My revision from band to sleeve is Aug 11. I haven't had an unfill and doctor hasn't said anything about it. What have other people experienced? Did you have fluid in your band up until surgery?

My band was unfilled six weeks before I was sleeved but I was having trouble with my band.

I was unfilled about 6 weeks before surgery too but I was throwing up everything I tried to eat. Plus I was getting ready to make a trip for work to Colorado and the altitude when I had gone before made my band tighten up really tight.

My doctor said he didn't want to unfill me until my sleeve surgery date because he doesn't want me to gain weight while I wait.

Awesome question...I called my surgeons office before my EGD LLast week and asked the same thing. He asked me to come in for an unfill so you might want to ask. My surgery is a week after you on Aug17th. Best of Luck????

I'm going in on the 10th. Looking forward to the change. My band has not been emptied yet either and I plan on keeping it full till surgery unless told to empty it.
