  1. A very nice posting, isn't it?
  2. I'm afraid of bleaching my hair 1, Aunt tried it with my color scheme, she ended up with orange sherbet hair, never bleach if you're a redhead! 2. I probably would resemble a broken-down scrub brush, thick with, just a tuft,on top.
  3. Did you realize it says in the Bible husbands should make their wives morning coffee? Yep it does; HEBREWS
  4. And never too late to be worthwhile, my song? of life is different than many but it's pretty okay. I still can sing ?my melody at 73, it's pretty quiet if you're dead in a grave and I found out I don't want to be THERE yet. I woke up with arthritis. hurting but went and got my Carafate for ulcers, Ditropan for bladder spasms and Zofran to keep the nausea down, laid back down after a potty ?break, got 2 more hours until my TPN is done, I'll see if my leg pain gets better, if not, I'll pop a couple? Tylenol, save the Tramadol and Norco for something more serious. And start to sip my bottle? of Propel, nobody mentioned I would be doing 2 oz☕ cups this far out, but it works out to 8oz per hour, and I'll make my 64 oz today, even if it is in small increments. Snowy snowy here, close to 5 inches, but I didn't plan on doing anything outside anyway. Weighed frolicking in the snow⛄ verses falling, breaking arms, legs, hips, better safe inside than sorrows in the ❄snowdrifts. My bones don't just bend and bruise, they go CRACK and then there is a long ?healing ahead! No Thank You Very Much!
  5. Burping usually means you're swallowing air when you take your liquids and many people don't feel restriction until they get to more solid foods. You're still deep in the learning experience at a month. Its like you do have a tool that no one gives a perfect instruction booklet for.
  6. Oh Heavens yes, a lot of times the surgeon will put extra stabilizing stitching there, and and your swollen flesh will tug at it. I would worry more if you felt totally numb there.
  7. Enjoy it darlin', your body may just be craving it. When I got home from delivering Baby#1 I sat down and ate an entire can of ? pineapple in a single setting, it seemed to be what my body needed too.
  8. Well well well, please try not to wear Bradley J out too badly, Tuesday morning at 11:30 am I have an appointment with him. He and Dr Noria are both wonderful, I will see her the 25th for another endoscopy. See it really is a small ?after all. And they both have been great to know!
  9. Play the disability card, maybe it's only a temporary variety, but post-surgery people deserve. a little kindness and pampering. You have the rest of your life to be strong and self- reliant, don't be ashamed at this point. Bariatric is MAJOR SURGERY, after all!
  10. And also pickle juice is HIGH HIGH in Sodium(salt) , canned enough of them in my lifetime to know. Don't want your electrolytes out of balance at this stage of healing. And 2 Shea is right, full of vinegar(acetic acid) but also full of undisclosed sugar. Do you really want the extra carbs when you're working so hard to lose?
  11. I was born in Newark 73 years ago, when it was Newark City Hospital, I was the longest baby on record, 25 inches long but I was only 7 pounds 12 oz. I must have looked like a mini- basketball player with red-gold curls all over my head. So it is a small world after all. My parents lived on 8th Street back when it was working class white. Still can find my way around town if need be. So where are you having your RnY surgery? I had mine last September 5th at OSU in Columbus and I now live in Mount Vernon, but most of my Daddy's people are still in Licking County. Hey don't be ? worried, you will be fine, and even if you have problems talk with me, I have broad shoulders and I love helping others. So smile, believe in yourself and you will do very good. I promise!!???
  12. No it didn't, poor thing , it wasn't a laughing matter after all. I suspect we were really discussing a HIATAL hernia repair but then I could be wrong!
  13. Are they horribly expensive? Give me some more info, I am a thin haired redhead, this may be in my future.
  14. OSU forbids Bari-patients from pickles for life, maybe I'll ask them why at my appointment this Tuesday. Kimchi, sauerkraut, as far as I know are okay.
  15. Maybe it's just your germ resistance was down and the natural skin flora attacked you, maybe a minute skin hole, once it got in , it was " Hello Sailor" and you were reaping the whirlwind, don't know if there is a difinative answer for it all!
  16. Please keep us updated, I had my first cystic acne flare right after my first baby and it return when I least wanted it. I haven't had any since my surgery but I'm sure it's waiting in the wings, maybe when I meet with my congressman or another inconvenient time. And yes I do know my congressman, no big whoop, he's not even a chairman of any commited. Just just a waste of space individual like many others.
  17. Don't sometimes for lower BMI they recommend ESG instead? I think I read that on one of the past postings.
  18. Any more clothing tricks anyone wants to share?
  19. Are you now off of all these now that you had that pesky Gall Bladder removed? Gosh you have had your H*** already, you deserve a little Heaven now!
  20. So Sarah M has the New Year brought you Mr Right, Mr Wrong or Mr Adequate but still hoping for Better? Or are you just waiting and watching as the Menu of Life passes by in front of you?
  21. And as a widow, if I get the opportunity to Mattress Mambo, I hope I don't have to revert to training wheels, surely I can do it without crashing into a wall or falling off. That would be frustrating and hilarious at the same time!??
  22. Mousecat, you must have some secret compartments somewhere, we both have Tuesday appointments. And our stories are still being written, but neither of us planned on the plot twists we have had. But we're in this to the finish, whatever it will be! Hoping for a Good Tuesday, I'm sure you are too.
  23. And I am trying really hard, because I believe in my future.
  24. Well as long as your surgeon doesn't get P.O.ed , March resolutely into March, your future is waiting there for you to claim it and I'll be waiting on the other side to welcome you to the Losers Bench, we have a spot just your size waiting for YOU!
