Clothing sizes
I've lost 30lbs and am barely the size down...I squeezed in some jeans that were tooooooo tight two months ago, in fact I bought them for my little sis but they were too big so I was thought...maybe after my surgery and I am wearing them now. I have a muffin top when I sit but I am really happy anyway. I have been crying that I haven't gone down sizes like I should for a 30lb loss, but then I think about how I refused to go the size up so maybe that is why I haven't gone down too much. I was wearing too tight clothes. :cursing::blushing::smile:

Check in Febsters!
Oooookay! I know you can reach those goals Angie, good wishes. I haven't had a fill yet. I was banded on 2/27/07. I am having major issues curbing my emotional eating and though the weight is coming off I am constantly worried about my band (I'm a worrier) My first goal is to be 280 by June 22 when I go to Houston for Cyndi Lauper's true colors concert. I went last year at 340 and felt huge. It may not be possible, but its what I am shooting for. I have my first fill April 17th. Really looking forward to it, just to see what it is like. I haven't weighed myself in over a week so I need to check that soon. This week has been a little bit of a disaster for me so hopefully the scales haven't moved up yet.

Anyone not losing due to emotional eating/eating around band?

First NSV for clothes for me. I couldn't find a bra this morning, so I finally picked up that bra that never fit me even when I bought it, but I was going to lose weight so it would fit...I bought it two years ago. It fits! I never thought I could wear it, but it was so cool I wanted it anyway. TMI, but it's zebra striped with a long pink bow down the middle and lace trim around the edges. It isn't even tight around the strap. Last time I tried to wear it I couldn't get it snapped and that is with all my excess fluff draped around the edges completely covering the straps on the side. It isn't even tight on the sides now. It's on the second hook!!!!!!

I still haven't had a fill, but I am scheduled to go to the Dr. on April 17th and we will see then.

And, just like that it's gone!
a few pieces of chocolate is better than a whole chocolate cake...thats where I used to go when I was upset, or rolls.
-
What food/drink do you miss the most?
champagne. I would have a bottle on the weekends.

I'm so tired of the question "Can you eat this?"
I don't mind "How much weight have you lost" what I DOOOO mind is when I am eating with my family or friends and I make a plate (a salad plate) and they say. "Dont make yourself sick" I know how much I can eat thank you.

I need help. Lets Low carb it togethor here. VV!
So I was hoping we could do this here. I need extra help. Maybe we could low carb it togethor? Since I am just starting this fresh I was hoping noone would mind me starting a new thread for it at my home VV. The other thread on the main forum is so large and intimidating. Anyone want to do this with me? recipes? Ideas? I am supposed to be eating this way anyway so I thought I could renew my commitment (or actually make one) to low carb lifestyle now. Protein first, Veggies if room, and hopefully no carbs. :puke:

Is there room for one more?
I have lost more, but then again I started out at 329. I think when you are larger you tend to lose the weight faster. With the exception of Jax, but she is amazing and follows that no carb diet so well. Props to her. You are doing great. My mom lost twenty lbs by her self, it took her almost 4 months. Keep your head up and keep your eyes on the goal. After your fill, perhaps you will find your "sweet spot"

And, just like that it's gone!
That is a very hard thing to go through and she is incredibly brave. I didn't come out to my parents until I was 25 and I feel like they haven't really known exactly who I am for half my life. Tell your family to be glad that she is brave enough and loves them enough to tell them exactly who they are. There are also support groups. Pflag- Parents and friends of Lesbians and gays. They will get through this. I am glad she is home also. And for an emotional eater you make great choices.

I love to pretend Manda :puke: Glad to have you here!- List your lapband confessions here.
Oh ok...so I meet a new guy. I am over Mickey. I really am, but I went on vacation last night and I meet Carl Jr. I have never meet him before as I live in louisiana where the only boy is Mickey, and the only girl Wendy. So Carl didn't tempt me too much and I did ok...until he invited me in for a captain crunch shake. I promise though, I feel so guilty and it is def. going to be just a one night stand! :puke:- Support groups?
Gastric Bypass is so extreme, and not adjustable, but it IS the right choice for some. But those were my reasons for steering away from it...besides price diffrence (selfpay), longer recovery time, and the "dumping" effect. I haven't gone to any support groups, but I live in n.louisiana and there are not too many support groups for anything down here. This is my support group. I love this website.- I just really wanted to share
Thanks everyone. I will keep the appt. I appreciate the input - List your lapband confessions here.
