Food Before and After Photos
This looks really good! I haven't had goat cheese in forever. One of my favorite snacks prior to surgery would be Portuguese bread (only bread I really liked) with smeared crush red pepper sauce and goat cheese.

Crispy on the corners! But the rest kinda just blended with the ground pork. They're not chewy at all. Almost seemed like they weren't there. BTW I bought them on amazon. Making this made me realize I enjoy the filling more than anything so Ill probably make them in meatball form or stir fry the meat for lettuce wraps.

LOL ironically I made Keto dumplings for lunch today. Ive been craving them like crazy but these did the trick! They look very weird, but they tasted just like them. Next time Ill cook them less, some were a little overdone. Each dumpling had a tbsp of ground pork filling and I ate 5 of them.

- GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +
Thats awesome!!! I started at 376 and had my surgery on 8/5. I am finally out of the 300's! Such an amazing feeling. Whats you goal weight?- Weight-loss funnies
Oh how I can relate to this lol- ❄DEC 2019 CHALLENGE❄
1. Personal goal: For this month my goal is to lose 20 pounds. My weight loss is slowing but Im hoping I can do it. I completed my November goal with was getting out of the 300's before 12/5! I haven't been in the 200's since 2014. 2. Add your surgery type, status (pre/post op, losing/maintenance): Post op, losing 3. Weight and BMI (not necessary but encouraged): 299 4. Tell us about your favorite winter activities: Going to NYC with my bf, Christmas shopping, building gingerbread houses with my siblings, shoveling snow (believe it or not I actually love shoveling), and going to the La Salette Shrine to see all the lights and drink hot chocolate. Looking forward to Decembers challenge! Lets do this!- Food Before and After Photos
Two things Ive been wanting to make! Quinoa salad and lasagna Looks good!- Can't handle protein shakes
I don't drink any protein shakes but i do drink fair life milk every morning and it helps me get that extra protein in.- Not so easy to make friends here...
Let be friends! I’m fairly new to this forum but I’ve been keeping up with it and have met some pretty amazing and inspiring people. There’s still hope! Feel free to message me!- ? Nov 2019 Challenge?
1. Personal Goal: To be in the 200’s by the 5th of December. That’s when I hit my 4 months post op. O 2. Add your surgery type, status (pre/post op, losing/maintenance): Sleeve, post op, losing 3. Weight and BMI: 301lbs- ? Nov 2019 Challenge?
Day 27: I’m most grateful for our diversity. I grew up in a very mixed city and was influenced by many different cultures and backgrounds. I love the unity we have! Day 28: I’m thankful just to have a roof over my head and the people I share it with. A home is not a home without the ones you love and I’m grateful for them. Thanksgiving was a nice reminder of that. Day 29: My car payment! I’m still paying it but I’m glad I’m able to afford afford it and not be in debt. I can’t wait until it’s over lol- Food Before and After Photos
Hope everyone had a great dinner last night! I tried to avoid all the heavier foods and stuck to some basics. There was a roasted pork shoulder I didnt even try, a Chifa (Peruvian Chinese fusion) beef stir, oven baked hot wings, pasta, and a few other items my family members brought over. The pre-surgery me would have tried it all. I ended up making some sauteed asparagus and green beans last minute so I had other options. Dinner: The turkey was amazingggggggggg. Props to my dad. I was able to finish the rest of my turkey a few hours after and then I served another 2 oz of it. I never finished my veggies or mashed potatoes. Third pic are those babies that took forever to make. Its similar to a traditional tamale except the "masa" is made out of grated green bananas, plaintains, taro, and fresh pumpkin. The inside has pork, olives, and chickpeas. I couldnt skip out on this lol Dessert: I ate half the pumpkin pie filling from that slice. I knew how much sugar was in the pie since I made it so i figured it would be ok as long as i avoided that crust.- Food Before and After Photos
I dont think I ever baked an egg with an avocado before? lol I know recently I posted stuffed avocado. But that baked idea sounds good!- 101 pounds since surgery 7/10
Congratulations! Very inspiring!- I must be nuts!!
Thats nice of you! Everything sounds delicious!- Any August 2019 people out there?
Omg @Lbtnew!!! U look amazing!!! Wow! Its crazy what a 46 pound difference can do! You look like a whole new person, the hard work definitely shows. And may I add that your confidence is radiating though that second pic! ❤️- Any August 2019 people out there?
Same here! There are times I'm so hungry i can eat a cow but once I take a couple times of dense protein I'm done and very full. Congratulations on the wight loss, thats a lot! Cant wait to see all my August peeps lose even more I feel you with the fluid. 16 - 32 oz is the most I'm taking in too. I'm just not thirsty and when I force myself to drink more I get nauseous. The stall could be the water or an indication that we need to switch up our eating times. I'm losing slowly now. Thanksss!! Good to know! I tried upping my protein and it didnt do anything. Im going to replace my chicken tonight for a bowl of Cherios because as of right now the stall really is REAL lol.- Any August 2019 people out there?
Hello August people! How are you guys? Hows the progress been going? Id love to know- Food Before and After Photos
Good to know my team is not the only one who is ok with it. For me it’s a good trade off. Since surgery water hasn’t tasted the same so not only is it helping me get down fluid but also tmi - go to the bathroom... I’m still on the hunt for another alternative/hoping the water problem goes away.- Food Before and After Photos
Question for everyone: Has anyone drank Kombucha after surgery? I ran it by my nutritionist and my surgeons assistant and they both said the carbonation is not as bad as soda so it wont cause stretching. They weren't concerned about the sugar or calories because its so little. Does anyone's doc say otherwise? I love the stuff but I'm still afraid of drinking it on a daily basis. I've replaced my morning chamomile tea with a bottle of this. These are the two brands I've been drinking. I find the Humm to have less carbonation. - Food Before and After Photos
