of brown rice! We just had waitress wrap up to go and scurried back home to my deliriously delicious delectable cottage cheese with blueberries. Maybe Thai another day?
Oh my, Orchid & Dragons - twins!!!! Of course, you might just want the added benefit of muscle reconstruction? I have not bore any children, but my surgeon does offer the mommy tuck versions. When we spoke in great detail, we concurred the fleur-de-lis was my best option. And, given the more intense discomfort + pain I am currently experiencing - Glad there was not any residual muscle things done! I am also on a bit of a healing timeline by mid-May. I'm happy with the commitment, procedure + the pain level I've chosen. You will have to let us know how you are advised or do decide? I can also live with my elephant skin like crumpled thighs and bat wings arms for myself. I may address the chin + under neck area someday - And, she suggested maybe wanting to go back in later this year with a little lippo finessing. This is it for the major stuff. Drive a well-engineered, classic 13 year old car and want to begin saving for her replacement at 64, or if ever. I adore her actual real gear shift, she doesn't beep, argue or talk back to me with a stellar, conventional, rockin' sleuth six cylinder engine. Call me old school.
And, pssk - so excited for your plastics research here, too. A good surgeon will listen, won't dictate and will offer his best vision. And, that varies. That's why we all felt it important here to find just the perfect fit for us. I think these are my C cups but lifted now - have not ventured out into bra land quite yet. I disliked the DD on my 5' frame before weight loss (YUCK) BUT your fabulous 5'6" stature?! You never know!? Can I borrow a few inches in height? I just asked my surgeon to sculpt breasts she felt were in right proportion for my body type and shape. So happy with the reveal, right? I trust her explicitly... As I stated before, here she is the former Ms. Sophie now Mrs. Frankenstein, 2020. LOL. Back safely in my compressions. The drains come out Wednesday! Yay.

dinner + more belated bday celebrating at my bfs moms house yesterday.

Ate rice, and carne alentejana (Portuguese pork, potatoes and little necks). They insisted I grab some Brussel sprouts but I didn’t eat them since we know how that went last time. Oh and I also had a rumchata shot and a big bite of the pasteis de nata custard.

Surprisingly I still lost a pound this morning and I ate over 1000 calories last night.

Went out to lunch and ordered a burger which is unusual for me, however I was told this place had incredible burgers so of course I ordered one. (Picture does not do it justice) It was awesome and I got full really fast. I ate about a third of it. It was a big ass burger.
I’m 17 months out and it’s nice to go out and order “unhealthy ” food on occasion. I’m also glad that I still get full quickly.

Remember as you lose weight your calorie requirements go down as well. Since you have no stats posted I used mine. If I went from 298 lbs to 217 lbs my caloric needs would go down by 500 calories! Of course weight loss will slow as you lose weight. You can't maintain the same rapid weight loss the lower your weight becomes. Here is link to Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) calculator to calculate your daily caloric needs.
