  1. Good thing you knew to stepback, if you persist you will vomit and as a veteran urp-er it is absolutely no fun. Found out mine was complicated by being strictured stepped back down, but I am taking only a token amount by mouth. Being largely sustained by TPN through a PICC line in my upper left arm, I turned out to be the rare occurance doctors mention in their pre-surgery warnings, frankly I didn't ask for this honor! But it is fixable and my doctors know the interventions to do. Just a matter of time until I am better!
  2. Briswife15 is also A March Forward person, but hers is later in the month.
  3. So how are you@lili@ne after a month out ? Are things going the way that you wanted them to?
  4. Well use this time learning, losing weight and getting ready for your Big Day. I started making Check Off Lists once I knew mine.
  5. Stop waiting around for Prince Charming. Sometimes you actively have to search for him. The poor idiot might be stuck up a tree himself waiting to be rescued. So do what's necessary to doing him.
  6. As you all grow closer to Your Surgery Month May all failure be Behind Success in Front And Luck by Your Side!???
  7. Yeah I would not have had you here to talk to. Your body does have its own wisdom, we just don't pick up the cues or listen very well. I started telling my bariatric team at 2 weeks there was something WRONG, at a month, basically they thought to shut ME up, an endoscopy was scheduled, I was right, they were wrong, I did have a stricture in my new little pouch and multiple ulcerations, been 3 months of repeated endoscopies, medications, going back to liquid diets, removing stressors like tobacco smoke in my presence, adding more medications and finally installing a PICC line, putting me on IV Nutrition, and the story isn't completely over. But I will be better, get better and heal, and I pray to be dancing in the sunlight of better health with all the other Bypassers and sleevers soon. Don't count me out folks, I'm not going anywhere until I gain my ✌ victory! I'm stubborn, red-headed and never accept "No" votes in Life!
  8. Respect my age people- I graduated without the help of Google, Siri and Cortana- and I did it My Way!
  9. OMG I am so glad you got that taken care off Often we say on here " Give it time, you'll be better soon" , but I am glad YOU knew YOU better and had it checked out!
  10. Could you still have gas under your diaphragm that hasn't worked out? And maybe it is re-enforcing stitches that will release. once you are farther along in healing? I seem to remember someone else who had similar and suddenly she felt a big Ping, and the pain went suddenly away and never returned. Last thing I can think of, a pinched nerve and once the internal sewll
  11. Draconian, start thinking instead of the bad, the good, the things you'll be able to do that your Weight may have made difficult, the new wardrobe you may be able to get once you "undergrow" your clothes. Less shortness of breath, not tiring as fast, oh there is a bright New world out there just waiting for a Lusty Draconian Maud to show up, are you going to deny them because of whimwahs, oh I think not! Onward my dear, you are on the Glide Path to Glory!
  12. Glad to hear things are finally smoothing out, yeah surgery even with the best of times " rocks our world" to the very foundations. Glad your path is looking clearer.
  13. Congratulations Carly, I know you will become the Finest Farrier ever!
  14. Great loss Steve, congratulations, you've done hard work to get there!
  15. I hope you do, you could use the supportive affirmation at this time.
  16. If 2 different doctor scales are correct I weighed the same yesterday as I did on December 18th, I think that officially means I have hit my very first stall, since I am sustained on TPN largely, I either delete the one shake or broth I give myself daily or I increase my activity level. Well, I am healthier maybe yesterday is wrong and I pray I really have lost a little more, Tuesday at Dr Needleman's will tell the tale, his is the one I really rely on. I have on a pair of pants that if I hadn't added new elastic would be falling off, maybe I'm deluding myself but I THINK I am getting smaller in measurements.
  17. Saunter not march, it's not like anyone expects you to invade Poland today!
  18. You are in a good frame of mind, I think you will do very well.
  19. As your fat later melts down, your body starts using fat instead of carbohydrates for fuel , all the nasty hormones and chemicals stored there get released also. What is happening is you are in the midst of a hormonal surge, everything is in flux. A wise old veteran described it as Puberty but you usually don't break out, pregnancy but you don't get a cute little baby out of the deal, you get hot flashes and feel bewildered by it all like menopause, and it all happens without warning, surging and making you feel like you are in a whirlpool. I'm well past menopause but it still happened to me, was a blessing I didn't bleed, many of the younger people do. It does get better but it is a roller-coaster of a thrill ride.
  20. Remember if you still look cute at the end of an exercise session you may not be training hard enough.
  21. When people say" My you're looking good today!"I get suspicious. Don't I always? Size should not always equate Beauty. Remember I have seen me naked before, I have lost weight, over a hundred from my all-time high but at least 140 pounds from scrawny and frightenly small.
  22. I see adverts for it constantly, guess they are making money, but I don't know a soul who had it done, I am suspicious, sounds like over- priced mumbo- jumbo to me.. Like the old saying says If it SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE , it usually is!
  23. Yeah they THINK it is their money, but dog-gone it, it is YOUR LIFE you are talking about. You deserve a quick favorable decision and I , for one, hope it goes your way on appeal!
  24. Sounds like you are achieving your goals and doing it right on time!??
