  1. Today's lunch, more stews. I was only able to eat half a thigh and half of a small potato.
  2. Day 2: I’m most grateful for my phone. It just makes my daily life so much easier. I’m also grateful for finding out that there’s such a thing as digital planners. An iPad is on my Christmas list this year. It will replace my physical planner. As far as the negative feedback goes, I guess you can say I’ve somewhat experienced it. No one knows about my surgery except for my parents, siblings and bf. They have been very supportive, but each week my dad is constantly asking me if I’ve lost weight. When I tell him that I’m stalling he looks at me like there is something wrong, as if the surgery is not doing enough, or I’m not doing enough. He expects the weight to just fly right off. I know he doesn’t have bad intentions but it just makes me feel like I’m not doing good and I’ll be fat forever lol I’m really trying the best I can...
  3. My first time eating a salad since surgery! I was given the clear to give it a shot so I made a ground turkey salad. Cooked the turkey in a stew type way then added corn. I combined it to the second container which has romaine, black beans, tomatoes, light sour cream, and low fat Mexican cheese. Had no problems eating it. It went down pretty smooth surprisingly. Left overs will be for dinner. Meat & veggies mixed: After:
  4. I'm going to give this a shot. My carbs usually come from milk and sometimes cherios but other days I have no complex cabs. I keep stalling too. Not sure if its the water or what. Thanks!
  5. 1. My personal goal for this month is to drink more water. I keep stalling and I think its because of the water intake. 2. I had the sleeve on 8/5/19 (post op & losing) 3. 312 lbs & 55 BMI 4. I'm most grateful for the extra 10 minutes of sleep I was able to get this morning I'm also just grateful that I have another day of life to live and that I woke up. God is good. Oh and as far as the challenge goes, the no potatoes thing is going to be tough for me....
  6. @GreenTealael @Deedee12 Hahaha thanks guys ? Im good! Hope all is well with you too! <3
  7. Thank you! And yessss I am Its nice to know that even after surgery I can eat some what of the same things. I was worried my new stomach wouldn't be able to handle some of the spices and condiments that are used in Peruvian dishes but I haven't had a problem so far.
  8. Today's lunch: Peruvian chicken stew made with a soy sauce and ginger base. The veggies are orange bell peppers and scallions. This time I ate the potatoes. I know it doesn't look nice since I took apart the chicken but its all about the flavor! Most of the dishes I make are suppose to be eaten with rice but I've been getting use to the no rice thing. The leftovers ended up being my dinner. It took me all day to finish the rest. After:
  9. Congratulations! Thats a lot of weight lost in such a short amount of time! I can see the dedication How long do you work out for and what types of exercises do you do?
  10. Wow congratulations! That's a huge milestone! You're not too far from your goal weight
  11. ¡Hola!
  12. For todays lunch I made Portuguese soup, the perfect food for rainy days! It has linguisa, kale, cabbage, potatoes, kidney beans, cannellini beans, elbows, and a few other ingredients. I ate a little less than a cup and avoided the elbows. I believe it was close to 200 calories. I remembered to take an after shot this time
  13. Omgggg yuck i would have puked. Ill definitely keep this in mind! So far I haven't ran into anything that didn't taste the same. Im scared now lol
  14. I would kill for a restaurant that sold Peking duck near me. There’s this one spot but it’s not a dine in place. Since surgery all I’ve been wanting is duck and dumplings... the dreams have been starting lol
  15. Lmaooo love that meme food looks delicious!
  16. Here's yesterday: I woke up late so i didnt eat breakfast. It doesnt say it in the app but the dinner part was turkey meatballs and I stuffed them with a 1/5 of a string cheese stick. Sprinkled a little shredded mozz. on top too. Calories: 616 Protein: 65g Carbs: 51g Fat: 17g
  17. This sounds realllyyyyyy good I'm going to try it! Believe it or not, I've never tried chicken broth before. What kind do you use? Or are you referring to the chicken flavor powder?
  18. This looks delicious! What kind of vinaigrette did you make?
  19. Im going treadmill shopping this upcoming Monday! New England weather is crazy and I dont plan on working out in the freezing cold. Im getting cold just thinking about it lol
  20. Im having the same issue I stalled or about 3 weeks then it broke out of the nowhere, I lost a few more pounds and now I'm stalling again. I havent cheated I was eating around 500 -600 cals, and have been walking. Im going to be increasing my cal intake and I think I need to exercise more. Why do you think you have stalled? I dont think its the amount your eating... 800 cals is good! I heard the honeymoon phase is a year so dont panick yet! Theres still plenty of time. But we do need to maximize all the time we have ...
  21. Hi Deedee! I'm glad to hear you are doing good and staying positive. I just met with my nutritionist yesterday. Ive been getting 500 - 600 calories a day and I was told I should be hitting 1,000 now (seems like a lot). As far as stalls go, she told me the same thing.... that this weight isnt going to just melt off and that hitting plateaus are part of the process. You're doing everything right and it sounds like you're extremely dedicated! The weight will come off eventually. Enjoy the ride, even though its a bumpy one. That's what I'm trying to do. Easier said than done though lol
  22. Ahhh i absolutely love lamb! It looks like you cooked it nicely! I posted a chicken cilantro stew that I made a couple of days ago but that dish I posted is traditionally made with lamb. Its called Seco de Cordero. Now Im craving lamb... and its 9:48 am lol
  23. Lol love anything green, thanks!
  24. Dinner last night: Made beef soup with veggies. Finished it all
