  1. Bummer sure hope you're feeling better and get your surgery on the 5th of February. Waiting can be the pits. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Well it's my second time trying out got the rodeo. I had at first,United Healthcare and had 5 months under my belt, when my job terminated. Took a while to get my insurance coverage ducks in a row. I went from United,Primary and Medicare Secondary to Medicare Primary,Medicaid Secondary. Medicare, only counted, high BMI as a requirement although,i did have comorbities also. I got all my prerequirements done in 4 months and I'm,waiting for,the surgeon's staff to get their act, together and give,me a firm surgical date. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Oh yeah I get it also. Usually,on the left side of the Dunlap. You've heard that joke that excess belly fat done laps over, that's why,its called Dunlap Disease. Seems like it,sweats or something more there. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Don't be scared, you haven't come this far to stop, you'll,be just fine like Fluffy chix and,i believe. Ms Fluffy is my BBF which stands for Bariatric Friend Forever and her and I together are a force to contend with. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Wonder the hot sauce didn't burn a hole,in your delicate tumtum. Oh well if a pizza smoothie turns your crank,it turns your, crank. You,get a D- for menu selection but a A+ for ingenuity. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Hey guys, want a quick giggle at my expense? Late hubby and I were doing the mattress man no with me on top. Okay I WAS a little smaller then, at any rate we had just gotten a new bed and mattress. No footboard, I catapulted over the end of the bed, ended up on my back, on the floor with my feet up in the air. Kinda looked like a cross between a dead cow and a beached whale. I started to giggle and he told me to shut up before I woke up the kids. Guess he felt his best love-making efforts had been in vain. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Tinkle and poo before you go in and maybe you'll be down that pesky pound. Hey every scale weighs different, your surgeon will probably think that's all it is when they weigh you presurgery. I'm going to have a bypass also, I'm 72, my BMI is 45, 5ft8in tall and weighed 323 when I had to see my PCP last Wednesday for something else. So see I'm not a tiny person either. You are gonna be just fine. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Yeah even Dr Matthew Weiner, who I regard as a super-smart dude, says that. Erinnmc, unless you want to go the private pay route make the right choice the first time. As Mammy Yocum in Little Avnet says "I has spoken!" Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Don't be, you are doing a GOOD,thing for your self. Tomorrow you set,out on a journey to good health. I would trade places with you in a heartbeat. I'm still waiting on my day to come. The dreading,is worse than the actual procedure, we have the testimony of veterans on that. What kind of surgery will you be having? Come on tell me, I'll listen, I'm a grandma aged kakatlady, nothing shocks me anymore. Is there any fears I can disprove? How old are you? You would, like you might be young, cuddle up on my virtual lap and I'll rock you. Remember how far you've come already on your journey, you are gonna be fine. Now promise you'll let us know when your surgery is done, we love hearing happy stories here . a lot of us will be sending, good wishes your way and those who believe will be praying for you. Now get some rest for your big day.[emoji307] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  20. Yo have you see my posting on February sleepers etc, its an update on my life, feel life, has plunked down a prickly pear or century plant in my path. 21. Now to finish the previous thought. I called back to schedule my presurgical blood work. Lady#2 well I don't see YOU in the surgical schedule so don't count on then. Sat and cried for 5-10 minutes then since it WAS Social Security day and I had bills to,pay I left the house. Couldn't just sit there and wallow in my misery and besides I needed a change of scenery. When ibreturned home 2-3 hours later there was a call on my answering machine for surgery scheduling, immediately called them back only to find out they had left at 4pm and wouldn't be back until Monday at 7am. Have been stewing since then and imagining all kinds of scenarios. Am I still having surgery the 15th? Only God in Heaven knows and he hasn't sent me " a word of knowledge" as the TV evangelists say. My guess is between then and St Patrick's Day but then WHAT DO I KNOW? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
