  1. So your golden milk is green? Tumeric question - I've read that the benefits are only from cooked Tumeric? Yes or no?
  2. Your safest drinks will be wine, or alcohol with a sf mixer, like vodka & soda w/lime twist or whiskey & water.
  3. OK, you guys, STOP IT! I'm at work! People will wonder why I'm laughing! I'm an accountant, for friggin's sake! We don't have a sense of humor!
  4. Congrats to you both! Well done!
  5. Please don't send us to the naughty chair, Fluffy!
  6. My goodness, that takes dedication!
  7. I'll bet it's the steroids. They're famous for weight gain.
  8. Absolutely! Make blended protein shakes. I can't handle the thick texture, but it may be perfect for you.
  9. You must have an iron sleeve! It would literally take me all day to eat one slice! No joke!
  10. Your stomach is so swollen that the liquid is trying to find a path through. What you hear is it dribbling through the tiny openings left between the swollen parts. It gets much quieter as you heal.
  11. Oh, I don't hate you, but I will confess to profound jealousy! I knew we had similar tastes!
  12. Well, if any of you world travelers decides to check out Angkor Wat, Cambodia, let me know. It's #1 on my bucket list and hubby says "No way in hell!"
  13. I'd never seen that drummer before. He used to be with Motorhead, (I think). He was phenomenal! It has been sooooo long since I've been to a concert where your bones vibrated with the music. Loved it!
  14. There are a lot of great people on this site. Someone is almost always there to help
  15. Just keep a list of all the things in life that will be better or easier after the surgery. Have another list of the problems you have now and how you expect them to progress if you don't have surgery. That should help keep everything in perspective.
  16. Don't worry about chicken this early on. Try again in a month or so. Chicken (especially breast meat) is one of the more difficult proteins to handle.
  17. Best wishes for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!
  18. I have Cigna. Approval took about 10 days. Surgery was scheduled about 2 weeks later. Good luck!
  19. Which one? The nosiest? The noisiest? Oldest? Quietest?
  20. I was absolutely dreading her visit, but if ever your spouse is going to stand up to Mom, this is the time. I wanted her to know because she was going to be staying with us at the house and it would be pretty obvious. I hope your MIL can be a bit nicer, too. (Sheesh, you'd think you were asking for a kidney or something, huh?) I hope your visit goes well.
  21. It's fairly common early on. You may still be swollen. Even though the foods are soft, you may have to add a little sauce or some type of moisture to them.
  22. Totally off topic, but - love the new avatar! Lookin' good!
