  1. The patch is probably scopalamine, Good for nausea. May give you blurred vision, when you remove it , wear Gloves. Good stuff but an ornery dude.
  2. Some of the borderline, if you can thin down or puree the snarf out of them, try gingerly, just a baby spoon and slowly. If you can get away with it, Bazinga! My program says it must be thin enough to go through a funnel. My dietician Roy( yeppers- I do have a Guy Dietician!) says If you have to chew--- its not Stage #2. But you would not want to be like your Auntie Frustr8, I swear I am the only person in the world? who has been on a liquids diet since I went on Liver Shrink August 1st, 20 lousee weeks. But thanks to my TPN I am getting better, once my ulcers heal better and the internal swelling goes down, I will make up for lost time. Regrets, no ma'm because of I had continued obese I could be dead, I have lost weight, down easily 50 pounds since surgery and the TPN is minor inconvenience compared with death. And I still can be hear enjoying everyone's successes.!????
  3. RTYD, rock the Yultide Dear, and best wishes to Stu the Tree,?may He Grow Straight and Tall! Gee, you said you doubted you'd have babies, I think you've become Adoptive Mama to Stu! And at my age it's ROFLDMP, rolling on the floor laughing, dampening my panties, Ah the Burdens of Age!
  4. @ipixie I sure hope that this gets better. Get the Cushings under control, you can worry about bypass reversal at a much later date. Did you remember President John F Kennedy also had Cushing. Yep he did, pretty famous company to be traveling in. But I'm sure you just would rather not.
  5. So your "Ex" left to " Find Himself"? Does he really think he is worth the search? And he didn't feel lost until you committed to weight loss? What a 14 carat Bozo he turned out to be! What is the male equivalent of" Bye Felicia," maybe" Bye Feliciano?" Now he has shown his true colors and they look murky to me! Just Saying!
  6. Does the 16 toed troll have a father, uncle, brother? You know, I just might be interested.
  7. BODY, after we lose our weight we are no longer shaped like a? box, or worse a shipping crate!
  8. Frustr8 replied to RayLandry's topic in The Guys’ Room
My surgeon Dr Needleman summed it up pretty well ! After your surgery you will become a "Cheap Drunk" , a medicine cup of alcohol will do you,in, so It's really not worth it to you!?
  9. Good frame of mind, I like it. I keep considering sending my picture in to Bariatric Pal, but I have resisted, see I was told so long I was obese, ugly and no one would want to look at me, pictures were prideful that I can't believe anyone would want to see mine. So Looly you look with "fat" eyes I guess I'm still looking with "ugly" ones. But the Fat Shell is cracking, at this point I think I still resemble my dead Mama but surely by Spring I will look younger, maybe I'll get brave then!
  10. I have thought about doing Ancestry.com, 23 and Me, that sort of thing. Maybe it would be interesting to find out if my ethnic heritage is what my family has always told me. But one of my friends said it is a very bad idea, once they have your genetics on file there could be repercussions or it could be used against you by government, insurances, you might find out the man who raised you is not your biological father. One lady on Megan Kelley found out her mother was really black, she had turned her back on her family, her heritage and passed as white. Is sending a testube and swab of saliva going to really open a can of worms I won't be able to control?
  11. And I went back to my prenatals, small, only need one a day, a little water in the mouth, toss it in and down she floats! Nice, easy and it's over until tomorrow! Loathed Flintstones taste, hated grinding pills, thought Bari-Melts weren't all that melty, felt like flavored sand in my ?, a complication I did not need. Only concession I still make is dissolving my big White Carafate into a slurry in a medicine cup and drinking that.
  12. And I was a great bread baker, maybe not at the artisan level like Green Tealael but pretty good. So now if I make any it will go to friends for Christmas, just another of the things I don't do to keep losing and getting more healthy.
  13. Sideeye the saying is: Your mind keeps writing checks your boxy can't cash. My mind tries to tell me, you're over 3 months past surgery, YOU CAN surely eat that variety of food, but with my ulcers and pouch stenosis I really can't, and urping is NO Fun. Finally I have had to cycle back, let the TPN sustain me and only take by mouth the liquids and runny purees it can handle. And trust I will heal before long. But I was a prideful beast, I didn't have red hair for nothing. And I remember my paternal grandfather, his saying was: Them that don't listen. got to feel. My 2 bariatric doctors did give me good advice after all.???
  14. And after your surgery and you need to walk, you will have an built-in exercise buddy in your pup?. Center on the good things of life, you have your girls, you have your pup, consign the significant other to Hades, let them work in Satan's countinghouse where accounts never balance! You get,on with YOUR LIFE and rock,it to the top of Mount Everest and back down again. Be the Strong Survivor I k,ow you can be!?
  15. And your body may have broke down more, yeah you do still have youth on your side but even young people can have problems. I started seeking my surgery, over 3 years before I received it, wish mine had gone quickly and I got my surgery,in 2015 or early 2016, but when I finally got it, I am a better person for it, but having trouble recovering, hard to keep ducks in a row when they have minds of their own and want to wander! But slow and steady, and,I'll make it,to the finish line. But never will I regret my surgery except I regret staying, obese through so much of my life.
  16. Different facets of you recover at different rates, so it all depends on what portion of YOU we are addressing.
  17. Yeah, I was wondering too, with all the strikes the world?levied against me, I STILL. got mine!
  18. And may everything go super super good! Update us when the " DEED" is done and you're starting,on the Recovery Road!?
  19. And much Good Wishes being sent your way! May 2019 be the year where dreams come true???
  20. Maybe you'll be a 2 month old horse by Spring? Foals are so doggone cute!?
  21. Sounds like things are working well for you! Congratulations and keep it going!?
  22. One of my friends, I swear in my town there are only 2 others, both sleevers, said when she lost and degree it came back in wiry and looked weird with her natural curls, the other said hers came back baby fine. Does it vary, that much just like our weight losses are individual??
  23. Drink down those fluids and get to feeling better soon!?
  24. I think I will continue doing them on the 5th of the month, since that was my surgery day. Other good times might be 1st day of each month or the day of the week, my own was also 1st Wednesday.
  25. And on December 26th( which is also My Birthday) I will be praying all goes well for you! ?Keep us updated on this journey!???
