  1. @aqua Yes the bruising is normal and will fade away. Good luck on your recovery and journey.

  4. Good to know, thank you. That’s a really good article thanks for the link!
  5. Yes that makes sense ? I guess as long as I stick to the citrate from now on I’ll be ok, I doubt two months of carbonates did me really wrong, I’ll still check with my doctor. Thank you!

  7. O.k, I know this may sound dumb, but I just realized that for the past two months I’ve been taking Calcium carbonate instead of calcium citrate - how bad is this? (I was sleeved 6/12, took calcium citrate for a month then calcium carbonate from then until now)

  12. @Frustr8 I am so sorry of what you have gone through! I agree with SeattleLady, find a new doctor.
  13. @Tracyringo Thank you for this info. I am hoping this will go away. I have heard carafate might work?

  15. @catwoman7 No, I was told the sleeve was not for those suffering from it however I never really had it therefore I didn’t think it would be a problem. I’m still healing and I hope it won’t last. @Lynda486 Are you revising because of the acid reflux? Gosh I hope I don’t have to resort to that. Please keep me updated on your progress and let me know if it cures the acid reflux. Good luck with your surgery!
  16. Thank you Lynda486 I will do this right away and I’ll let my doctor know. Approximately how many years before yours went away?

  18. Nothing is wrong, I stalled at three weeks as well and was also having a hard time with my water intake. I add sugar free/calorie free ice tea drops to my water which helps a lot and I’m exercising more. After a few days you will start dropping again, I promise :)
  19. I was sleeved 7 weeks ago and during the day I am fine but at night I have a burning sensation in my throat. I realized this may be acid reflux? I never had it before my surgery and had I known this would occur I may have chosen bariatric surgery instead. Does anyone have the same symptoms? Is this forever?

  21. I did not know that water intake converts fat into energy, no wonder i’m always tired - good to know, thank you all so much I appreciate your responses and I will force that water intake, I know I will feel the difference soon - thx again!!
  22. Thx for the responses - I for some reason am hardly ever thirsty - you think bad water intake may be contributing to weight gain? I know a pound or two isn’t a big deal because it will come off but I guess I’m trying to connect it to fluid intake so I can force myself to drink more.
  23. (fluid intake is only 20-30 ozs per day) not good :(
