  2. Last night I gave into something I haven't for a long time, I am a big bread addict. Almost a scary bread addict, which is why I became so focused on icecream afterwards, to get all that sugar that bread turns into in my belly. We don't buy white bread because of that. And I had been doing great. But the other two people in my household miss it pretty badly. My gf had a really bad day so I bought a loaf of white bread to make her this thing with bread and egg she likes for breakfast. Last night I got up just to take the bread with a glass of milk to wash it down. It was a fight to learn not to eat while I was drinking, and I've gotten so much better...but last night it was almost like having a relapse. I know that this sounds stupid, but I was really really addicted to bread my whole life. Seriously. Thats why I thought the band would work for me because you can't have bread, my biggest problem...unfortunately there is ways to get it down anyway. I forgive myself, but that is the LAST time white bread can be brought in the house. It's just too much temptation for a true bread addict. Or carb addict.
  3. I'm not reading that crap anymore. It's so one sided. Give me something unbaised and I might go further than the first paragraph. That is extreme left or extreme right. I'm tired of it. McCain isn't Satan, Obama isn't the Devil. I enjoy reading others opinions, especially if I can learn something. I haven't been involved in Politics for that long, and I do think I have a lot to learn, but I won't read propaganda anymore. (For both canidates) I'm not stupid, or anything else, I just don't have the energy or the time to try to prove someone wrong, or even to show another side of an argument, to someone that has such strong, deep deep deep beliefs and loud opinions, like Gadgetlady. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it makes it hard to debate someone, or learn anything from someone like that. I have too much stuff to do and not enough will or patience to go forcing someone to change their beliefs, It is a full time job with not a lot of actual productive results. Can we PLEASE vote now? *counting down the days*
  4. Today is weigh day for me and no change. Not up or down, but I'm ok with that. I had a bad bad weekend. Not a preband weekend, but not a good bander weekend. Lets see if I can step it up this week. Thankfully I am not a big fan of candy so Halloween shouldn't be too big of a problem...unless I drink booze.
  5. Welcome back, you look fantastic! Glad you came to visit again
  6. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I'm so glad it finally happened for you Ms.tapshoes!!!!!!
  7. I say go for it, but test results should be posted in the "office".
  8. Just wanted to do this
  9. Well. Not so good. I was a complete pig this weekend. I just couldn't get full. It's my fault. I was making bad choices. I think it's because I don't visit here on the weekend, so I don't get reminded that why I try to eat the right things.
  10. Yep, no icecream for me. I think I have kicked the habit. I'm sure it will come back in another form. but for now I'm good.
  11. Not speechless, never speechless, I talk in my sleep. I'm just tired and ready to vote, debate at this point is just the same things being said over and over and over and over and over and over. I guess we will see how everyone's theories work out then huh? I hope it all turns out well no matter who gets elected.
  12. You guys crack me up.
  13. pfffffft. That's all just pfffffffft.
  14. I haven't seen it since Whoopi took over, like I said, I gave up on that show.
  15. The more I read, the more I want to cry. It's such a giant step backward, and it's getting so ugly in california. People are wearing their prejudice loudly. Posting it in their yards. They have collected millions and millions of dollars. I am so depressed about this whole situation. The really frustrating part is I can't vote for it, since I don't live there. The part that really upsets me is that they want to change California's constitution. BECAUSE IT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL TO TELL PEOPLE THEY CAN'T GET MARRIED SO THEY WANT TO CHANGE IT! And they are winning. My heart is hurting. It's halfway across the country, but it will feel like it is happening to me. I have told myself that when I get out of Louisiana to more cultured and varied places, that the prejudice will be gone, that it is just because I live deep in the south that people make comments and stare...but it's there. All the prejudice, they were just hiding it. Is anyone else as upset about this as I am?
  16. Elizabeth is a little crazy...but every single woman on the view is crazy. I can't stomach that show. I watched it long long ago, before their fame led them to believe that everything they say is really really important. I mean way back in the Lisa Ling days (I think that was her name) when Star Jones was still pretty and single and they hadn't learned to hate each other yet. Before Rosie O'Donnell went on the show I tried to have some kind of respect for her, but watching just a few episodes I was like "eeeh". I really can't stand anyone who gets on their high horse about every single frickin issue. Be they liberal or conservative. And just for your information I have never called Bush the devil where any of you conversatives could hear. What I say when your not around...that doesn't effect you.
  17. thats really cool Tapshoes. Marcie, when she isn't working in the lab, edits grants and such for her work. I told her editing must be the most boring job that ever existed. (No offense) I couldn't make myself do it. Then again my attention span when I'm not physically creating something is the equivalent to a two year old who has been giving way to much candy by a bad babysitter. I have lots of respect for people who can sit still long enough and pay so much attention to someone else's work. I love to write, but the the spelling and such has always been my down fall. I told Marcie that when I finally finish my book, I'm making her edit it. Saving money is my favorite. She said ok, but we will have to see what she says when I finish it.
  18. I haven't gotten a chance to see the speech yet, and I don't get sound at work. I will have to wait till I get home. I really like her. Edited to add that I did read the transcripts and they gave me chill bumps. Thanks for posting.
  19. Fav writers- Tamora Peirce, Laurie Notaro, David Sedaris, L.J Smith, Stephan King, Jeanette Wintorson, Mary Gaitskill, J.W Rowling, and Scott Fitzgerald. Favorite books- I loved Harry Potter, I love everyone and other atrocious lies, I'm currently reading "The Cell" by stephan King...but my all time favorite book is "Two girls: One fat one thin" my Mary Gaitskill. It's amazing, but draining. Movies Best- Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, Donnie Darko, Killer Clowns from outer space, Boys Don't Cry, Cigarettes and Romance, Bound, Empire Records, Foxfire, Brouge Worst- Blades of Glory (Worst Movie Ever!), Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Any of the National Lampoons.
  20. Thank you tapshoes. I have been waiting and fighting and crying, but maybe it's finally working. Just another little victory. With those three lbs I have a BMI lower than 50 finally. I'm pretty happy about it.
  21. Today's weight put me under 50 Bmi. I have a BMI of 49 now, started with a 54. Just wanted to share.
  22. Your a smart lady Ms.Jodi. I think your suggestion, or maybe counting how many time the same things can be said by different folks are the only two options we have been allowed. Let's try to bury the horse so people will stop beating the poor thing.
  23. Official what's my weight day. Somehow, Someway, I am three lbs down.
  24. Call it whatever you want...doesn't make you any less wrong, not to mention offensive. I have to agree with luluc and will not be discussing abortion anymore, not on this thread or any other. Topics always go here and there on threads but there is no use trying to discuss anything with people who yell out "baby killer" and "murderer!" Instead of having an intelligent, civil discussion. It's not worth the time or effort. Your accusations don't change my vote or the outcome of this election.
  25. Supporting a woman's right to choice does not equal baby killer. That is an ignorant statement. Go ahead don't vote for him, but the term "baby killer" is highly offensive, incorrect, and wrong. I don't call a pro-life person crazy or controlling or backwards , don't call pro-choicers baby killers or murderers. I agree with your right to not vote for Obama for whatever reason you choose, but please don't say, or type, words like that. It's horrible.
