Any one from Texas?

Any Texas sleevers in here? I'm a 31 yr old mom of 2(5 & 7), live around Dallas. My surgery is on Feb 9th. Just looking for a good group of people that chat with. I can't relate to older folks having surgery, as I really think the recovery & life struggles will be different because of age.

Oh wow, that's a drive!! I'm just north, in Lewisville!

I know, right! haha...but it gives me a nice little time all to myself!

I'm in Wichita Falls, but had my surgery in Dallas with Dr. Jayaseelan.

I'm in north ftw but work in Irving. Had surgery 1/19 with dr. Adam smith.

How's everyone doing? How are those who just had surgery?

Sarah - how are you doing with your date so close?

Hi my name is Shanna. I'm from the Houston area. I had my surgery on January 26th and I'm doing pretty good. I get to start purred and soft foods tomorrow and I'm a little nervous about that!

Hi Shanna! How are you doing so far? How was the surgery?

Hey everyone! I am a 30 year old female from Fort Worth / Keller area. I had gastric sleeve Oct 15 2014 so I am almost 4 months post op. I have lost about 72 pounds but have been at another stall for 2 weeks. Frustrating! How is everyone else doing? I would love to talk with more ladies in my area about our process. It is definitely difficult for people to understand unless they have been there.

Hi apeters9284! Wow, that's fantastic...72 pounds! I don't have my surgery until May 4...I'm so excited...yet, at the same time terrified. Can you give me any advice?

Texas lady here (N.Houston/Woodlands).... hoping to have a March surgery date (self-pay). Nervous but ready to not have my gut in the weight or my thighs rubbing till they're raw (like at outdoor wedding this past weekend :( )

Anyone here planning to have kids (esp first) after WLS?
