How far out from surgery are you? 4-5 years?

I purchase a small bag of lupin flour to try making alternative breads etc but haven't worked with it yet Let us know how it taste! Also it looks like most of the protein is from collagen (hydrolyzed beef bone) so if you don't end up liking this particular soup you *could* just potentially add any unflavored collagen protein powder you like to and soup/broth to get the same macros!

Baked goods/pastries made with regular sugar (but honestly it's really hit or miss because sometimes I can & other times I cannot and pay the price ?)

I didn't have one set by my surgeon initially. Once I hit a certain BMI (28) they told me I was good to go. I think I'm eternally grateful for this because there was very little pressure and I could focus on building a forever lifestyle I was happy with

Sometimes I forget im a July surgery baby too (because I had a revision) but stopping by to update: Had my 6 month Bari surgeon visit yesterday (albeit a month late) and he was EXTREMELY happy that my GERD is gone, my weight remained stable and I did not have any new complaints So I am doing well, maintaining, completed plastics & enjoying life ❤

So here's something you probably didn't know going into a revision from sleeve to bypass: with a sleeve your natural/original pyloric sphincter/valve remains intact but once converted you no longer have use of it. The strong restriction that was felt/existed with a sleeve *may* never be felt again. But that's OK because you have a malabsorption tool now and if you use it properly (not chasing a restriction feeling & following through with the lifestyle change) you'll do just fine ❤
