@AmandaGail06: welcome! Cant wait too see more of you in fab outfits! @ChubRub: the Hamilton shoes are adorable. Where did u get them? @Nermada: those sparklers are aching to be paired with some slim fit pants...? More pics, please! @Arabesque: love the faux leather top. I am also very picky about the right shade of grey to wear, lol. You’ve chosen well, lol. Looking awesomely cool, as usual ?

Heyyyyy! Can i be photoshopped into this too?!?!?!
  3. A giant bowl of leaves with some apples and feta #yum #iKnow...BoooorinnnggButStillYum 175 calories (ate about 2/3)
  4. I don’t know how accurate my at-home smart scale is (i have the Withings Body+ scale)... Last year (and for the first couple months of this year) at 113-115 lbs, my body fat percentage was in the 12-15% range. These days, i have been hovering around 116-118 lbs and body fat in the 18-22% range (which i assume because I have lost some muscle and gained fat due to my decline in exercise and increase in dessert/alcohol). I don’t notice any specific health/being effects between the two states, and neither has my PCP (i probably had my labs done 3 times in the past 12 months, all of which have been lovely). What I do notice is just aesthetic: i think I look “softer” and less fit/athletic, which I don’t particularly like, but i do like how my face and neck look less Skeletor-y. If I can figure out a way to keep my body looking toned AND my face filled out at the same time, I’d be a happy girl!
  5. OMG. Success!!! I actually liked this better than regular pizza!! Its crispy and everything! Fam even gave it the thumbs up, but they are barred from eating more cuz it’s all MINE (they can eat the regular pizzas I made for them). Now I’m thinking I could use this for other bread/crust applications ? oh, the possibilities! I ate an entire slice (1/8 of the pizza) but I probably should have eaten less (and slower, dammit), cuz I am stuffed at the moment (verging on TOO stuffed) 1 slice is 155 cals, 1.6g net carbs. Toopings include: mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, sundried tomatoes, Brussel sprouts and jalapeño.
  6. Made this Keto chicken pizza crust this AM (making regular pizza for the fam later and I wanna join in on the fun). It smells DELICIOUS: 350g shredded chicken breast, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan, 2 eggs & seasonings. Baked at 400 for 20 mins. 85 calories & .05g NET carbs per serving (1 serving == 1/8 of the entire thing), plus whatever toppings you add... Will post pics of the final product later...sooo excited!
  7. Love the mini bread spade, soooo cute! (Love the nails even more!)

First time dining at a restaurant INDOORS since March. Our friends knew the restaurant owner so they hooked us up with a private room, so it wasn’t as anxiety-inducing. Could only stay for 3 hours though as the room was booked for a bigger group. Ah well, beggars can’t be choosers, and a good time was still had. P.S. it was a Brazilian Steakhouse and I definitely did not eat my money’s worth. Good thing Mr. eats like a (very hungry) horse so he made up for it, ?
  9. Was in the area of my favourite Italian bakery, so of course I needed to load up on goodies and spend some quality time staring at all the goodness and smelling the place. Assorted amaretti cookies, pistachio cannoli and mini traditional ricotta cannoli: 67644566 gazillion calories, am not even going to bother trying to figure out the nutritional info. I haven’t any yet, but at dinner later, I figure I’ll have 1-2 of the teeny almond topped cookies (my absolute faves) and a bite of someone’s pistachio cannoli and mark it down as 500 cals...that seems fair, no? Bring on the sugar coma! (It’s Friday, so eff it).
  10. Don’t worry ANY food posts are great food posts, lol. Welcome to the thread (aka the “food porn” thread ??)!
  11. More anecdotal two cents... I just naturally intermittent fasted, from Day 1, actually. Even pre-op, I rarely ate until at least after noon/1pm, (just not a breakfast person, never was, still not). But after surgery, I stopped eating by around 6-7pm because I had some early reflux issues and I wanted to make sure that my stomach was COMPLETELY and TOTALLY empty before I laid down for the night (or even to just lay down on the couch to watch tv). So this basically had me eating in a 5-7 hour window every day. All my labs came back swimmingly (still great, had my 2 yr follow up early last week) and I had energy for days (still do). P.S. I was sleeved P.P.S. Been in maintenance for well over a year, and I no longer suffer from nighttime relfux, so I do now often eat past 7pm...so i’m not naturally IF-ing anymore. Just my personal experience.

For sh*ts and giggles! Been cleaning out our closets the past couple days (there are SIX garbage bags of clothes to be donated from my closet alone!), and tried on the Kid’s old 6th grade Halloween costume ??. Rawr! (It fit her much looser back then than on me now...good thing u can’t see my face as I am suffering from a serious wedgie...lololololzzz)

No Kohl’s in Toronto You look like you have a longer torso than me though...your jacket would likely hang too low on me. I find that I need to get cropped tops/jackets so the bottom hem ends at my waist and/or upper hips. Same thing with pants...low rise jeans tend to look like regular rise on me. Sigh.

Hmmm...I do like the cut of this jacket in the white option pic (slim-fit looking and semi-cropped)! BUT...i think there may be some photo-shopping or pinning involved as the same jacket in regular indigo wash is showing pretty boxy...(but for $40, its a steal, no?) Off to check out Loft (no Dillard’s here...)! ❤️

While I am happy for the change in status, I am sad that the prospect of you being my future nephew-in-law are dashed. ???????? Pics soon, pls!!
  16. ms.sss replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
You and me both! i’ve been in the market for white jean jacket since spring 2019, lol. Just cant seen to find one in the right cut...

An H&M summer clearance SCORE. Picked up this top this afternoon for....$1.00 (and that’s Canadian dollars so it’s basically free for U Americans, lol) P.S. no full body shot this time cuz I’m wearing an old pair of jeans that are unflatteringly too big...
  18. ms.sss replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
    Love it!
  19. Same! I was a certified couch potato before, now im one of those people who needs to run to feel like the day is complete. And it all started with walking laps around my kitchen island...now I do at least 5km every day. (NOT around the kitchen island, lol)
  20. This may or may not be applicable your case, but just a thought: if u are using kidney beans in your chilli, improperly cooked kidney beans are known to cause nausea/stomach aches/vomiting a couple hours after ingesting....the culprit is some sort of toxin or other that is only destroyed after proper cooking....
  21. Ugh. I hated the “concern” people around me always had about my eating habits. I just said, “yup, I’m watching what I eat”, or “no thanks, I’m watching what I eat”, and tried to change topics to something about them. Thankfully the concern has more or less stopped at 2 years out. They are all used to it now.
  22. I have honey once in a while (mostly in desserts, and maybe in some entree or other)...but I didn’t start until after I was done with weight loss.
  23. Forget the tortilla, look at ‘em NAILS! ?
  24. ms.sss replied to a post in a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
YES! That’s exactly it. (So funny I thought I was weird, nice to know I’m not the only one) The new kind is effortless AND tasteless. I find I have the new kind when I eat too much, or too fast, or if I drink too soon after eating. The painful/old kind is when I have too much sugar or dairy.
