  1. 1. Probably biotene mouthwash but not sure, I didn’t use anything 2. Super common and you maybe tired for a little while post op too 3. Morphine, oxy and hydrocodone also have no effect on me. I requested Dilaudid post op (while in the hospital only) transferred to oral tramadol at home for a couple days then used extra strength Tylenol until I was pain free. I did not form an addiction (I have no issues with addiction to pain meds and had several surgeries after with the same routine with no problems, but I always stay vigilant by using pain meds pony when truly needed ❤️) 4. Only IV the pain pump (Dilaudid)
  2. For me, Cardiology clearance was an EKG & Pulmonary was a sleep study.
  3. My ideal amount of calories fluctuates. I have a scale that tells me what my BMR is based on weight/body fat/muscle mass, hydration, etc. It currently says around 1560 so I *try* to keep this in mind when I make choices throughout the day if I’m trying to lose a little. Technically, I think I could go over this amount by a couple of hundred calories and be fine but I would need to track for an extended period of time to be certain. That sounds like a lot of work to me ? You may need to come up with a way to figure out your needs, but a few things to keep in mind: Are you at or close to goal/normal weight? That can slow the process down a lot. Do you know your weightloss vs maintenance calorie goals ? If you haven’t gained or lost, you are likely in maintenance. COVID/Quarantine stressors have affected a lot of people. Some people have lost but plenty of people have gained weight as well from stressful times. You maybe maintaining. Any other major life changes like medication of menopause, subsequent illness can cause plateaus and even gains. I hope that helped a little ❤️
  4. ❤️Congratulations on advance!!!❤️
  5. I think these need to be quality controlled...
  6. I like Floradix Iron and Herbs for fast absorption and bioavailability (ask doctor first)
  7. Easiest on the full site, harder on mobile Go to the menu section and under account you’ll find options for profile or account settings. I believe it’s under one of those menu items
  8. ☝Agreed Unfortunately there is probably nothing (non surgical) for the amount of excess skin we WLS folks have. And if you find something that promises wonders it will likely cost more than traditional skin removal surgeries with less effect.
  9. Thankfully it’s not thrush. That takes forever to go away and often comes right back, it’s so annoying. Are you currently drinking more protein shakes than clear fluids? The protein shakes can cause a coating too because they are so thick. This happens to me when I drink too much tea w/cream and not enough water. It does go away if I brush after each drink. Good Luck!
  10. Sounds like thrush, ask your Primary physician https://health.clevelandclinic.org/thrush-the-white-stuff-growing-in-your-mouth-and-how-to-get-rid-of-it/amp/
  11. Request an appeal and have your team resubmit everything over again. Also ask if they will provide you with copies of everything that will be submitted so if there are any mistakes you can catch them yourself. Good Luck ❤️
  12. I’d like a reservation for Shawarma
  13. I find comfort in information (but too much is also not good). I did not look at other people’s personal experiences only at statistics and medical procedure videos. *This may not work for you, so focus on what works* Once I felt confident with the procedure, I began to visualize my life after surgery in the most positive light. I had this idealized version of myself standing on a balcony at night in a tropical climate with a white grecian dress on happily smiling. I was healthy and fit. Another was siting on a giant comfortable sofa with workout clothing on drinking a cup of tea. Again peaceful, fit and comfortable with myself. Neither one of those scenarios have happened (yet ??) but now I look and feel exactly how I imagined. Hope that helps ❤️
  14. May we all have subdued hunger forever ??
  15. Feast your eyes on this culinary masterpiece ? (yes another boring turkey and cheese sandwich)
  16. My self reflection prior to WLS ?
  17. You don’t necessarily need to make to goal quickly to be successful. Even after the hunger returns I found it to be completely manageable and I was much more aware of how/why/when to eat. In retrospect, I was completely mindless about food (and especially drinks) before WLS.
  18. 6-7 months, but when hunger returned it was no where near pre surgery levels
  19. I have not made it but the last time I ate it the spices I could detach were distinctly leaning toward the Italian side (which most people would expect from a tomato gravy) so not traditional but it worked
