Something I read really irritated me...

Recommended Posts

So I was reading about celebrities who had dramatic weight loss and when they were interviewed about losing weight most of them said in response to weight loss critics " I lost weight the 'healthy and old fashioned way',.. this really made me mad. I have tried for YEARS to do it the healthy and "old fashioned way"... surgery is just a tool. Do any of these people realize how insanely healthy we will have to eat in order to be successful? And exercise? Ughh... sorry to vent.

Celebrities Ugh Why do we even care about their opinions in life. These people are told what to say by publicist. Many say they didn't have WLS but they did. Even if they did it the old fashioned way its ok. We all have our own issues...Right? Only thing that matters is you and the people you love.

BTW We do have a rants and rage section on this site.

Even if they did lose it "the old fashion way" they can afford all these trainers and home gyms that the rest of us can't.

Celebrity's views on pretty much everything are distorted by the endless supply of money that most regular folk don't have. They have people raise their kids, cook their food, clean their house etc... We have to do these things ourselves and try to find time to learn and implement the "healthy and old fashioned way of loosing weight" (whatever that is).

Some celebrities are known to lose weight in some extreme ways (fasting for weels/months on end), weird celebrity diets etc. When they say the healthy and old fashioned way, I wonder if they mean I 'calorie counted or just dieted by creating a calorie deficit' as opposed to some weird celebrity diet not as opposed to WLS????

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
