  1. Welcome to my world, I go so, much you'd think I was a guy with prostate disease. The majority of my problem is: I have 3 kidneys. Its kinda family tradition, both my parents did too. Mamma had a normal on the left and a horseshoe on the right 2 fused so it looked like a giant C, Daddy had 2 normal on the right-1 on the left I am the reverse. Both Daddy and I would have been wonderful potential kidney donors as we had 3 perfect drainage systems. When I had pancreatitis, something nobody would want to have, imagine somebody hits you across the upper abdomen with a cement 2x4 and then sits on it. Gastric surgery can't hurt any worse than that! At any rate, they did a cat scan and said We might have bad news, you may have a tumor on the left side. No I said, its okay that's just the top of my extra kidney. So I have a pair and a spare, the bad news is they all are fully functional so I clear urine 1 1/2 as fast as normal. I am a tinkling machine. They love me for urine samples cause I always have plenty to give. The Bible says we are strange and wonderfully made, certainly holds true in my case. 2. Only other thing besides dehydration is something in your diet, you occasionally get weird shades. And when I get dehydrated the concentrated urine burns and I'm more prone to develop an urinary tract infection. Drink drink drink, keep that critter pale yellow. 3. One of Bomshel ( a country girl duet) greatest hits is Karma is a Female Dog. I can only pray for all the naysayers to get theirs and get it in spades. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. So Rainbow Warrior she is now a Small Shelia? Many congratulations, I dream and hope to be a 16 myself someday. Tell her (what is her name by the way?) that she and you are both an inspiration to me. A skoosh warmer today but it snowed again last p.m. I'm sure I'll be unhappy in 6 months with the temps but I'm tired of winter mow. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. How about me as a RnY? I will have a blind pouch with a iddie bitty anastomosis to my small intestine. 5/8ths of my stomach is just sitting there making digestive juices, they remove most of your stomach and discard it, you litterally become bananarama kids. 6. So one of you is Spartie's daughter and the other? Saginaw makes me think of Lefty Frizzel's song about being the Son of a Saginaw Fisherman. At any rate good wishes to both of you and may we all have surgical success. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  13. Hi Ashara, what a pretty name.I'm a little ahead of you, I have done all my prerequirements, waiting on a call or letter from my surgeon's office, looks like early-mid March for my RnY. That said do you still wanna be friends? I'm a great resource person, according to,my avatar on Bariatric Pal I am a Guru in Training. I take that judgement as a great compliment. Ask me anything, at 72 I have little if any shame. Hope to hear from you soon. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. Hey Brina isn't that the Washington DC suburban county that had the sniper shootings a few years back? Shame for such a pretty place to be known for that alone. Hey no place is immune, several years ago someone in my county (Knox County Ohio;) a guy killed 3 people and stuffed their bodies in a hollow tree. The sick joke that went around: What is he?A demented Keebler elf? Needless to say he is now a permanent guest,of the penal system and never will be released. Hey now that I've brought that up, wanna be surgery buddies? If so here are a few of my basics. 5ft8in, BMI 45, having a RnY early to Mid March, all my prerequirements in just waiting for letter or call-back from my surgeon's office. I will be having my surgery at Mount Carmel,in Columbus our state capital. I'm in it to win it , at the age of 72. Ash me any questions you might want to know, if I don't have an answer someone on Bariatric Pal will. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Raffi you are an Evil little Elk but gotta love you a little. You scared the bejabbers out of someone on.another thread with your cheeseburger joke, he took you for serious. It has nothing to do with Bariatrics but here's one for your collection. Question; when should someone use contraception? Answer: on every conceivable occasion. Stay easy and breezy my little buddy! 21. I'm sure you were asking Glowing up but I'll tell you instead where I'm at. I live in Mount Vernon Ohio 14 miles from Ohio's Geographic Center. I'll have my RnY at Mount Carmel in Columbus early-mid March. Now you both know more about me than you probably wanted to. I have a BMI of 45 and I'm 5ft8in, settled down in old age from 5ft11in so yes my back aches too. I'm 72 but I'm it to win just like everyone else. 23. Kaynga, I was gonna tease you a little, if your surgery,is being done by a Saint,it surely will be blessed. Where is Saint Francis located? My hospital's name,is Mount Carmel so while you're relying on a Saint I will be venturing to the Mount. Bottom line I wish you well with your future surgery. 24. That's why I don't watch porno, sex is fun to do but ludicrous to watch. The cosmos must have a giggle when humans were created. And sorry men but your genitalia looks like a afterthought Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. Slippers if you don't want to wear their nonskid socks when you walk and a small pillow to "splint" your tummy when you cough, when I had my gall bladder lo these many, years ago I even used it while walking. Some hospitals provide a Bariatric Bear, I think Creekimp got, one. If I don't take Chickie my little buddy from back, then I'll go out and get the Valentine pillow/blanket combo from Wal-Mart for about $9. Pillow is heart shaped, about right size and I can always use a blanket to snuggle into. Remember to bring home the little baby, cups,if they hive you any. Those mini medicine cups are really good for sip sips. You are gonna do fine and I' will be sending you healing thoughts your way, tomorrow. . Now get some rest tonight. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
