  2. Need a vanilla bestie? I'm the same size basically. Still pre surg.but my goal is 175 lbs size 14-16 and neither my Dr Miller nor anyone on Bariatric Pal has said that's unfeasible. Big commitment, but I'm up for it Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. GeorgiDean, I've lived a long time(72 years) and although I am a very nice person there is a little niggling thought inside. Maybe your surgeon sends his patients there first to gauge their commitment to t he whole weight loss process. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Danke u my new friend. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

I screwed up at dieting how so how so how d o I know I won't be a failure and mess this up? The answer believe in yourself the new tool you will have your commitment and the testimony of all these others. God Bless and I'll be watching for your story. 7. Oh Fluffster thanks for downloading my man Ricky Nelson and my favorite of all time songs. Its all right now I've learned my lesson well- now sing the last line with me! I didn't cry when the Big Bopper et all died but I cried 3 days at Ricky's death. Ah the injustice of it all, like a shooting star HE WAS GONE. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Hi Patricia Holland I just saw your post. My grand father in law was from North Holland, great grand mother in law Freislander. My FIL never taught my late husband the language, they must have been too eager to assimilate into the US. Don't worry about your written English-language, I have been trying to,learn basic Dutch, there is no one left of the older generation to teach me. I even had trouble pronouncing gadaan. I wanted to learn because it is a part of my children and grand-daughter's ethnic heritage. I wish I could have met Opa and Oma. I shouldn't be over here although I too will,be having weight loss surgery I will have a RnY in March. I just wanted to welcome you to Bariatric Pal. 9. Some of these dieticians and nutritionists must have taken a semester course in mean and nasty. I'm sure you aren't sentenced to a lifetime of mush and gruel. There are too many things in this life that are colorful, tasty, full of vitamins and minerals and have a texture. As one small, example,i like to nuke a small sweet potato in the microwave, split it open like you would a baked white potato and have at it. And it is a good source of vitamins. 10. Probably depends on your state. Rulings are not always uniform. Yes Medicaid. Does approve but it does depend on your comorbities and probably your BMI also. Were you at this weight when you started? Say you were 270 at the start even if you went down to 250 it would still be okay. Hopefully your surgeon or some of his staff know where to tweak things for the maximum benefit for you. Good luck,on your weight loss journey. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Can you describe exactly how you do this infusion process? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  17. I have had multiple surgeries, like others have said it's smooth, quick and a deep sleep sensation.,i remember a few times being asked to count, backwards. My last time "out" was for my EGD in December. I was laying on my side, IVd, with warm blankies on, I said Hi Dr Mujtaba to my gastroenterologist, nice to see you, the next thing I knew I was waking up in the Ambulatory Care Center room and my procedure was over. Other surgeries I remember waking up in recovery cold and slightly disordinated but I always had nurses and surgical techs,to watch over me, I felt protected, and even loved, like I was the most important patient in the world. Although nothing something you would want to do everyday it's not THAT BAD. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. Viky88 I'm not thru with, surgery just wanted to offer friendship. I'm waiting on an early-mid March surgery but will also,be a RnY. I've been on Bariatric Pal a couple months , have, learned a lot from veterans, and done a lot of research myself. I,have a BMI of 45, am 5ft8in tall, 72 years old and goal weight at this time 175 or size 16,,if I end,up smaller, Halleujah! It will,be a struggle but,oh so worth it. I'm in it to win it, care to join me? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  22. Try to bring home some of the iddie biddy mini medicine cups to start, out with your sip sips. I'm seeing a lot of people saying recently a baby sippy cup is useful. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. As a fellow asthmatic I can tell you steroids are notorious for weight gain. Ah you can't live with them and we can't live do well without them. As the King says in Anna and the King of Siam says " is a puzzlement" Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. Ms Tibbs I have changed my dreams. I now dream of good health, continued lifespan and a more beautiful thinner life. Junk foods], I'm divorcing them. It was a toxic relationship I can do without. Now onward to a surgical change in my life, early-mid March can't come soon enough for me. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. A little more FYI crucify? I draught all my children girl and 2 bous to wipdone that way. Freaked my late husband out when he happened to observe oNE of our sons. I didn't think anything about it, shoot if he wanted to,be in charge of bathroom habits he should have stayed home instead of working 12 and even 15 hour shifts at his office. Second reason if he had the ITIs I've had in my lifetime he truly, would have understood. We, as God's ultimate model with 3 not 2 openings were blessed with a very short urethra so bacteria have an easy march up to the bladder. Hello pain and suffering!
