CHEWABLE MULTIVITAMINS???
I am on all chewables- my multivitamin, calcium citrate (I use Bariatric advantage chews), Vitamin D3 and a disolvable under tongue sublingual B12. Going to get my blood work done first time this week after surgery for my 3 months and we will see if they are working.

Incision glue
Let it peel on its own! You don’t want to pull out a stitch and get a hole (that’s what happened to me by tugging on the peels) it’ll make a bigger scar.

Any August 2019 people out there?
Yes I agree I am going to be 10 weeks post op and I’ve only lost 41.4lbs and am only losing at most 2.8lbs a week since on soft/solid foods. I haven’t been doing my 30 minute walking which probably would help.
-
why am I so thirsty
Try crystal light sf, that’s how I make myself drink my water but putting flavor in my water. One packet I put in 40oz so it’s not too sweet

REGRET
Once you start walking It will get better! I was in so much pain when I woke up from surgery and like you I thought to myself “what the heck did I do to myself” but once I started to walk I felt better. Yes you will have a few struggles but like me even with struggles till this day almost 2 months post op I do not regret my decision

Feeling defeated.
Yes! I don’t know what got me sick last weekend but I had okay nausea Sunday and Monday horrible. I had introduced canned chicken breast in water that weekend. I find I have to boil the chicken myself (a friend made me soup with chicken and veggies and I felt fine- reasoning on how I know). Because the nausea didn’t stop till Monday night I had to call my surgeons office and the prescribed me Zofran. I totally get where your coming from! I got sleeved 10 days after you

Bad Taste / How to drink Liquids
You can drink from a water bottle but make sure your still sipping (that’s why they have you using 1 ounce cups). You don’t want to drink too fast so early. No i didn’t have a bad taste.

Here’s what I read about the difference when looking for my calcium citrate. But accidentally bought carbonate due to a site not being correct.

Weight loss update ?! 4 weeks Post-Op Today
This morning I weighted myself for my 4weeks Post Op :) If you saw my post about what was going on in week 3 you have most likely have read that I had gained 1.4lbs and then my weight wasn’t moving. glad to say today I had lost that 1.4lbs and an additional 1.2lbs making this weeks lost a total of 2.6lbs :) I know I have only lost 22lbs in 4lbs and that’s amazing but I’m really excited to lose the next 48lbs to get to my first personal goal :) Weight stats: Starting HW: 270.6 PRE-Op diet starting weight: 268.3 Surgery weight: 266.8 WEEK 1: -11.6lbs Week 2: -5.4lbs Week 3: +1.4lbs Week 4: -2.6lbs Total: -22lbs My personal Goals: Goal 1: get down to 200lbs (48.6lbs to go ?) Goal 2: get down to 180lbs Goal 3: get down to 160lbs Goal 4: get down to 135lbs NSVS: • I can go in my closet and pick any 2xl clothing and it be fitting just right or lose, and some XL fit nicely :) • I see the difference in my face and body Other updates: • Still have no appetite, still forcing myself to eat for fuel unless I go longer that 3 hours I do get this one feeling of emptiness • I can tolerate Greek yogurt (texture throws me off but I don’t mind it), tuna, 4 shredded cheese blend or mozzarella/cheese sticks, mashed beans, steamed zucchini and carrots (yay I been wanting veggies), Atkins French vanilla protein shakes, cottage cheese, reduced fat ritz crackers, scrambled eggs • can’t tolerate chocolate flavored Atkins protein shake, I get sick with nausea • my water intake is improving, getting closer and closer to 64oz

Number 2?
I think everyone is different but for me i was able to go (TMI but it was like water) wishing 4days out of the hospital. And real solid #2 once I was advanced to soft/solids stage 3 but just this weekend I suffered from constipation to where I cried (yup it was that bad). Today marks exactly 4 weeks Post Op :)

knowing when you are really hungry or really full?
It’s all about the sipping at 12 days. It’s important that your stomach heals correctly. I wouldn’t push it and I know you just want to drink normal but be patient with the process. I’m still learning and I’m 4weeks post op. I’m unsure when I would figure it out but I know how much I can eat in one sitting so just give myself the 4oz limit and no more because I don’t want to overdo it. At 12 days for me I was still on full liquids no purées with the exception of jello and pudding. I too was only able to take an ounce of water every 15 minutes in sips and in my second week it was every 10 minutes of sipping. It will get better! For me now if I drink too fast I get hiccups and that’s how I know I’m taking water in too fast. Listen to your body.

Pre and Post surgery resources
I use my Apple Watch, and Baritastic app to log my weight, intake, water intake. The app also has recipes you can try that are meant for Bariatric patients, the weight log portion also has milestones for you to achieve which motivates me more. You can use a reminder feature that I use to remind me to take my vitamins. You can put a checklist you need to do, and you can do more as well!
