  1. Ooooh I'm stealing that goal too!
  2. Oooh I'm in too. Imma have to convert my numbers to pounds but why not hey? SW: 127.5 kg / 281 lbs CW: 112.9 / 249 GW for Jan: 108 / 238 Jan Goals: - Lose a kilo a week - make up all my Ramadan missed fasts - keep net carbs under 50 a day Photo is from Dec 29 but close enough
  3. Had my first day of Ramadan makeup fasting today (I have some days to makeup that I hadn't fasted in Ramadan due to period, illness & travel). This is the first time I fasted post-op and it wasn't toooooooo bad. I got an almighty headache but I wasn't really hungry at all. It definitely made dinner plans easier as I hadn't had a lot of calories for breakfast.
  4. My birds are already costing me a fortune, coz I'm such a softie I buy wild bird feed to feed the sparrows, wrens, robins and starlings. Oh and two collared doves and a black bird I've named Jeff.
  5. There's different types of dumping. If you eat something sugary and in a very short time you feel flushed, nauseated, want to lie down etc. then I wouldn't add sugar to the equation because it will make you feel worse and exacerbate the problem. I'd go find somewhere quiet to rest and ride it out. If, on the other hand, you haven't eaten something for a while, after having something carbish a few hours ago, and you start to feel irritable, shaky, can't concentrate etc. then having a *small* amount of immediate release glucose (eg a couple of jelly beans, a small glass of juice) will treat the hypoglycaemia. Perhaps he only calls the first thing actual dumping.
  6. Oh I love watching lipoma removals on Dr Pimple Popper's Youtube channel. Very satisfying!
  7. Looks like you're having a ball! I'm so pleased Ireland is giving you lots of NSVs. I'm a wee bit biased but I do think it's a magical country!
  8. Yeah paracetamol (Panadol is the brand name) is what you want.
  9. Is that what those hard lumpy bits are? Mine don't hurt though.
  10. Well done for coming as far as you have. That takes guts! No judging here. There is none of us that don't struggle with something and I can only laud someone who takes their struggle seriously rather than hiding or denying it. More power to you!
  11. Oooh they're supposed to be spectacular! I'm jealous, I've never seen them. Have you done a hop-on hop-off bus tour in Dublin? That's good fun!
  12. Good news is, I'm back on plan today. I made prawns with a tablespoon of leftover aubergine pesto that was in my fridge. Steamed up some brocoli and Brussels sprouts then when the prawns were nearly done, put the veggies in as well and stirred it all around with the bit of pesto. It was actually pretty tasty. Soz no pics.
  13. Oh that's hardcore! Man you must have balls of steel!
  14. IKR! When my face is fat I look like his mother lol, now that it's slimming down, I look like him waaaaaaa. I have never looked like my mum. She's skinny, super-fit, short spikey hair. Noone ever thinks we're related.
  15. Oh gawd, I did it even though I KNEW I shouldn't. I ate a whole pack of crisps (not them teeny weeny ones either) and boy am I regretting it now. Ohhhh deliver me from my bad decisionsssssssss.
  16. They really do need to come up with a decent atheist festival
  17. I'm looking more like my father and I'm not happy about it (sorry dad)
  18. I flew home a few days after surgery (Belgium to Ireland which was only just over an hour). Make sure you wear the stockings though, you want to avoid deep vein thrombosis.
  19. Woot! What a difference a year makes!
  20. It is a it of a mind-bleep that can sometimes catch you unawares. Christmas isn't a thing for me, for obvious reasons, but I have just recently discovered the main reason I liked going to the movies was for the popcorn and icecream. I've had a couple of opportunities to go to the movies post-op and both times they were really meh. Then I realised, I used to get all excited about the popcorn coz that's what movies meant to me as a kid! So it's been a painful realisation that my enjoyment level was so connected to the food part.
  21. Welcome!! Wish the weather was nicer for you but as they say "she'd be a grand country if only they could put a roof on her" [emoji6]
