  1. I had more or less the same instructions, but with a more gradual progression: 2 weeks fluid, 1 week pureed, 1 week minced, 1 week soft , then cleared for EVERYTHING after that. ...though even though I was cleared for everything, it didn't mean that I actually went for everything. I chose to stay low-cal, ultra-low-carb for the entirety of my weight loss phase. This was against my NUT's direction, but she wasn't overly concerned with my choices. ??‍♀️
  2. You're a dude, taller and with a higher starting weight. Your progression is going to be different from the female, shorter, lower-starting-weight perspective. Listen to your body, and follow your prescribed plan if it works for you. Which is exactly what you are doing. ?? With that said: Take direction from the medical professionals with a healthy dose of self-advocation/research. Not all doctors/NUTS have the same view, and a single view may not be applicable to all people. Also: 40 lbs in 5 weeks is A-MAY-ZING.
  3. When you bumped up your cals, you likely increased sugar and carbs? I've heard/read (and experienced myself) that sugar begets sugar. When you introduce sugar/carbs regularly into your diet (especially after avoiding it for so long), you are going to crave it more. To tame the cravings, you can try removing/reducing your sugar/carb intake. There may be a hump you will need to go through though, which may be challenging. Good Luck ❤️

Screw Goal Weights. ^^^ THIS has got to be the Ultimate Goal. ❤️

Love. Love. Love these jeans on you. Wear them all the time. Unless of course you did a bulk order of them in various colours, in which case just wear them all on rotation. ❤️
  7. Ah summer in Australia.... I remember consecutive days of 40C temp and 100% humidity. I loved it and hated it at the same time ❤️?
  8. Yeah, I'm becoming more and more convinced that a goal "look" (or "feel") is better than a goal "weight". Once you get to a level that you are happy with in terms of how you look to yourself and how you feel about yourself, then whatever weight you are at then is your goal weight. Of course this could change later on, but you can always re-evaluate later down the road. P.S. obviously this approach would only really work with those who don't have serious cases of BD.... P.P.S. at one point in the spring this year, when I was at about 145lbs, and was closing in on my original goal, I thought wow, wouldn't it be cool if I could weigh as much as I did in high school? So I made a secret goal-after-goal of 105 lbs. Yeah...NO. Based on how I look now at 115, another 10lbs lost on my frame would look way to thin.
  9. Today, Monday, Nov. 25 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.7 lbs Yeah, I'm sick. Posting this now and I'm going to bed. 8:00am - earl grey tea w/ stevia 1:30pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + 1/2 oz almonds + 1/2 oz cashews + 1 oz grilled pork + 2 oz grilled sirloin + chili oil + 1 oz goat cheese 3:30pm - 1/4 cup coffee ice cream + 8 dark chocolate covered coffee beans 7:30 pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + carrots+ 3 chicken wings + Japanese Beef Udon sans Udon (1 cup dashi broth + 1/2 oz stir-fried sirloin w/ green onion + 1/8 cup mushrooms) Totals: 987 cals - 63g Protein - 42g NET carbs - 59g fat
  10. I didn't even notice the NOTICE.
  11. Hahaha..... I am guilty of this. My own personal excuse is that I actually believe I can eat what I had prepared for myself, at the time of making it. I often feel like I am much hungrier than I actually am (which is part of why I eat slowly, so that I don't accidentally cross the too-full line before I its too late). P.S. though there are definitely times I can polish off one of my ginormous salads. P.P.S I have also long ago gotten used to eating cold or room-temp food.
  12. I agree. Trying to stop weight loss is one thing, but purposefully trying to gain weight so soon after weight loss phase is another, as a part of the natural course of things will (most likely) be a little bit of rebound gain. Why pre-load your weight card now?
  13. Yep, and more frequent eating...fasting (intermittent or not) is more conducive to weight loss than maintenance or weight gain. But again, only if one wants to and/OR is ready to stop weight loss and for reals get into maintenance.
  14. I *think* your maintenance weight will be the weight that you are at when you stop eating weight loss calories. Theoretically (though there are some that can), one cannot sustain a forever diet of 800 cals or less. Once you get to some caloric level that you can stick to for the long term/forever AND your weight remains stable (this is with any regular exercise factored in), then you are in maintenance.
  15. I remember! (that you have family in my neck of the woods ) LOL i don't doubt that your son has all the gear. I sorta sorta kinda actually wanted to buy the "Championship Fan Ring" for posterity, but at $5000, Mr. said I'd have to choose between that and actual tickets to games for this season. I'm still figuring out how to get my way and have both...
  16. Yeah, I think this is basically it. Relationships that are already strong can weather storms/issues/problems/major changes better than ones that aren't.
  17. Just me, but I think maybe people need food. ❤️
  18. If you end up with excess skin (above poster is correct, there are some lucky few who elasticize back to normal-looking..,mostly the younger ones, the ones who have not lost and gained multiple times, the ones who have not been overweight for very long, the ones with great genetics, etc...) the only way to get rid of it is plastic surgery. And you wont know if you will have excess skin until you lose the weight. With that said, my excess skin looks better* than it did a few months before, not so much better that I am willing to forgo plastics, but enough that I am comfortable walking around naked. *in particular, my neck and face look so much better now. my upper arms, side-boob are pretty drape-y, and have improved only slightly. However, the one place that seems to have not improved at all and in fact probably has gotten worse is my butt. *sigh*.
  19. Day 25: What are you most grateful for in your city? The current reigning NBA champs: The Toronto Raptors. (Yes, we are still flying high on this months old win. Going to continue to ride it until they rip the trophy from our cold dead hands.) GO RAPS GO!
  20. Sounds like a regular Friday night with the girlfriends, LOL! Love it.
  21. YESSSSS! I'm happy that you have started to find your groove...when the anxiety/stress/worry starts to abate there is nothing left but to ENJOY how awesome everything is ❤️
  22. First, you are actually more experienced than me (I was sleeved 3 months AFTER you ) With that said, I think, like alot of us, you may be focusing too much on the number on the scale? When you were 130 lbs before, were you bigger/smaller/the same size as you are now? I know that years ago, I when I weighed the amount I way now, I was actually bigger then than I am now. It may be because of the muscle vs. fat ratio...? Are you fitter now than then? Chasing a number that worked for you before may not be as applicable now.
  23. Today Sunday, Nov. 24 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.9 lbs I think I'm coming down with something again. I was feeling run down all morning and after eating I went to go lie down on the couch and close my eyes for a bit. Woke up 6 hours later. Still feel pretty tired, and am likely going to bed really soon. 8:00am - earl grey tea w/ stevia 11:30am - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + Parmesan + 3 oz grilled chicken 7:30 pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + goat cheese + 3 oz grilled chicken + 2 oz turkey breast + 1 buffalo chicken wing + 1/3 cup raspberry-lime sorbet Totals: 791 cals - 75g Protein - 43g NET carbs - 32g fat
  24. Now how did you get this picture to look like a studio shot? Do you have some cool lightbox or something??? P.S. #yum
