  1. Hey Jen. I think I sent you a private message. Not sure if I did it correctly or not.
  2. I live in Frisco and work in Dallas. I'm having the band to sleeve revision on Aug 11 with Dr. Carlton form the Nicholson Clinc
  3. I'm going through the Nicholson Clinic and using Dr. Carlton
  4. I too am more worried about giving up food more than I am worried about the surgery!! I'm terrified to give up my best friend food! : ( quote name="TXTinana" post="3890542" timestamp="1437164565"]Honestly this is the part I am dreading the most. I start my liquid diet in 10 days. To me that's scarier than the surgery itself (how sad is that?) Keep updating on how it goes. Someone told me after the first week it gets easier, but I am just worried that it won't.
  5. I have my band to sleeve revision on Aug 11. I would love a friend or someone to chat with that I can give and get moral support, share ideas, etc. My family is supporting me but I want somebody who really understands what I am going thru.
  6. I am trying to get prepared for surgery which is on Aug 11. I want to get my vitamins and protein powders and shakes before hand. What is the best multivitamin that I need to take? Also, what are good protein powders that I can add to my liquids? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
  7. My revision from band to sleeve is Aug 11. I haven't had an unfill and doctor hasn't said anything about it. What have other people experienced? Did you have fluid in your band up until surgery?
  8. I will have my band to sleeve revision on Aug 11 with Dr. Carlton at the Nicholson Clinic in Dallas. I live in Frisco.
  9. I get my band to sleeve revision on August 11th
  10. Today I have accomplished a huge place in my journey. I finally am below the 300's and I am never going back! Surgery was 1-4-13 and I am down 40 pounds. It's slow, but I am learning more everyday.
  11. I need to be better at it. I do most of the time but not always
  12. I was trying to use insurance at first but eventually had to self pay
  13. I was banded Jan 4 of this year and I lost 20 pounds pre diet and have lost 10 post diet
  14. I went in for my 2nd fill today and had gained 2 pounds! I'm always hungry and I have never been good at dieting so I'm pretty much failing! I'm doing my best at staying on track but that's the whole reason I'm fat in the first place! Anyone start out this way and still be successful at losing weight?
  15. I'm four weeks out and mine still hurts if I'm laying down wrong or sitting wrong
  16. I understand what's happening but it's hard for me to explain to other people. My sister really wants to understand how it works but she doesn't understand my explanation. Maybe somebody can break it down a little easier than I can. Also, I do have one question. If the band is around my stomach to create a smaller pouch, then what is the opening that is so small that I have to chew and take extra small bites for? I assumed it was the opening to my stomach, but that doesn't make sense to me if the band is around my stomach and not affected the opening. I know this mat be a stupid question, but apparently I don't know as much as I thought.
  17. I take it! : ) I'm only 4 weeks post op
  18. I feel like I have been eating all day and I am still hungry! What causes days like this?
  19. Thanks everyone! Makes so much sense!
  20. What causes them after being banded?
  21. Awesome! I was a 24 before surgery and have dropped one size. I was banded Jan 4. I can't wait to get to size 16!
