Some nuts, some surgeon's don't believe in those. They believe a low cal low carb diet, eating healthily prior to surgery is more important. You may have booked with one of that variety, if not they will let you know well ahead of time! Don't sweat the small stuff, as you get older most everything does turn into small stuff!

Did mine an entire month, August, lost 15 pounds. That's the high function autie in me, when I committ I do so with a ferciousity. Nothing distracts an autie when we are centered. At any rate, my liver decreased approx 15% from its high NASH-hood, easier for Dr Needleman, my surgeon and much easier on me. FYI your liver decreases 2.4% for every week of liver-shrinking diet, and yes it is a Royal pain in the tookus!

I often think Someday I shall be smaller than the unforgiving public's minds. For what seems like a lifetime I have been judged by the fat shell that they see. And some days I would like to be a little revengeful. There was a guy I was sorta interested in, overheard him tell a friend" I would date her in a ?beat if she didn't outweigh me!", you just wait Mr Bozo, I'm dropping weight like an anorexic sailor, and the day may just come. Then when YOU hit on ME, I'll say " Nope no thank you, I believe I CAN DO BETTER THAN YOU! Just had Keflex for an UTI, didn't notice anything significant, no loose stools, some antibiotics give me a rash but I skited through This Time!

Hey news flash , I think I am ready to diminish a size, only took how many pounds? if you go back to my highest till now, 90 pounds ? Went from tightly wearing a 26-28 to loosely wearing a 26-28. And that tain't fair, I know I have lost weight, when I look in the mirror, my face to me looks gaunt, remember I lived at Chubby&Tubby a LONG time. I have no more double chin, my neck is looking like a turtle' s emerging from my shoulders, my collarbone stick up further, I am looking my A**Padding, some chairs I can sit on only SO long. Yeah, exercise freaks "Get Up and Move Around" would if I didn't burn up my calorie reserves, meager as they be, I fear keeling over, falling and busting a bone or 2. Look how pew poor and slowly I am healing, do I really need fractures also. My stomach is even flabbily decreasing in size, I no longer get stuck in chairs with side arms, that was embarrassing having Tomkitten pull and pry me up , and some even made a sucky noise as I released. Of course there are still some the wrong height, New homes thresholds I have to have help getting in , not so much weight as 2 knee replacements, 85% as good as natural and NO PUSHING POWER to lift me,up. Told Landlord I am going to need new steps , porch or a landing to accommodate me. Gonna give him a couple months, no motion and I sick the Ohio Department of Aging on him. Maybe first of December I buy myself a grab bar for the bathtub, a rubber mat so I don't slip, that way I don't HAVE to sit on my shower chair. I would like a stand up shower again. I think they must have re-glazed that tub. Oh well only been here a week and half, how much do I muddy the waters? At least it isn't an upstairs apartment , that would have been worse!

Popsicles, sugar free popsicles. And,I prefer the tropical,ones, not so SWEETIE, al though the others are okay.

I love my prenatal ones, easier to swollow, very reasonable pricing. I remember the ones I had while carrying my 3 children, big horse pill sized, curious for my daughter they were a light rose pink, for both boys a sky blue, don't if that orgenes determined things but isn't it odd? At any rate,my current ones are a mustard yellow , small ovals and easily pass down my throat. My trick? Small sip of liquid, toss pill in and let it float down as you swollow. And they have the iron we all seem to need. Still on Zofran 3 times daily for nausea, goes hand-in-hand with strictures, Carafate every 6 hours around the clock for. ulcers, with my other meds it keeps me busy, but it beats being dead all hollow. And as I lose weight the future pallbearers will be so grateful, won't have to,employ power lifters anymore! Do,it is still gonna be a bee-yutie- ful life just gotta give it a while to get here!?☀?

Why would I want an surgery that would worsen my GERD? Why would I want to throw away the vast majority of my nautral stomach to do it? Oh a stricture is not fun, won't tell you it is, but still is far better than dieing on an operating clinic table at the Cleveland Clinic , my 1st cousin JuneEllen , GERD can lead to Barretts Esophagitis which can and often does lead to Esophageal Cancer. I have an aortic root dilatation, one of the facets I passed on to my son, I have a very good cardiologist who's keeping an eye on my cardiac health. I married a man with hereditary kidney disease in his family tree, my 2 remaining children get checked often, but my family tree is not straight trunked there either. One first cousin almost lost a kidney because of a kinked kiney artery, his daughter had also problems, so did another first cousin in California's son. Both my parents had 3 kidneys, as do I. And all my kidneys are functioning right now but have an urologist watching mine. I tease him and tell him. he's" on retainer" but he is very good. It is nice to be able to joke about such things. My PCP gets peeved with me Cholesterol-low side of normal Thyroid -a little low but doesn't need replacement yet BP- low normal Heat rate nice and smooth Lungs-asthma, some COPD, and sleep apnea. My dad had it bad, look up Pickwickian syndrome, this is the type of apnea surgery doesn't cure, if so, Uncle Snuffly and I have been a couple for over a year, have him on as I text . RosieT I wish I knew, I am growing weary of this alln yeah someone is going,to say " You,knew this wouldn't be easy" and sure we all,innately know this. But you know, we all book for the easiest smoothest path to our future. Nobody wants or desires a stricture. Especially with the ulcers I have attending You get pain, Is it hunger, has your pouch got empty, is your stomach spasming, is it the ulcers being tender, is there some residual gastric acid production,? Yeah no real reflux. but if you don't eat something at the right interval, when you do eat you will vomit it up anyway. In the old days the consul was Let your stomach rest, but it doesn't work that way for me. So I walk around with a bottle of Acai Grape by Nestle, keep sipping, got to keep the kidneys flowing. IDK I get so perplexed.

Deflating and not nothing else 278 pounds and I deflate daily, my problem? Whole lot of me to deflate, a little here, a little there, and hopeful,it will all add up enough that it will be noticeable. ???
