  1. We almost to the wonan, reach a point where we can say I FEAR SURGERY LESS THAN I FEAR TO CONTINUE AS I AM! if you too have reached that point, then proceed. At 35Bmi if you are encountering resistance from a surgeon regarding a VSG, please consider an ESG, my friend LynnV in Dayton Ohio had that in September(I think) and doing wonderfully well, great weight loss, feeling like a Healthier Queen of her life.
  2. Hello, I am back to 1 oz medicine cups to get my fluids in, anything approuching a normal sip, either extreme pain or it reflexes back up. Undoubtedly I am still swollen internally, but am praying that the therapies I am following are starting to heal the ulcerstions et all.
  3. GGLFH, OMG I am so so sorry to hear this! Are you and Andrea? still together, if so I'm sure she is helping you through this twisted and tortued path. Yes- your Mama would be very proud of you, if you remember from before, I always felt she was one of your most committed supporters. And you should dedicate each, pound lost to her memory, because if there is a Heaven as I was taught, she is watching and smiling, maybe telling the other angels " Look, that is MY BABY GIRL. Look how wonderfully she is doing. I am so proud." USALLY I agree with Orchids and Dragons, we have become very close Bariatric Pals, but we no longer all like to eat, I am an exception, & perhaps I too will need therapy. Today I do not care if I eat again. So often when I attempt I urp up or vomit. I have had a PICC LINE in since November 29th & at the least it will be in until mid- January. 14 hours each day I am fed by TPN, so I have 10 free hours when I do not wear a backpack, with my pump and feeding solution in it. I try to do my household duties then, shop if necessary. I tried to speak with my surgeon and dietician about this on December 17th, they were rather dismissive, "Don't worry, it is because your getting sufficent calories from the liquid feed" but I have a deep-seated conviction they may be wrong. So I will reach out to my surgeon one more time on January 15th, if necessary make him sit down a minute instead of him being a Doorknob Doctor, one hand on the door knob so he can keep moving. I hate to sound whine-like but HE IS Not Addressing my needs! I have lost 50+ pounds since surgery in September but just now starting to go 8nto a smaller size. Lost weight in arms , neck, shoulders , face firsts Now tummy, thighs , blobs and rump are finally, following up. They always say as you lose you start looking like a younger cuter version of yourself, not ME- look like,my Mama and my Aunt Grace and they are long-dead. But Good to hear from, you once again!????
  4. 2 Things I asked for: World Peace & someone to shut down Donald J Trumps Twitter Account, neither seem achievable this morning!
  5. Can't prove it by me, I keep reverting back to the 1 oz medicine cups when all else fails or i "urp"myself into near Dehydration! I keep thinking I am a people but maybe instead a ? or other flora!
  6. Both ,although I believe RnY bypass more. The more you learn the more you need to learn, only the outside world thinks this is the "Easy Way Out", we, who have done,or are doing it know BETTER!
  7. According to my acwaintance " David" a New Guinea retired Headhunter and former Cannibaln Americans are not fit, for, human Consumption. We have too many hormones, DDT and other things trapped in our flesh and body fat, we make Cannibals very very sick. Asked him if he ever gets homesick, said he goes to Tony Roma and orders a rack of BBQ spareribsn you see ,due to an omnivorous diet we taste like pork, our nickname is "Long Pork:, if cannibalism could afford commercials WE ARE THE OTHER WHITE MEAT. This means I'm not too worried about a Dragon chasing me with a bottle of Heinz, or Hunts? Ketchup!
  8. And 2019 will dawn a Banner Years for all of us! The old saying is- What does not kill me, only strenghtens me , could be true but I do reserve the right to be POed and scream!
  9. And I hope our friendship helps you feel a little less alone! I see by,your last posting that the end,of November you had 3 weeks,to go until surgery, so did you have your surgery @ Lost One and how are you doing NOW?
  10. Positive Things at 4 AM I am warm I am safe and loved I have the freedom to be what I can want to be, even when it seems difficult Although I am having gastrointestinal difficulties, until they resolve I can receive my nourishment through my PICC line and TPN I haven't thrown up since yesterday so today can be a better day So no matter how this Saturday in. December finds me, I am still alive and grateful to Ohio State University, Bradley J Needleman MD and Bariatric Medicine for a future. And I am grateful to my RnY surgery, even with its flaws , it has been my third best tool, behind commitment & Belief in ME for success out of sorrow! SO I AM TRULY A VERY BLESSED 73 YEAR PERSON WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE!?❤?
  11. Almost sounds like you were built with an internal strainer, doesn't it?
  12. OMG Lucyelle, I am so sorry such a nasty thing happened to a nice lady. You will still have this victory, the best revenge is to not let him ru8n your life in the future. I wish I could hug you and make it all better! You are stronger and will make a beau5iful life l8he a Phoenix out of the ashes. ai am proud to know YOU.❤?
  13. And may it be wonderful for you, you are setting a wonderful example for your little one as she grows up. Stay well, Live Healthy!?
  14. And did you see @ Angela63 is your surgery month twin maybe? She's seeing her surgeon that day, maybe she will be scheduled yet that month!❤????
  15. And 99.99% of all of them are smooth uneventful times. Surgeries get easier with each year, a lot of advanced from ether and chloroform when I was a wee Frustr8.
  16. And please don't be scared, you have us and we do care! Merry Christmas coming? and A Happy New 2019 will follow and finally. they will get on top of what truly is wrong. I am believing in you and the Inner Strength you have.
  17. But if it takes me until March 2020. YOU will still have me struggling through with YOU! ?&?
  18. Hey darlin' you got to believe in YOU. Look how far you have come, what you have accomplished, you never made it this far to become a failure. There's more there than simple? luck. SO If you're scared ever, reach out on here. There are many veterans who have made through every crisis. They can give you wisdom that has worked for them. And I believe you can't fail if you keep your courage strong.??
  19. Well congratulations, YOU ARE THE FIRST MARCH 2019 to March into Bariatric Pal! You deserve a? trophy for that!
  20. You look very sweet before but now you are a Cutie Patootie. Sit got himself one classy Foster Mommy.
  21. ME Also, helps to make my struggles through life a lot more interesting.
  22. OMG I am so so sorry this happened in your life and to someone you loved so much. There is so much they disregarded as unimportant. And all because he was "obese".
  23. Worked one place, lamb for Easter, Turkey for Thanksgiving, Ham for Christmas. Why did I leave there? They paid pee-poor wages the rest of the time! And FYI my county is the highest sheep producer East of the Mississippi so the mutton wasn't THAT HARD to procure, and I do ?lamb stew in the first place. Carrots, onion and potatoes, umm umm. My grandpa raised sheep so it's like Mothers Milk to me!
  24. And since my September RnY I have had meat twice. 3 tiny shreads of tender Turkey 2 weeks ago and a minimeatball of home- butchered beef a week ago. And that's it, even pureed--- my Precious Pouch repulses it adamently. So be amazed, shake your head but there are ones at the other end of the food spectrum, like ME!
