  1. As long as they are organic, people will pay!
  2. Airport lounge food Top plate Steamed carrots with pearl onions Bottom Bowl Carrot salad, tumeric bulgar, beet salad, pesto pasta, chickpea salad, grilled chicken, cucumber salad, with a harissa vinaigrette over it all.
  3. That's interesting. I definitely would not get along with your team. I'm not a breakfast eater, and generally can't hit my protein goals without a shake, or some kind of protein supplement.
  4. Looks delicious. Why is your team insistent on you eating breakfast though?
  5. You should start a Blue Apron for Bariatric patients!
  6. Airplane food .... Halibut on some spinach pasta (Halibut was delicious! Totally shocking, lol!) I swear I know this is a Bariatric food forum, not Flyertalk . But when traveling, I rarely eat alone except at the airport or on the plane. Not like I can really take pics at a business dinner. And at home I only serve what I know I can eat, so I have no after pics.
  7. Definitely a double edge sword! In the middle of a self inflicted stall, not hard to understand why!
  8. Ok, good to know, thanks! Maybe I'll actually be home at some point, and I won't be so scared of it. I'm still traumatized by the cauliflower rice I kept reading didn't taste like cauliflower. Lies!
  9. This is not my experience, and I don't know if I'm grateful or resentful! I can literally eat anything, nothing makes me feel ill, at all. If I wasn't so embarrassed, I'd post my MFP log from last week when I was at a trade show. It was literal junk food for 3 days straight. I was 100% fine and loved every bite
  10. Hello ... Checking in! @Matt Z I love that IF is working for you! So awesome your so close to your goal! You can totally do it! @FluffyChix Oh, sorry you're not feeling well! Did the Dr. figure it out yet? Did you go anywhere fun on the BD road trip? Glad though you're down, that's awesome at least! Even if it doesn't make any sense! As for me ... not on vacay yet ... 1.5 weeks away! Busy work travel week. Traveling with someone all week, so no IF, 3 meals a day, plus drinks. Funny thing is it actually feels like it's not all out of control, compared to the last two weeks. Two weeks ago I was eating fried noodles, shaved ice loco moco and mac salad,. Last week I ate everything sold at convenience stores, most especially anything on those rollers (I love roller food, gah!), and a heavy emphasis on pizza and fried chicken as well.. So just a normal breakfast, lunch and dinner schedule with a few drinks feels like I'm behaving, lol. We'll see what the scale says about it when I get back home. I suspect that alcohol might have a bigger affect on my weight than food. But as we know, it's not linear, so it's hard to know for certain.
  11. That's like fine dining pretty .... like $40 price tag pretty!
  12. Yay for cardio!
  13. I have this in my freezer! Honest though, how much like cauliflower does it taste like? I love Gnocchi, but hate cauliflower, so I'm wary!
  14. You'll never have to worry about me stealing your green smoothies! The lamb leftovers would be in serious danger though!
  15. Have you met me?? .... nope, all the delicious lamb, none of the purred green stuff!
  16. You can keep your liquid salad ... I'll take this please!
  17. Hello! Awfully quiet in here .. Well, I have fantastic news! Despite eating like crap for an entire work week .... the scale was down. It was down both Saturday morning and this morning! So, I'm excited to think maybe, just maybe, maintenance won't be so terribly difficult, when I get there?
  18. I travel for work nearly weekly. Same, all of the US, and stay at Marriotts. I started back to work travel at 3 weeks post op. I personally don't worry about it too much. Nearly everywhere has good, lean, protein choices. Sometimes I make good choices, sometime I don't. I have an iron stomach, nothing bothers me, so I really eat everything. Why no red meat?
  19. Alex .... Honest question here. If you have such concerns about Premier Protein, why do you still sell Genepro. The Genepro issues are much more serious, and the company that makes Genepro has behaved seriously unethically, IMO. I also don't think the Premier Protein issues are so terrible. 26-29 g of protein vs. 30 g. That is a 3-13% discrepancy. Although not ideal, not the worst either (i.e. Genepro). And casein & milk protein concentrate vs. whey protein isolate. Are there any studies saying whey protein is superior? Not all of us have bypasses. Even with bypasses, just because casein is absorbed more slowly, does it mean it is absorbed less completely?
  20. My advice is not to buy too much. I bought way more liquid, pureed and soft foods than I even came close to eating. So much I gave or threw away.
  21. Continuing the theme of posting my "bad" meals here, and my "good" meals on the Before and After thread, as to try to limit my corrupting influence (we are all too far gone here for me to worry about j) Various crap at an airport lounge Mini brat in a pretzel bun, chicken nuggets on top of buffalo sauce, steamed carrots, cheese ravioli in marinara @GreenTealael, this lounge was far less fancy than the last! I seem to have a lot more capacity w soft food, than dense protein. I know that is normal, but pretty new for me, when I didn't have a lot of sliders up until recently
  22. I was on and off Depo for years. My favorite bc, EVER. But I got scared off because of the effects on calcium and bone density. https://nwhn.org/depo-provera-and-bone-mineral-density/ Also when I went off depo after 3 years, it took me over a year to get my period back. I didn't like that the hormones had built up in my body for that long. Also if I had wanted to become pregnant during that time.it wouldn't have been possible. I got the Mirena IUD just prior to my WLS. I agree, it hurt like a b*tch, and I have irregular spotting both light and heavy since. But I like that is is the most effective form of bc, and I don't need to remember to take a pill, or go get a shot, etc.
  23. I got this in my fortune cookie today (yes, shouldn't have eaten a fortune cookie ) I don't need courage, I need a flat tummy, non saggy thighs .... sigh!
  24. I agree, that seems unrealistic, and unnecessary on clear liquids.
