    Feeling hungry

Why am I getting hungry so often throughout the day? I had 75 grams of protein today... my nutritionist said that was a good amount for where I'm at. But I feel so hungry. I'm feeling so frustrated. I read about other people who say they have no appetite and how great it is blah blah blah... I feel dizzy when I stand up as well...and have no energy. I started at 349 and am at 308... I know this may sound dumb or whatever..but I felt so much better before this surgery. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Surprises!!!

I used to love chips and salsa at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I tried one small chip last night and the oil or whatever it was cooked in tasted gross! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Uncomfortable

I had the exact same problem. Sleeping was absolutely awful for those first few weeks. I had a ton of pillows that helped keep me upright. I can finally sleep on my sides without any pain. Before surgery I was a stomach sleeper but I still can't really do it. It will get better each day. I promise!

    that horrible stall

I am 8 weeks and I have been hovering around 307-306 for over a week now. it's been driving me crazy!!!!!!! I think you get spoiled because in those first few weeks you see the scale changing every day and once I started on regular food that is when the stall started. Arrrrgh!!!!!!

    How long

I had surgery March 11. I had excruciating pain following surgery. It was absolute hell. The pain meds only subdued it slightly. I feel 98% better now. Just try and stay on top of the pain with meds as best you can and rest as much as you can. The pain WILL get better. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Just not feeling good

So I was sleeved March 11. I had a really rough go the first two weeks but have felt better compared to then. But I still wake up every day feeling like crap. I don't sleep very well which may be contributing... also my inscisions are taking a long time to heal and they even were leaking a little pus which I'm not sure is normal at 3 weeks out. I find it very difficult to get all my fluids in. It just is so dang uncomfortable. Anyone else feeling blah?? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Fruit!

I am 7 weeks tomorrow. I've had watermelon, cantaloupe, raspberries, blueberries....in very small quantities. I am hyper focused on getting protein in and drinking enough water. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Bowl movement

I couldn't stomach the milk of magnesia....I use miralax that you dissolve in liquid. It has no taste and its clear. No chalky texture or grainy. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Eating woes

I'm on week 5. Soft foods permitted. But I take two or three tiny bites and I have to burp and then I don't feel like eating more...then food gets cold... then I'm hungry again in about an hour and the whole process starts over again! When can I just eat and not be in this horrible cycle?? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

I am a month out and I finally feel mostly back to myself. The first three weeks were the hardest. Dont push yourself..rest whenever you are feeling tired. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Pain Post Op

I was in terrible amounts of pain for close to two weeks. The first week was a scene straight out of hell. My pain was always near a 7 or 8. It never got below that while I was in the hospital. I'm a month out now and my stomach is just a little sore. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    2 Weeks post gastric bypass

I am one month out from sleeve surgery and I still have soreness on my stomach. I use a heating pad and that seems to help some. Someone on here once said that her nurse said to her... you've basically been stabbed 5 times in your stomach. Of course it is going to hurt! You are definitely not alone in the pain department! Soft Food Early

I completely understand!!! I just started week 4 today and I am finally now on soft/pureed foods. For lunch I tried 1/4 cup cottage cheese with 2oz of sliced Turkey and just a few small pieces of pickles. I also added pepper for flavor. I could only eat like 4 small bites, but it was so nice to eat actual food!!! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Introduction

For me, I met with my surgeon on January 8th 2019 and had sleeve surgery March 11. Mine was unusually fast because my insurance did not require any kind of pre surgery weight loss tracking. I think 6 months is very much the norm. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
