Stomach spasms...the agony
When I left the hospital I had a script for medication to counter act stomach spasms. I would ask your surgeon if you could get one for your stomach.

Pre-Op Stage
When I started my pre-op diet (back in Dec.), I drank a lot of water also, that in itself helped my hunger pains. Ladies you both have this. The end is so worth it. Hang in there you've got this.???
-
So, first post-op visit ONLY 8lbs down..... 32 lbs total isn’t that bad
I also agree. Any amount of weight lost is a great thing.

Just got my surgery date!
You are going to do great. ??

Smooth Sailing for Anyone?
I was sleeved 12/11/18 and have had no problems. If you over eat (filling you new tummy just one more bite) you can feel sick or can vomit. Just mind you P & Qs and things should go well.

To snack in between meals or not to snack
I snack because I don't get enough calories a day. I'm still under 600 calories and my PA wants me to eat at least 600 calories. My tummy doesn't like it when it is too full. I get very nauseous.

Medication
I started as soon as I got home.
-
Medication
I had to completely stop a water pill, fish oil. I am now taking all the rest of my medications everyday.

To snack in between meals or not to snack

December 2018 Sleevers!
CONGRATULATIONS to both of you. ?

Something I read really irritated me...
Even if they did lose it "the old fashion way" they can afford all these trainers and home gyms that the rest of us can't.

Two questions - 4days post op
I would say not to get up in the middle of the night but that is me. I think they got you up like that to help prevent blood clots and to help with gas. I would call your surgeon's office if you are not sure what you should do.

Time it takes to eat food
I take my time because I tend to get sick to my stomach if I eat too fast. Just conscientiously slow down and take your time.
-
It’s crazy the vast differences in plans.
Yes, if I drink to fast or to big of a drink I feel like I have big bubble in my stomach and it goes into my back. Just slow down and take your time. I have only gotten to bottles of water in so far and have only gotten all my protein in once. Still haven't gotten all of my fiber in. I am 3 weeks out today.

I turned 63 the day of my surgery (December 11). I am almost 3 weeks out and have lost 29 pounds. I'm just happy that the weight has started coming off.

Totally Zone Out
Okay I had to laugh because that was funny.

Totally Zone Out
Has anyone ever been so zoned out before surgery that they don't remember a thing? When they got ready to take me down to surgery I was given an injection of what ever and don't remember being wheeled in surgery, getting on the table. I barely remember someone saying this is only oxygen and that was totally it. I don't remember recovery (my husband said I was in there for 2 hours), I don't remember leaving and taken to my room. I barely remember someone asking me if I thought I could walk to my bed (gurney could not be taken in the room). I barely remember stumbling (I had a lot of help) to the bed, don't remember getting into bed.

I'm not sure when my pureed phase will end. I don't see my surgeon until March. I was sleeved December 11, 2018

Are there a lot of healthy foods you can not tolerate after surgery?
I had the sleeve 2 1/2 weeks ago and have started pureed foods and so far I have been able to tolerate things I have tried.
