  1. I eat Pure Protein bars. They are 20g of Protein, around 200 calories. In the beginning, I'd eat 1/2, then a couple hours later eat the other half. They're easy to bring to work and keep in a drawer.
  2. 'Cause of all that Smooth Move Tea!
  3. First, get well soon. Hope the healing goes quickly. Secondly, I think we all go through this at times, where eating is almost a compulsion. We just need to shake it off and get back in the game.
  4. OK, not only are you waaaay more uninhibited than I, but majorly coordinated as well!
  5. Omgosh, you're brave. I haven't tried more than about 1 square inch of bread since my surgery. I'm the queen of scaredy-cats! But I am soooo craving a grilled cheese sandwich. Maybe I'll make one at bedtime ? so if I get sleepy, it's a good thing!
  6. I was really tired for the first month or so. It takes your body a while to reconcile itself to the new eating regimen. It was much happier with all the easy-to-burn carbs, and plenty of them! Once your system gets used to burning fat, you'll feel better.
  7. Wanda's right. The liquids will go right through your pouch. No problem here! (Merry Christmas!)
  8. Maybe? Well, it's mid-day on a Wednesday. Great time to put in a call to your surgeon's office and ask!
  9. That's gorgeous, love the color!
  10. Since you're having trouble at night, ask if you can take the acid reducer at night instead of morning or even twice a day.
  11. Do you take them twice a day? Do you drink a lot shortly before bed? How late is your dinner? Sorry about the 20 questions, but I'm kind of a subject matter expert on heartburn.
  12. It all depends on how I feel about myself that day. Some days I love compliments, other days I cringe.
  13. Some doctors automatically prescribe 1-3 months of acid reducers after was to help your stomach heal. Ask your team. Good luck!
  14. Gee, Fluff, tell us how you really feel!
  15. Welcome and best wishes for a speedy recovery!
  16. Get back to weighing/measuring all food and logging all day, not just until about 3.
  17. I would, too, but my bowels disapprove ☹️
  18. Give it a try. If you get gas pains, stop.
  19. We moved to Texas in '72, so I was here for the heyday. It's just that southern home-cooking is nothing like northern home-cooking
  20. As a transplanted Yankee, I never understood the appeal of Luby's. I didn't like their food at all. That said, Kitty may claim to be from SoCal, but she seems to have a strong affinity to deep south eating! I think she's got some Southern roots in her family tree!
  21. @sillykitty ? Your attempt at the veggie tray was LAME! Even for you!
  22. I so wish they could've operated on our brains, rather than our stomachs. We treated the symptoms, not the cause!
