  1. Fantastic, you look like one of those hereditary skinny girls!!
  2. Lads! When I was in hospital yesterday they gave me buscopan and it did help! It's good for period pain too apparently https://www.nhs.uk/medicines/buscopan-hyoscine-butylbromide/
  3. They've given me an outpatients appointment in the new year. Not sure really coz it's not doing much. I'm not getting any problematic fibroid symptoms like excessive bleeding and clotting, so, dunno if there is much point doing anything to it.
  4. I'm even giving @Matt_Z a run for his money in the drinking water stakes. Lovely to hear about the mosque open day! Definitely good for meeting neighbours and building bridges!
  5. Me too, not having wedding rings on is like forgetting my glasses and then walk g around squinting all day. It just doesn't feel right.
  6. I need to print this off and put it on my fridge. This is so so so so true and a great way of looking at it!
  7. Straws and gum here. I do follow the no carbonated drinks rule tho.
  8. Well I did it. Hauled myself off to gp then Emergency coz I'm 90% sure i have a kidney stone. Praise God I got seen relatively quickly but xray didn't show stone. I do have an infection though. Got bounced up to gynae who are pretty sure colicky pain isn't from the Mother of All Fibroids sitting there (which I can feel oh so much better since losing 20kgs - it's like a bloomin bowling ball in my belly). So, they sent me home with buscopan, augmentin and best wishes. Waaaa I'm still pretty sure it's a kidney stone!
  9. Oh cripes. I'm sorry to hear, what a sucky thing to do. But this gives you a chance to concentrate on your own health and wellbeing, rather than putting energy into a soured relationship. I hope every pound you lose feels like an even bigger victory. Here's to much better things for you about to come into your life!

I say go with your gut. It wasn't just a five minute judgement, you spent a whole date with him.
  11. Lads! A solution (for me) was staring me in the face but I never thought of it till I was telling my mum about my wedding rings getting too loose. After my dad died a few years back, my mum gave me her wedding ring. It never fit me so I kept it in my jewellery box to give to my daughter one day. So speaking to mum I thought why don't I at least try and see how much more weight I need to lose before it fits. Lads, it fits! I cannot believe it. It's really special to me to be able to wear it too.
  12. Hahaha, I don't think insurance covers it hahaha
  13. IKR - I figure, everyone has a bad personality trait or disease or something they wish they could change about themselves. I'm lucky coz I can have surgery to help me with mine. But there is no surgery for losing your excess a**h***.

Oh, and potato is not a vegetable.

I can't claim any originality here, but mine are : - aim for 1000 calories a day - aim for 60 gms protein a day - drink as much non- or decaff fluids as possible but not within half an hour of eating a meal except breakfast (I have a cuppa and 100 gms of 0% fat Greek yoghurt with a few berries and grapes and a cap of SF syrup for breakfast everyday) - low fat as much as possible, eg. never more than a tsp of oil to stir fry anything - plenty of veggies and fruit within my daily calorie limit - don't graze - it's got to be a meal or a planned snack or have a drink instead - use small Delph and utensils - avoid all carbs that aren't fruit, veggies or legumes as much as possible
  16. Teeheeheheheheh yep, I'm willing hahah
  17. Lads, drink plenty of water also so you don't get kidney stones, just sayin'
  18. Well done! Does it matter if you have a week of lazy food? Some protein on a plate and fluids until you get your cooking mojo back?
  19. It either means he doesn't think I'll get there or he really loves me. I'm an optimist so I'm going for the second bahahaha. ?
