Frustrated

I went in for my 2nd fill today and had gained 2 pounds! I'm always hungry and I have never been good at dieting so I'm pretty much failing! I'm doing my best at staying on track but that's the whole reason I'm fat in the first place! Anyone start out this way and still be successful at losing weight?

  • How much have you lost since your surgery? Could be time of day, time of month, too much sodium yesterday. Are you logging your intake? Your hunger should be more manageable once you are in the green zone and it may take a few more fills to get there. In the meantime it will be like dieting.

I was banded Jan 4 of this year and I lost 20 pounds pre diet and have lost 10 post diet

that's awesome! I know when I wasn't losing as fast as I thought I should be, I would get mad myself. But then I would have to tell myself.....Where would my weight be at this moment had I not had the surgery??? definitely higher than what I started at! So, don't be too hard on yourself. It's not a race, you are in this for life! Just out of curiosity, I see you joined back in 2008. What made you wait so long to have the surgery?

I was trying to use insurance at first but eventually had to self pay

Are you logging everything you are eating?

I need to be better at it. I do most of the time but not always

I tell you, it has been my saving grace. I weigh and measure everything I eat and track it on myfitnesspal.com. If I didn't, I could always eat way more than I should.

I do the same thing so I can see what I eat, how much I am eating, and to keep track of my calories and Protein intake. I was banded 4 weeks ago and no fills yet (scheduled for 1st fill on 3/7).
