  1. That was actually me. My diet is actually quite varied, so it's not boredom, it's just ... I don't know ....
  2. I wish I knew what it will take. I'm just taking it an hour at a time, lol. Today is good so far, doing IF, haven't had anything to eat/drink yet today. Not hungry, and cravings are under control. So, yay?
  3. I'm so sorry you have such a hard situation to deal with
  4. I have gotten them at Wal-Mart & Walmart.com https://www.walmart.com/ip/34-Degrees-Sesame-Crisp-Crackers-4-5oz/38446639 https://www.walmart.com/ip/34-Degrees-Toasted-Onion-Crisp-Crackers-4-5oz/52767844 https://www.walmart.com/ip/34-Degrees-Crisps-Rosemary-4-5-Oz/16940714
  5. Oh man ... I kind of wish I had some sort of external pressure to "shame" me, sometimes.
  6. Moderate IF is really how I am most days with zero effort, going way back before WLS. If I'm not having a work related breakfast, then I generally don't eat until near noon. But, my short term, totally non scientific result, show that IF alone, without moderating what I eat/drink and the cals I take in, does not lead to weight loss, for me. If I get my head in the game. I can eat reasonably well and healthfully for the next 1.5 weeks. I have work travel, but it's not the "wine and dine" variety, so I can control that better. After that it's two weeks, plus a weekend of really challenging eating and drinking due to work and personal commitments, and then pasta/gelato/wine vacation. But although work makes it more challenging. It's really about me recommitting to eating better, and I'm just not there right now
  7. Yeah, and I really like them, especially for a protein product! The 34 degree crackers are really low cal, so I don't worry about them.
  8. That would be a Double Decker Taco. I know this because apparently @FluffyChix & I were both at Taco Bell last night
  9. I definitely count my cheese towards my protein goal. I don't really love a lot of lean meat, so cheese plays an important role in my diet.
  10. I had a lot of hair loss 3-5 months post up. But no one can tell the difference except me. When my hair is down, even I can't really tell. Only when I pull my hair up, and the temples are thin, and my ponytail is 1/2 the diameter it once was, does it become apparent to me.
  11. I 2nd the Laughing Cow wedges. I like them with 34 Degree Crackers. Also, just found the Aldi version only has 25 calories per wedge, vs. 35. (Haven't yet tried them, or compared the size of the wedges.)
  12. I became whey protein intolerant at 4 weeks post op. Different brands of protein shakes, protein powders, protein bars, protein waters, all containing whey made me extremely nauseated. I eliminated they whey protein isolate, switched to casein and soy, and I have been fine ever since. About 6 months later I'm going to test out Premier Protein again, and see if I have gotten over the issue.
  13. If there were hush puppies on the other side .... maybe
  14. PF Chang's again ... but a different meal, different day than the above. Cup of Hot & Sour Soup and Chicken Lettuce Wraps
  15. Only the after with this one, but you get the picture .... 2 pieces eaten PF Chang's Spicy Tuna Roll
  16. More airplane food .... Beef Bulgogi (very inauthentic version, lol)
  17. I started at about 6 weeks, I had no issues with them.
  18. I'm going through a very unmotivated phase right now. I just want to eat food I want and not lean proteins and leafy greens. And I'm paying for it, ugh. I'm up over 4 lbs from my low I'm hoping some of that is from alcohol. I had quite a few beers the other night, that was followed by a late night fast food run. (I was with colleagues, not my idea, but I participated ). I don't know right now, I really don't feel like getting back on the chicken breast train. Doing at least moderate IF is usually pretty easy. I'm rarely hungry before noon. But the whole good choice thing, meh ... So I'm thinking of doing a little experiment. What if I eat what I want for the most part. But I have no alcohol, and make sure I get in my fluids. What will happen to my weight? My cals should still be well under 1000. I'd like to know where I can find that line between losing, maintaining and gaining. I'm not sure why I am suddenly so unmotivated. Is it just "diet" fatigue? Is it typical as people get near goal? Is it because of all the positive feedback I've gotten recently on how I look? Is it because my plastics I had wanted this fall is now postponed until who knows when because of my work schedule?
  19. @FluffyChix first I was a day early, now I'm a day late ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  20. Yes! There are definitely plenty of good choice that can be made at airports. The whole keto trend is good for us bariatric folks, with cheese, jerky, nuts being readily available. But as we know, having good choice available doesn't always lead us to make those good choices
  21. I know the feeling Matt ... hang in there!
  22. So yesterday was not good for eating well, or IF. In a stall, not sure if the poor eating is to blame, or just the timing. Traveling today. Managed to avoid the surprisingly delicious breakfast sandwich on the plane by sleeping through the meal service, lol. So that is one way to do IF. I realize I have some traveling food triggers. For instance if I'm flying out of a certain terminal that has Shake Shack, then I am hungry, where I may not have been hungry otherwise. Another airport, I always have PF Changs, so knowing I'm going to be in that airport makes me hungry. (And I'm usually all about local authentic ethnic restaurants!). I'm not sure what I can do about it, other than white knuckle it, or make good choices, neither are really my strong points. So today will probably be an IF day, assuming my dinner plans aren't too late. Now IF + good choices, ugh, that's tougher!
