  1. A very loving and lovely, time to do things. You will forever have a? Valentine's Day where your dreams came true!
  2. Holidays are beautiful , aren't they? And now this year they will be even more beautiful. May everything go smoothly, and may you have a wonderful future ahead÷???
  3. Good Luck, Good Surgery, Good Healing, keep us updated on how things go!
  4. And I had an endoscopy scheduled for December 28th with my Doctor Noria. OSU called and canceled it today. Apparently they want a good 6 weeks of TPN before they do another Look-See, so idiot have to return to Columbus until January 15th when I see Dr Needleman again. See I will be having 14 hours on, 10 hours off daily, must be doing me good?
  5. Outstanding my Friend! Now on towards Your Surgery!
  6. ? the Butternut Squash Yes soup. One of the few real-type foods Precious Pouch accepts willingly.
  7. Good to know, maybe I was just being an alarmist. Or maybe I'm an old worry-wart!
  8. Yep, a lot of people complain about breath/ taste in ? mouth. Mine is even weirder, although I did find someone else. Armpit odor, like rotten onions decomposing, nobody around me has complained, maybe because I keep my arms down, no flailing around like a cheerleader?but while I was the old rotund Frustr8, put my antiperspirant on in the morning and was fine all day. Not so now!
  9. Oh that is so true, from some I have read I'm not sure if they are on the same Planet, let alone same surgery!
  10. Maybe, just maybe, you are starting to burn off your fat reserves. It is called ketosis and can be a? bear to go through.
  11. Not knew, KNEE, one in December 2014, one in February 2017. And they never will be as strong as a natural one, about 85% efficient but still better than before the operations. Each of us has some weak points, but we learn to handle and do it with grace.?
  12. Well I have had 2 knew replacements, arthritis since 25, and one of hopeful thoughts is I might be able to stop having joints replaced with less weight load crunching and destroying my cartilage padding. You're my buddy from thick into thin, okay?
  13. I don't even get the chance to dump, too busy errping up. My surgeon said yesterday keep trying gently to eat, but if that fails the TPN should sustain you, just keep up with meds, vitamins and minerals also. Wasn't planning such a pist-surgery life, but this journey is MINE even if it isn't a straight line to where I am going!?????
  14. And just think @Greenbean, since you will be a RnY, you truly will be our French Green bean. Pretty cool!
  15. Excellent Point Lady Sin, what if he did this to your friend or daughter? Could you accept this happening to them?
  16. Ah I'm sure you won't, I still feel that way, I'm 14 weeks out today , actually been on this diet with a few modifications since I started my liver shrink August 1st, but then I am so special I shine, you wo t have the sorrows I have encountered. Few if any RnY do, still my 2 surgeons Dr Needleman and Dr Noria believe they can "fix" me, I believe in them, know they have my ultimate wellfare at ?, we are in this the 3 of us until a victorious finish. No matter how long it takes I am staying the course! Currently have a PICC LINE in, being fed 14 hours a night, to ensure the ulcers that popped up post my surgery heal up, and I will retain this line until the proper time., even if it is well into 2019. Hey if you feel like talking more, or just need a friend, I'm here. Think of me as a Village Elder, if you like. But with all my personal pitfalls, I shall never regret my RnY, I believe it was a lifesaver for ME!???
  17. It is hard to regard a weight scale as a fitting gift. When I have owned them , they always had a nasty smirk and ridiculed me. Perhaps if I invested in a digital one its attitude toward me would be better. Ah we shall see, but at this point I am satisfied to be weighed at doctors offices even if it turns out to be only monthly !?
  18. High Na(Sodium) diets put you at risk for kidney stones. This kind of Pica is also common if your are anemic. How are your Fe(Iron) levels?
  19. If you go, try to find someone who is highly bariatric competent. We are now different beasts and "one size fits all "may not fit you. I have a PICC LINE because my gastro- intestinal system needs the rest to heal and I could not get enough protein by mouth to heal. All our cases differ but still there are a few truths to be found. Your quality of life is becoming untenable. You should not have to live like this.
  20. If " Ifs and Buts" were fruit and nuts-- We would all have a lovely??? Christmas! ---'Unknown
  21. You will do well with at your right time, THE Marine. A thought for you Life is not about finding yourself as much as creating yourself---- George Bernard Shaw. So you will be a a new , renovated. and wonderful Marine, stay strong ,proud, and committed!?
  22. And a thought to sustain you It is never too late to be what you m8ght have been---George Eliot?
  23. Chat up Rebchief if you get a chance,He's in Macon so he speaks Georgian very well. Besides he seems like a nice guy!
  24. Wow James, you are psychic! I looked through my meds and I have an in-date bottle of Ranitidine from my gastroenterologist. Thanks, it may be a successful tool to add. Doing pretty well with my PICC LINE and TPN. And as long as that profits me also, I am not going request its removal, each lab has been very well. But it is quite an? experience thus far!??
  25. Scary Larry situation Alex, so glad to know BatiatricPalMx is not one of " those type" places. You and Dr Illian have worked hard being on the "up and up", Thank You for providing us such a Resource.?
