  1. this is probably the best looking of the worst. at least there was broccoli. have a last good night at the care centre!
  2. ooooohhhh...a new idea to try!! off to fix a cayenne pepper spiced drink for myself...
  3. Oh that's a tough one. I do love me some Franks Red Hot Buffalo sauce. But I also like wasabi/horseradish-based hot sauces. And chili oils! And Korean pepper pastes! I don't think I can just choose one... I have to take it easy now though, as it no longer sits well with me , which makes me really sad. I totally miss extra-extra-spicy vodka ceasar's with extra celery salt on the rim (I used to ask them to just leave the Tabasco sauce bottle with me, LOL) What about you?
  4. LOL, not sure if you are talking to me? But you did quote me, so I'm going to assume "yes". Sorry if you weren't! I definitely have excess skin in my upper arms and my side boob area, which I am actually getting addressed next week with an arm lift and boob lift revision! (so excited). They aren't so very bad and I can hide them pretty well, but I hate them so they have to go! My butt is also very deflated and I've got a bit of wrinkly skin above my belly button, but i can live with them .

Then it's official. you just have skinny calves.

Lol, it's just the cut of the boots I guess Do those boots actually fit your feet? or are they too big?
  7. ms.sss replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
Dress is definitely too big...you may be able to salvage it with a wide belt? Also, now that I see the boots up close, I think those are too big for you as well! Your calves aren't filling them out at all.
  8. Isn't the dose 17g though?
  9. Oh my. Wasn't prepared for that. What are the two little dark nuggets between the stomach pieces and the arm pieces?
  10. ms.sss replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
@FluffyChix LOVE the boots! LOVE the jacket! LOVE the entire ensemble on you! You looking skinny, Minnie ❤️
  11. Please, please, can we see you in it?!?!?!??!
  12. MUST. SEE. BOOTS.
  13. I love that you obviously like spicy eats! I also love some kick in my food, but I notice that have lost some of my tolerance for heat post op for some reason. Also, if I have too much I now get a bit of indigestion (didn't before ). Has your tolerance changed at all post op? Or did it stay the same?
  14. I did 2 weeks of 3 shakes a day (Optifast powder + water). The second and third day was rough, but was smooth sailing after that....hang in there!
  15. Wow, that's alot of food for sub 1200 cals...you and Fluffy have skillz. Also, impressive 5 lbs loss! you did that in less than a month, yes?
  16. @Meadow76, it occurred to me that I should state that as a further FYI, the menus posted on here and most of the folks commenting are a bit further out than you are, and are in maintenance already. You probably don't want to model your behaviours with ours just yet ❤️ Rock your weight loss phase first, and you can enjoy the fruits of your labour later. You'll thank yourself 6 months from now.
  17. True. Though I was drinking carbonated beverages (in the form of sparkling water/Perrier) during weight loss phase with a couple drops of "water enhancers" I carry around in my purse everywhere I go. It was a good thing to nurse when everyone else was drinking/eating. Everyone's team has different degrees of opinions on carbonated drinks as well, though. My team said to stay away because they felt carbonated drinks where too filling and I wouldn't be able to fill my stomach with actual food if I drank it. Also they said it could cause painful gas. Again, I told them I was drinking it, and it wasn't causing me issues (in fact I liked the fact that it made me burp, helped clear out gas, LOL), and they were/are cool with it. I still drink it now, LOTS of it. But again, check with your team and let them know whatever you decide...
  18. LOL, yes, I have no real issues with alcohol . I had my first (partial) drink at around 1-2 months. After that, only on special occasions during weight loss phase. Once I got into maintenance, I drink more often (mostly when I'm out or have company over, which is probably once or twice every couple weeks...oh and of course when on vacation!) I don't drink as much as pre-op as I get drunk much faster on much less (but on the flip side, I also sober up much faster). Now, my team also told me to try to stay away from alcohol in general, but the nutritionist only shook her head when I told her what and how much I was drinking, and my surgeon wasn't/isn't concerned at all. Check with your team, and let them know what you are doing whatever you decide... P.S. I also mostly drink dry wines and spirits/distilled alcohol (lower carb content), and I very rarely use full-sugar mixers in anything.
  19. soooo exciting! I'm next week too!!!!!
  20. Yesterday, Tuesday, Dec. 10 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 115.8 lbs ---------------------------------------- ...seriously, it's challenging to get in HEALTHY calories. ---------------------------------------- 9:30am - coffee w/ stevia + 1 cup dashi broth 12:30pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + carrots + 1/2 an avocado + 1 oz almonds + 4.5 oz pan-fried pork chop + 2 tbsp sour cream 3:00pm - coffee w/ stevia + 1 cup cottage cheese + 1/4 cup papaya + 2 oz cashews 7:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + 2 oz pan-fried pork chop + 1.5 oz Keto bacon-wrapped meatloaf + 1/2 tbsp non-Keto glaze + 1/4 cup roasted brussel sprouts & bacon + 1/2 cup roasted acorn squash w/ maple-cinnamon glaze. 10:30pm - coffee w/ stevia + 2 oz chicharron + 2 cubes cut papaya + 1/2 avocado ---------------------------------------- Totals: 1945 cals - 137g Protein - 70g NET carbs - 127g fat
  21. Hiya! You can get Premier Protein (ready-to-drink) easily in T.O. I've seen them everywhere...it's probably cheapest at Costco, but if you don't have a membership, Walmart is your next cheapest bet if its not on sale anywhere else
  22. No objection here. LOL
  23. I think for someone as far out as you (i.e., 4 months), maybe eat all your protein first, and if you have room you can go to town with the salad that you portioned out? P.S. I'm more than a year out, and I normally finish my greens first, if I can (cuz I ❤️ salad). But I am not in danger of missing my protein goals anyway, so it doesn't really matter for me.
  24. ^^ Second this. When I eat carbs (i.e., sugar), I want it all the time, when I don't, I don't miss it. If you can get through about 3-5 days of ultra-low carb, then the cravings will go away (well, at least that is my experience....) Good Luck!
  25. Yesterday, Mobday, Dec. 9 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 115.8 lbs ---------------------------------------- For the past several weeks, I've noticed my coffee consumption has grown exponentially.
