Same weight 14 days-7 weeks post-op
Water, water, water. I could be that you are eating too many calories. I'm 3 months out and my surgeon has me a 900 calories (I'm still eating 800). How much protein are you getting in? Protein will help in weight loss also. Good luck and be strong.

Nearly One Year Out...LOVING LIFE!
I log everything I eat also. I use MyFitnessPal and so does my doctor's office. Thank you for the inspiration. I do eat so much heathier now and loving it. Sometimes I do snack but not on the right things, so I have crossed off the grocery list the mini rice crisps because I eat too many, so they are gone, band from the house. I walk everyday and am enjoying life more than I have in a long time. Congratulations on reaching your goal. I'm hoping to reach mine close to or just a little after my surgery date.?♀️

Weight Loss Scale
I think the is the right thinking. I do the same. I get so upset (if weighing more often) if my weight doesn't move. So weighing once a week is a very good idea.

Just had surgery
#1 I would talk to a patient advocate about the nurse. They should not be talking about their patients in that manor. #2 Just do the best you can. They can't expect more than your best. It does take time to be able to drink your water. Hang in there, it really does get better. Oh and as for your water, sip, sip, sip.??

Pasta?
I have tried BariatricPal's cheese steak pasta and it was really good. I'm thinking they use the low carb pasta. Give it a try, you can always send it back if you don't like it.

Young, Hungry, & Declining
Hi NikNaks. I am also from the capitol of Michigan. I had my surgery because of my health. I am a diabetic, had HB. I have 2 adult children and would love to see grandchildren. I do miss my burgers and pizza but have learned to say no to all of it. It is still hard but I just try to remember what got me into trouble in the first place. You've got this.

7 1/2 months post surgery. Didn’t think I could do this!
ALRIGHT!! Way to go. I am almost 3 months and have lost 55 pounds. I am walking on the treadmill and through the house. I use a fitbit and keep count of my steps. The most I have gotten so far is 21,000 steps and keep trying to up that every week. Hope you are feeling good about your success. I sure am.

Are you sure that is the right address for "ALM.com?" It took me to Go Daddy.

Relationship issues 2.5 years post op..
No I haven't but you need to make a decision about what is more important in your life. I would never ever tell anyone to tell someone to get out of their life but Emily he is just bringing you down. You need someone who will encourage you and celebrate "YOU." ?

Portion Sizes
I measure out my food and don't eat more than 4 oz. of anything at a time. I is definitely enough and if I tend to eat just a smig more it hurts and I get nauseous.

Smooth Sailing for Anyone?
I have not had any problems at all except constipation and that is because I'm not getting all of my water in. That in it's self is getting better. You will be glad you did this. Good luck in your journey.

How much weight loss in the first couple weeks?
It's not a race, it's a marathon. It's not how fast it comes off but that you are losing the weight. Don't be in a hurry. The slower you lose the better you will be able to keep it off. Exercise when you are up to it. Walking helps a lot. Hang in there, you've got this. ??
