Surgery today!!!
Have you taken your measurements and "before" photos? If you're all ready, watch a comedy on tv. Relax. You'll do great. Best wishes for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!

Honestly, my first thought was "Did she have an allergic reaction to the tattoo?"

Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
You mean 4 straight hours of hot fudge sundaes isn't healthy? Damn! I thought I had it figured out! Guess I'll just throw myself out of my 4-hour window!

Sounds like those of us who aren't morning-eaters are still out of luck. Why is it that everyone wants you to eat breakfast? UGH! And I don't think my boss would be good with me eating 3 meals a day at work!

I'm struggling to follow. What are AR and BS?

SHOULD I DO IT?
It's really tempting to buy a lot before surgery, but I'd suggest getting a selection that will last you a week or two, max. There are many stories on here from people who had to give away a load of expensive bariatric foods because they couldn't stand them after surgery - even stuff they liked before. After a week, you'll feel up to going to the store and you'll know what's "sitting well" and what isn't. Good luck!

Mosquito Bites??
One of my boys was very allergic to mosquitos when he was little. Fortunately, he outgrew it. I took him to the dr. once when he was about 2. He'd been bitten on the eyelid. It swelled up until he looked like Quasimodo. Got a lot of strange looks in the waiting room.

FOOD RESTRICTIONS
You're right. You don't seem to have major restriction. But you also eat a lot of slider foods that work around restriction, like cereal, bread, potatoes. Your breakfast, in particular, is totally slider foods so I would expect no feeling of restriction. Are you eating out of hunger or because you need to meet your macros? (Eating out of hunger isn't bad, it just makes for a different answer.) When you eat your meals, do you eat the protein first or do you eat a bit of protein, a bit a bread, a bit of veggie? The protein is what tends to cause the restriction and mixing it with the other foods might dilute that effect. If you don't have much restriction (our bodies are unique) you should not attempt to eat to "full", especially early on. If your pouch can hold 1/2 cup (per whatever your doc says), measure out 1/2 cup and eat that. Eat very slowly and after you eat the 1/2 cup, wait a bit. If you are still ravenous, eat a bit more, but always keep in mind the capacity of your stomach. I have swallowing issues and virtually all the foods I eat are sliders. Therefore, I hardly ever feel restriction. So I know what I'm talking about here. Good luck and I hope this helps. btw, I googled that bread and it looks delicious!

Hair loss...
Those are some of the hypotheses, also the stress of major surgery. But, to the best of my knowledge, they don't have a definitive answer. Most of the people on here were already taking vitamins before their surgeries.

Hair loss...
Not everyone, but it is very common. Congrats to you if you miss this side effect!

Flinstones multivitamins??
Well, since my husband is cooking spare ribs for dinner, I'm the wrong one to ask! Hope someone else can give you helpful advice.

I read the book, hated it. Nothing blew up. Yeah, I'm shallow. I know and I need constant, over-the-top entertainment. No chick-flicks for me.

Flinstones multivitamins??
Surprisingly, 2 Flintstones Complete/day meets almost all of the values above and exceeds several. Since I eat a pretty balanced diet, I assume that vitamins are just insurance, anyway.

Assumptions
Well, there's always the assumption that WLS is driven by vanity, not health. Whereas I've found for most people it's about long-term health and looking better is just a great perk.

One of my boys went to ComiCon dressed as Slender Man. Was a major pain to pee wearing a full body suit under a suit! He got some great pics, though!

I can’t date overweight people
Unlike many people on here, you and I live with other full-grown adults who make their own food decisions. Maybe it doesn't bother you when your son brings something very unhealthy into the house, but I admit, it makes it very hard for me. When one of my boys made fried chicken the other night, I ate a small piece. I shouldn't have; it makes it harder for me to stay on plan. Having four other, non-obese people in the house means I have to face temptation every single day and it sucks. Ryan, I get what you're saying about avoiding people who eat poorly or are inactive, but there are plenty of normal-weight women who will present the same unhealthy temptations as overweight women. You might actually do best finding a compatible person in the support group meetings for WLS. They are chock-full of people who are trying to eat healthy and exercise more.

LAST FEW DAYS BEFORE SURGERY---AM I TOTALLY READY?
I don't know how I managed to stay modest after having 4 kids, but I did. In fact, when you have twins, anyone who's not busy on the floor comes to watch. There were probably a dozen people with a bird-eye view of my hoo-ha, by the time I delivered. For all I know, even the custodian got an eye-full!

Losing while eating???
Almost everyone hits a stall when they change phases. It's perfectly normal, though annoying. Just stick with your plan and the weight loss will start up again.

Just saw it this weekend: Deadpool 2. Absolutely laugh out loud funny if you're into that kind of movie. (We are.) One of the few sequels as good as the first movie. And yes, they are comic-book characters, but this is NOT a family-friendly film! Do not watch with your 7 year-old. Absolutely nothing in the film to trigger food cravings!
