Keto Diet with weight loss surgery - What are your thoughts about it?
You can buy a blood ketone monitor (it's like a blood glucose monitor for diabetics). It's a little pricier but you can probably get a cheap one off Amazon or Ebay.

Keto Diet with weight loss surgery - What are your thoughts about it?
I've just had a look at the sugar and it's not hugely bad. 6 grams. But then I looked at Fage 0% and it's only 3grams, so Imma try that one.

I don’t dump
My dumping is unpredictable. I've only had it a couple of times because I'm trying to stick to The Rules and I'm generally only eating protein, low-fat and low-carb but a Mocha, Pringles and an apple made me dump whereas a piece of my daughter's birthday cake (I'd saved up calories so I could have a small piece) was fine. I'm happy with the threat of it happening because it helps keep me on the straight and narrow for the most part. [emoji16]

Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op
Could be! I also had the hot flushy feeling and nausea. I usually try and separate out drinking and eating as per The Rules, but I do suspect the chocolate in the Mocha was the main problem [emoji24][emoji24]

Why don't more people get the MGB? I love mine!
Slightly different technique where instead of cutting and stitching the intestine in two places, they loop up a bit of intestine and stitch it to the bottom of the new small stomach pouch in just one place.

Woooooooooooo
Congratulations! Wouldn't you love to bottle this feeling and sell it!! Enjoy your new bod!

Weight Lose per week
I wouldn't be worried with that, it's in the right direction!! Might give your skin a better chance to recover if you lose slower.

Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op
Hah! You have an escape plan! Very sensible.

Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op
I wonder if the international recipes are not as sugary.

Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op
It's definitely different. I use to be able (have to) PB at the slightest thing, but I don't do that anymore. Much more pleasant, generally speaking. If I eat too much firm protein, it sits in my chest like lead, but at least I'm not rushing to the bathroom.

Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op
Omg I can't imagine anything worse than other workmates hearing me poop. OK I can, if they smelled my poop, that would be worse. I'd rather suffer the constipation.

Oh that makes more sense. Not that it's good for you [emoji24][emoji24]

Do you eat yoghurt? My hubs does keto (he's not a bariatric patient tho) and I'm thinking of moving more that way but I love me some 0% fat yogurt for breakfast. I dunno if i can give up my lovely yoghurt.

Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op
I can't even imagine how much sugar they put into Campbell's soup to cause dumping. Sheesh.

Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op
Hell no, once was enough for me. I can't even look at a Mocha from the servo now. Not that they are that great to begin with (coffee snob coz I'm from Melbourne, Oz)

Puking: Post-Op vs. Pre-Op
I had a dumping episode in my car once when I FOOLISHLY bought a Mocha and an apple (and a small can of Pringles, hands up, I'll confess) in a moment of weakness, which led to sliming and throwing up mouthfuls of chewed apple and Pringles. Soz TMI. I hadn't eaten lunch, I was on my way to give a lecture so I knew I wouldn't be home for ages and so in a moment of crazy weakness I stopped at the servo. I bought an apple (pre-surgery it would have been chocolate) and thought 'how bad can a Mocha be? It's basically coffee with a little bit of chocolate'). How wrong I was! I ate the apple and, I'm ashamed to say, the Pringles and they were fine. Then I started drinking the Mocha. Made it all the way through and then started to feel AWFUL. I was in a car on a motorway and couldn't stop w/o being late for my lecture. So the sliming (gross saliva) started and I was throwing it up into the Mocha cup, one hand on the wheel. Luckily it was in small quantities but I reckon I filled half of the Mocha Cup. But I was very quiet and discreet in the car so, its not like regular vomiting. I have never done this before and I will NEVER do it again. No more Pringles and mochas for this girl. Sometimes ya gotta learn the hard way.
